We have spent +thou$ands of dollars at Nostalgic Bed & Breakfast in the past two years, BUT NEVER AGAIN. Last month we invited family members to take a vacation with us and everyone arranged for vacation time from work. The last time we stayed there was the first week of June, 2020. Yes, the COVID scamdemic was "reported nationwide," but we're all healthy and there were no problems booking. Now, TWO WEEKS before our confirmed date, Penny sent a TEXT message to cancel our reservation saying that they had "avoided being sick, but have decided they are safer this way." I've sent her 3 texts in the last 12-hours, but have not received one reply! I certainly do not recommend making reservations here, without a good back up plan, since they obviously feel free to turn your plans upside down, two weeks before your confirmed arrival, on a whim. By the Grace of God, we may have found an even better, bigger, less expensive, and family friendly B&B in Panama City. The Rosemary Beach Inn is owned by the family that manages the restaurant downstairs, the Summer…read moreKitchen Cafe, and managed by the Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental Company. It is sort of like a hybrid between a hotel and an Airbnb. Check in occurs at their central office about two blocks away. We received a warm welcome from the staff at the desk and got parking passes, keys to the room and codes to all the closed access areas such as the pool and beach. We also received a card that supposedly would get us discounts around town. We drove over to the property and were able to park in one of the two reserved spots right outside the main door. We went up to our room on the third floor via elevator. The rooms are small and felt more like a European hotel room than an American one. The bedroom portion is updated but the bathroom was a little tired. Everything was pretty comfortable for such a small space and we appreciated the ceiling fan. There was a Keurig as well with some of the best k-cups I've ever had (Illy Dark Roast). On the first of two nights, we had trouble sleeping due to the activity on the square outside (you are in the center of downtown Rosemary Beach, right by the Pearl) and also because the shutters were banging against the outside of the house, like another reviewer noted. We ended up having an interesting relationship with the downstairs restaurant. We received "breakfast" vouchers that got you coffee or tea, juice, four pieces of toast with jam or butter, and a very small fruit cup. I think the play was to get you in to the restaurant to order more food. We used the vouchers for cups of ice and morning coffee, though like I said the Keurig was pretty sufficient. They also generously supplied mixers for a cocktail we were making up in the room. The property is very close to the beach and to one of four pools in Rosemary - the best one, in our opinion, having tried all four. One small issue was beach chairs. At check in, they claimed we would have two chairs per room, set up with our room number on them. When we went down to the beach there were no such chairs, but the staff quickly set some up for us after asking. It worked out just fine, but know that the beach can get pretty packed. Overall, if it's just you and one other, this is an inexpensive way to stay in Rosemary Beach and gain access to all the amenities. Our room was half the price of the Pearl next door and less expensive than any house or cottage would have been.

We enjoyed our time at…read moreCamp Creek Inn, and did our best to use the facilities both onsite and the nearby beach and facilities available to Camp Creek Inn patrons through the access provided to the private WaterSound Beach Club. As a facility, we were very pleased with the staff and their services as well as the facilities themselves. I was not as pleased with the policies associated with the I Prefer hotel rewards program though I recognize that this is not necessarily a Camp Creek Inn concern. From the check-in experience and the concierge, everyone did their best to anticipate our needs. We were offered some waters and/or champagne when arriving and invited to sit down when we were checking in (instead of standing in a line at a desk). We quickly found my wife's colleagues at the bar nearby in the Clubhouse. The rooms were delightful with great views (ours included a deer feeding area). There were nearby "Treat Suites" on each floor with ice cream treats, bagged chips and cookies, and coffees, hot chocolate, and more. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. There was a happy hour right outside the 1936 bar for my wife's company followed by a dinner meeting in a private room and then s'mores at the fire pits outside 1936. Some of my wife's colleagues continued conversing at 1936 afterwards. The next morning while my wife was in her meeting in the private room, I met a friend for breakfast at 1936 and then I visited the wellness center. When my wife's meeting was over, there was going to be a pickleball tournament, which was cancelled due to the weather. Some of my wife's colleagues enjoyed some golf then when the weather improved. We continued to use the pool, wellness center, and 1936 for the bar and breakfast options for the near few days. We also visited the Bark 'N Brine while at the pool for some casual dining and happy hour deals. The 1936 bar staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. They were familiar with the obscure cocktail requests that my friend made without referencing a recipe book. Special thanks to Dulce and Benjamin at the bar! Also, as a guest of the Camp Creek Inn, we were provided exclusive access to the private WaterSound Beach Club amenities with complimentary shuttles (daily 8 AM to 9 PM). The beach is private and not open to the general public though we had access because of the WaterSound Club. The Beach Club offers two 7,000 square foot pools, a spacious pool deck, and over a mile of private beach with complimentary chair and umbrella setups along with paddle board and kayak rentals. There are also several dining venues there, too. To be a part of the WaterSound Club as a member, there is a hefty initiation fee with monthly dues though staying at a hotel like the Camp Creek Inn allows us access as if we are a member without being an actual member. We enjoyed drinks and snacks at the Beach Break while visiting the Beach Club and its beach. While the stay was great, there was a lot of frustration in working with the reservation in advance. I hold Titanium status with the I Prefer Hotel Reward program, and while hotel benefits would still apply with many other chains if staying at a hotel as a part of a group, the I Prefer program said they aren't involved in a reservation if it is a group reservation. They also said it is up to the hotel itself to make a decision. The hotel, on the other hand, said that they needed to check with the I Prefer Hotel Reward program and their reservation team, but while they informed me they were "still checking" the day of check-in, they never did get back to me. I'm disappointed of how disconnected this hotel chain and reward program is. Regardless of this experience, we did enjoy our visit and would recommend this resort for a unique and special experience!

