    Buffalo chicken on cauliflower crust
    John L. H.

Lit is awesome! What is your name? John Are you dining in or to-go? to-go What can I get you, John? Buffalo chicken in cauliflower crust. It is a preference, not an allergy. This is the conversation every time I go here. Why? Because it is a great pizza that is actually low-carb crust. Most places that serve cauliflower crust add cauliflower to the regular crust. If you check the cars it is basically the same as a regular pizza. Lit's cauliflower is not and it actually tastes great. The one drawback s you have to eat it with a fork and knife and your co-workers will make fun of you. If you can handle that, get you some cauliflower crust ya herd? I have also ventured off the reservation but keep coming back to the buffalo chicken. Want it to be really good, add ham and red onions. That s some next-level pizza right there. I strongly recommend getting here as the doors open at 11 so you don't have much of a wait. If you are eating in then it is not a big deal but I always get it to go. Because it is so close to campus I don't want anyone mistaking me for an LSU student and asking me to study or something.

I'm a pizza person to an extent but I can be iffy about the "wood-fired in front of you" concept. I came to Lit because of the low prices and man it was delicious! Although the place is kind of tiny, it's well worth to get a pizza of this stature for such a low price! Definitely will be returning to support LA businesses!

When Lit Pizza first came to Baton Rouge, I made sure that I went to try it. It was definitely well worth it. For 8 bucks, you can make your own pizza and add anything you want to it. It starts off with the meat, cheese, veggies, sauces, and even crusts. After it gets blasted in the oven, you can add more toppings to it like more cheese and more sauces. You can even add those sauces on the side in little containers. There's a lot you can actually get here since you can buy cookies, merchandise, and even get cups for some of their unique drinks. The service here has always been exceptional. I was never disappointed when I come here. The people make your pizza really quickly and usually give you a good portion of what you choose. The workers are always working and getting things done. The cashier is usually polite and kind. The post-blasting worker works quickly to get what you want on your pizza and get you out if there's a lot of people. Having great service and a self serve beverage and other additional toppings area is really nice. The leftover boxes are laid out and makes it easy for the customers to grab. The tables are usually clean and allows for you to sit and talk to others since the seats are not really separated into individual tables on the inside. It is definitely the place to pop by for a quick lunch break and leave. The taste of this place really depends on the person. You can make the most delicious pizza ever or the worst depending on your choices. The ingredients are all pretty fresh and taste pretty good. There was only one time that I made a bad pizza and that was because the pizza was salty. The sauces are pretty tasty, but I am a fan of the red sauce. The choices of toppings is quite large. The post-blast toppings are also really interesting. The EVOO sauce goes pretty well with more veggie oriented pizzas. The balsamic glaze is definitely where it is at. There's a lot of good flavors in it, and I put it on every pizza that I m

I can never give LIT a poor review. They just opened so it's still the perfection process, of the store. I'm so happy to have this location close to my house. I don't have to drive across town for my pizza fix.

Lit pizza is delicious. You choose your own toppings, so you get the pizza you want to have. The crust is light and crispy. Served hot and fast.

The pepperoni pizza was really good. I tried the pesto also but didn't like it. It had a weird tangy sauce on top.

My brick oven pizza "build your own" past has been with Blaze pizza and I thought I would never find anything equal. LIT Pizza is amazing. Down to the sauce to the many toppings offered, it was such a great pizza. Compared to other places, the prices are similar as well...about $8 for one. Just like Blaze, they have blood orange lemonade as well. So yummy. I will definitely be back!

I looked around and saw that all of the tables inside were reserved and we were lucky enough to be seated on the patio, where there were also a good number of tables reserved. It wasn't too bad being outside because they had some space heaters, and the table we were at had a nice view of the sunset. There was also live music, which to us was a huge plus. Our server was Chloe, and she was great! Attentive enough that we never had to wait for anything, and very pleasant. We started with a mule for me and an espresso martini for my friend. She says it's one of the best, if not the best, espresso martini she has had in Baton Rouge. My mule was the just strong enough to hit the spot. As far as our food goes, we loved how fresh the bruschetta tasted and how the meatballs practically melted in your mouth. My friend preferred the Lil Peppa because she liked their red sauce a lot and I preferred the salsiccia con potate (mozzarella, Italian sausage, roasted potatoes and rosemary with a white sauce) because I found the flavor combinations interesting. I favored the tiramisu, while she favored the cannoli. We were both in agreement that we would come back and get all of these again, so they were all winners to us.

There's no organization to what anyone is doing. The dining room tables aren't bussed and about five walk-ins and me are waiting for online orders. There's nobody directing the kitchen and no front-end person catering to the three tables there. Now I've worked in restaurants for half my working life and some in grad school. These deficiencies are exacerbated by not having a firm managerial hand. It's what happens when everyone is in their 20s with little to no experience in the world reacting to a rush rather than being proactive. There's no reason why I should wait 20 mins for two pizzas when I get there after ordering it 15 mins prior to leaving my house just down the street and 5 or 6 staff working. There were enough people to handle the rush if they had more leadership and direction. That's the sad part.

The service was great and the vibe is nice. There are some menu modifications like the initial smoked wings now being fried and a slight variation in the wing sauces. The new pizza crust has too much cornmeal in the recipe. The old thin crust was the way to go with minimal cornmeal if it had it at all before. Cheese sticks were slightly burnt at the bottom and too much cornmeal in its crust also. Wings were good but my family and I prefer the smoked vs fried a hundred times over. Hot honey wing sauce was delicious. Decent visit overall but honestly not a huge fan of the food changes other than the location. Will try again soon.
