One of the best breakfast burrito spots in minny! Located in uptown where the old Mucci's Italian was. Really spacious place with tons of seating (great for a birthday or big event). The steak burrito was extremely filling and the tortilla was flavored and seasoned which is different than most places. Their fries amazing too and they have great Spanish coffee. We came here to get dinner on the eve of Mother's Day with our parents! It's in the heart of uptown, so it's a buzzy area with a lot of foot traffic. The restaurant itself prides itself on its connection to the community, with many signs and posters from and for community events and organizations. There's no table service -- you go up to a counter and order. The menu has many options so it's not just burritos (but have lots of varieties of burritos and you can also build your own). We loved the fact they had a vegan option with the soyrizo. The soyrizo burrito I ordered was DELICIOUS. The Diablo salsa we ordered was maybe some of the best salsa we've ever had. Lastly, we also ordered the taquitos, which were filled with potatoes and cheese. Also really, really good, especially with their salsa. Planned to grab brunch here after a Sunday AM run on the lake as a treat post workout and WOW we were not disappointed. My husband and I both got the horchata cold brew which was so rich and creamy. We had the breakfast burrito supreme and the Lito breakfast burrito with chorizo (which was more like a crunch wrap). This is easily the best breaky burritos in MN and we will be back again and again. I absolutely love all the anti ICE things they have on display. The coffees came out super quick and the burritos took about 10 minutes on a busy Sunday morning. There is ample seating and tons of cool plants and greenery through. A very open concept vibe. This was our second stop at Lito's since their opening. On our first visit they had just opened and were out of several items so we had to go back! On this day they had a couple specials. We split the brisket burrito and it was huge and filllllllled with brisket. There are a variety of sauces and salsas to pick from with various spice levels which is a great customization. Easy to find, right on the corner on Lake Street. There was some parking in the lot behind the building but not much. There's also street parking available. I came during a weekday lunch and there weren't many people in there. The restaurant is larger than you'd expect, with lots of decor and natural light. I wonder what this place turns into in the evening! Food wise, there was lots to choose from, burritos, tacos, I tried the special, the Tacitos. It came with 4 fried tacitos covered in beans, cheese, and lettuce with salsa on the side. Price was very reasonable considering all I had. They took a little time to make which helps reiterate that things are made fresh. My first bite down to the last was full of flavor. I've been trying to go to this place in the neighborhood for a long time. Finally made it in and did not disappoint! Staff were attentive and helpful. The interior is spacious and fun. (We love a business that supports the community). Burrito was the LA Supreme as I was told it was the most ordered on their menu. I added a cheese crust (+$2) and some chorizo(+$4). Everything was perfectly balanced, from the ratio of beans/rice/meat. On top of that, they all taste fresh. Will definitely recommend this spot. Can't wait to come back for more. read more

After going to have brunch at Lito's a few times in Richfield before they opened their own brick and mortar, we were so excited to check out their new uptown spot. We were not disappointed! I am dreaming about the burrito I had with tots in it, it was so good. The flavors were incredible. The parking lot was a little crowded (but that's not Lito's fault!). Service was great, vibes are great, plenty of space to hang out and eat in if you want. Lito's is also hugely community oriented and we love them for it. Wanted to support Lito's after I heard about their Horchata donations to MIRAC, plus their burritos looked amazing. Got the chorizo Lil Lito burrito (it has tots inside!) and a horchata with NO ICE of course. The staff was super friendly and the food was just as delicious as it looked. Coming at this as someone who grew up in Southern California, I try to give Minneapolis Mexican food a lot of grace. That said, it's rare for a spot here to come remotely close to even the worst Mexican place back home. First things first, the owners of Lito's Burritos, how dare you disrespect California burritos by calling your version the "LA Burrito." California burritos were invented in San Diego, the 619, not LA. Alright, rant over. I've had the chance to try a good portion of the menu since they've been open for about two weeks. The tacos were honestly nothing special. The meat was juicy, but the cilantro and onions looked old and not very fresh. I also ordered my tacos with madre verde sauce, which wasn't included, so I had to go back up to ask for it. I tried their take on carne asada fries, and I was genuinely excited to see them on a Minneapolis menu. The seasoned fries were great for the first few bites, but the dish quickly became overwhelming, too salty once combined with the already salty meat. Once again, the sauces I ordered were forgotten. Both the tacos and fries could be excellent if they let the Maillard reaction actually happen on the meat. Everything was cooked through, but the flavor leaned more steamed than grilled. The LA style street dog was very solid. I actually liked it a lot and was happy to see it offered. Bonus points for using a 100 percent beef frank. I also had the California burrito, ordered correctly without rice and beans, which are a cardinal sin in burritos, though sadly standard outside of California. It was good. Not the best I've had in the Twin Cities, but definitely solid. Lastly, I tried a few breakfast burritos and they were all good. The standout was the soyrizo burrito. Even with rice and beans, it was flavorful and satisfying. My only real complaint with the burritos overall is the tortillas. They tasted grainy and very factory made, which held them back. Overall, this is a solid spot. That said, for being on Lake Street, it doesn't really stand out among the many strong options in the area. But when it comes to value, the prices are very fair for the quality of food you're getting. read more

Ordered the LA and birria burritos. Both had a generous amount of meat. The LA was a bit of a miss personally as I didn't enjoy the fries being in the burrito like I thought I would. Without the fries, it would have been a decent burrito though. The meat seemed to have an off flavor that i cant figure out what it was.... maybe an artificial smoke? However, i dont mean to imply the meat flavor was bad overall. The birria was great on its own, but the consume had too much of cinnamon or cloves...couldn't tell which was overpowering the liquid but both were VERY strong. The biggest disappointment was the "salsa's." I ordered two different crema style salsas. I assumed it was going to have a small amount of crema(may have been sour cream) and majority salsa, but it was the exact opposite...a tiny bit of salsa flavoring and almost all crema/sourcream.