It wasn't super busy when we arrived, but as the night went on, it picked up. Even though there weren't that many people there, the people who were there were partying. They had good music and the waitstaff was awesome. Our server danced with my friend at one point since there were way more women there than men. The DJ also played "line dance" music which got a lot of the ladies out of their chairs. The drinks are strong and pretty cheap because everything is cheap in Panamá compared to the States. When we left, the restaurant downstairs was hopping. It seems that Tántalo basically turns into a nightclub in the evening. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but they apparently have really good food. It is also a hotel. Not sure if the noise from the bar is a problem for hotel guests at night, but it is something to consider if you're planning to stay there.

We went during the off season and compared to the cost of hotels these days we found this place to be inexpensive and an absolute delight. We had a courtyard room complete with yard swing, fish cleaning area, picnic tables, bike rack, and sitting area. Wrapped with a white picket fence, each room had its own screened patio. Recently having been renovated in a 50's/60's retro style, the room was IMMACULATE when we walked in. From the photos I saw online, I had my doubts about this place but upon my walk in, all my fears were put to rest. Clean, clean, clean!!! Comfy beds, full size refrigerator, satellite TV, wifi, hot shower, home-y views from the windows... an absolute gem! The only issue we had was that Ocracoke Island doesn't have AT&T cell service and since my friend couldn't figure out the room phone she ended up using the pay phone outside (Pay phone? Those still exist?!?!?!). This is not reflection of the hotel. We later learned that Ocracoke does receive other cell services just not the one we had. I would send any of my friends to this place as we really enjoyed our stay here. Plus, the person in the office was incredibly nice and helpful. I couldn't get myself to give 5 stars ONLY because I wasn't a fan of the decor. At first sight, it was a turnoff. I have a different personal style when it comes to hotel stays and this wasn't it. Had my friend not convinced me, I probably wouldn't have brought my business here. That would have been my loss! Glad we stayed.

Having access to preinstalled beach gear that's quality (I would never carry wood chairs despite their comfort!) was such a welcome treat! The umbrella was substantial. The chairs were quite comfortable. The view and ocean here? Unparalleled! The ocean water is bathtub warm and see your feet clear! Dolphins are frequently passing through. I saw my first ever whale spout! And the color is aqua. I adored my time here and am sad my review might jack up prices to stay but it's such a great getaway I couldn't gate keep it. You also get 50% off beach chair/umbrella rental at Cabana Man. The location could not be beat. We didn't have to drive anywhere while we were there. Dan greeted us when he arrived and he answered all questions we had throughout the week. We had so much fun riding our bikes around Seaside and parking them on our porch. We had a huge porch swing and really enjoyed it in the evenings and one morning as a storm was passing through. When it rained, the staff placed a big umbrella outside each room. Now that's service! The rooms are bright and clean. We will absolutely stay here again!
