In that time I've easily spent over $5000 in their shop and never had a complaint. Today I had an appointment for some computer reset work on a couple of dashboard lights--basic stuff. After dropping the keys at the service desk I went into the small showroom and ask the man at the desk--the only person in there--whether he would mind if I sat in a corner and played the mandolin while waiting. He said, "Fine with me." So I sat in the corner and took out the instrument--an antique Gibson--and checked the tuning. I should say here that I am a professional musician. I've played all over the world--this is not to boast, just to say that I was not about to inflict musical mayhem on the staff. However, I had barely started into one tune when I was faced with a waxen-faced man with a grey pompadour, looming over me and barking, "You can't do that here! This is a showroom, not a music hall. People have to work!" Did I mention that I was the only customer at the time? I told him that I'd asked permission from the man at the desk, and he shouted, "You asked the wrong person! I'm the owner!" I asked, "Well is there anyplace private in the building where I might play?" He jerked his thumb at the parking lot and growled, "Out there!" Where it was all of 35 degrees. I said, "Thank you for your kindness and friendliness," and started to pack up the mandolin. He turned around and started for his office, but in a moment I saw him turn back and head for the service area. Aware that something was afoot, I followed him. The service manager had my keys on the desk and was giving me an apologetic shrug. This hair-trigger tyrant had just cancelled my appointment. I collected my keys and drove the forty minutes home, dashboard lights still shining. Whatever one's feelings about the sound of music in an auto showroom. I would suggest that this man's approach to customer service may leave something to be desired. He needs training, or possibly a therapeutic intervention. In any case, I'll certainly not be darkening their doors again, with or without an instrument in hand.

Gerry took a look at it, pronounced it not a big deal and said he could easily fix it. I made an appointment and showed up first thing in the morning. When Ed (Gerry's brother) arrived, he examined it and told me he could fix it in five minutes. I think it took him three. And he did a beautiful job - scratch disappeared, looks like new again. The price? Well, I think it comes out to a lunch for Ed. Now, ours was really a minor job, but the professionalism of Gerry and Ed was so evident. They know their stuff and they are friendly and efficient in their work. If we needed serious body repair we would come here, and we would recommend them over anyone else we know of in this area. He really worked with me to fit the repair into my budget and I could NOT be more pleased with the results! Not only did they do a beautiful job painting my car, fixing a fender and cutting out and replacing a piece of my rear fender that was rusting, but they also fixed my headlights that had become foggy over time. I didn't even ask for that! They just cared enough to make the repair so I'd be safer out on the road. I'm VERY pleased with their work and DEFINITELY recommend them. Thanks, Gerry!

Again I was treated with respect and a knowledgeable team effort to ensure my needs were met. Special Thanks to my sales advisor Robyn who made herself available to me even during her time off to answer questions and assisted with connecting me to onsite staff promptly. Gerson (sales manager) worked together seamlessly with Robyn from start of sale until the end. Again Riverhead Mazda Team went way above and beyond! ***Original Review *** 11/02/25 Phenomenal SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!! Thank you Greg Williams and your ENTIRE Service Team for providing me with respect. After purchasing a Mazda from another dealer in Huntington not only were you able to finally fix an on going issue that I had been having since day of purchase (from them the previous year) but you and your team went above and beyond to rectify my relationship with Mazda after their dealership dismissed and minimized my issue (while failing to present the product that I paid for with my hard earned money). You were HONEST, informative and attentive the moment I walked in which made my experience easy and amazing. Good people are hard to find, thank you for being one. I am so happy and will not hesitate to be a return customer with you and your team at Riverhead Mazda. THANK YOU!!!!
