I'm sorry to say that this place has gone from one of my favorites to a "no go". I've been stopping here for as long as I can remember and always looked forward to great food and good service... this evening, I recieved neither. It disapointing when one of your favorite places becomes "just another place". I'm my humble opinion, Lisa's was much better off when it was just a hole-in-the-wall mom and pop truck stop.. it had a charm that actually made me willing to wait patiently for one of the six tables and have an amazing meal. Now that they added on a considerable sized addition,it seems that the folks at Lisa's care more about being BIG than better. I refuse to be treated improperly by anyone who want me to spend my hard earned money in their establishment and it started when it tokl a full 15 minutes for the server to even acknowledge my buddy Richard and I. I ordered a chef salad and an enchilada plate and was told that I couldn't have my salad first and they in fact came out at the same time, on paper plates... with cheap plastic utensils. I can honestly say, If I wanted to eat on paper plates, I could've had a better meal by warming up something in the microwave in the truck. I hope the folks at Lisa's Truck Center create whatever it is they are trying to turn this once beloved stop in to, but they will have to do it without my patronage. I wish you the best. read more

Cleanliness and staff were all great, place is still under construction but coming along nicely. For breakfast I had a veggie wet burrito it was pretty good, you could tell there was really no seasoning on the potatoes and eggs but the sauce helped with that. My husband had just the egg white, bell pepper, hashbrown burrito he doctored it up with sea salt and pepper. Everything is made fresh and it was greatly appreciated and again the staff was great. Some of the workers that work on the building are a bit aggressive with the girls in the restaurant and like to talk smack about the customers in Spanish which makes folks feel uncomfortable but the owners would have to get that under control. Other then that the girls were very sweet and helpful which made the visit more pleasant. read more

Burritos seem like the way to go yo. French toast was, let's just say uninspired. The smothered burritos on a plate were especially bad ass. Basic, but plentiful. Service was awesome at the time. They seem clean and organized. The license plate esthetic kicks ass. Nice having refrigerated drinks option to go right there too. Compliments to the red chili sauce. Christmas mix was a good way to go as well. read more

I've never been to this Lisas truckstop before but I've seen it quite a bit and it looked good. I pulled up to the light truck pump and it would not except credit card payment so I went in and made payment at the desk. And very friendly young man explained the charges. I bought additive and fuel. There was a bald man talking on the phone in a loud and important manner Near the desk. He seem to be supervising. I came back in to let them know there were no window cleaning squeegees in service. The younger man apologized and said there was no help available. I looked right at the supervisor-looking fellow, Who showed no intention of solving any problems. I was supposed to pick up my fuel receipt at the pump which did not produce a receipt. I let them know it was out of paper and he was helping other customers. Still the bald man never blinked. I decided he was a lazy prick and I would never come back there for any services. They post home-cooked food and clean showers, there is a CB radio repair shop on the property and I'm not sure what else but you can buy really fancy chrome stuff for your big truck. Kudos to the young man behind the register, but old Baldy is the limiting factor for me. A service station should be that. read more

Horrible service or should I say non service. We walked in to the restaurant and no one even acknowledged us, the waitresses just stood there while doing nothing. Another lady went to check out a patron and out of the corner of her eye barely acknowledged us and said you can sit wherever you want. There was no vacant or clean tables then she said rudely what can I help you guys with when we told her there were no clean tables THEN she made a smart remark and ugly face and did nothing so we left. I called to speak to the manager who was more concerned with my language then her worthless and rude staff and unacceptable service. Highly recommend staying away from here especially if your Hispanic. read more

I arrived at the Comfort Inn just down the road late one night, and asked Juliet for a recommendation for dinner. I was exhausted, and was just looking for something fast. She suggested Lisa's, so I drove on down. I was a little apprehensive at first, not frequenting truck stops with great regularity. However, Lisa's was fine, and the menu was pretty decent. I went with a simple grilled cheese, which they actually did a fantastic job with! The bread was lightly seasoned with Italian spices, and the sandwich was grilled perfectly. I grabbed a bottle of milk and a bottle of water, and was out the door. Staff were friendly enough, and quick - though I wouldn't make a huge detour to go back, if you're in the area, you could do worse than Lisa's. read more

U would never go wrong. The waiter's here are so friendly and they have respect for the customers. The cooks are fast on making people's food they have gas and diesel here. They are right off the highway on I 40. There are lots of room to parking big truck's here. they have shower's that are very clean. It's on the east side of Moriarty new Mexico easy off and back on ramps there. Please don't miss it trust me u wont regret it. read more

This place is decent. For a small truck stop it was perfect for us, quiet, clean, great food.....I cannot complain...petro/iron skillet is a shit hole and I'm happy to eat anywhere that is decent. It's an independent business that needs the communities support. We like to support smaller places, and this had everything we needed. And good food. Excellent stop on Route 66, they even have really cool t shirts. And some of the truckers that parked there had the coolest old school semi trucks. The staff was friendly, Josephine, Rae, and Lucas were great people. Some people could use a little more personality there, but all in all, everyone was nice. read more

This review is for the restaurant, not the truck stop gas station. I must say this place surprises, in a good way, being as you're not expecting a cool lil Southwestern diner literally in the middle of a convenient store! The food is great and they'll even take special orders (we wanted veggie enchiladas which they were willing to whip up for us) and the prices are superb. The service is friendly and the décor makes you smile. One of the best things is that they're open till 10pm. Overall if you can get over the fact that you're having dinner (or breakfast, or lunch) in the middle of a gas station (but doesn't necessarily feel that way), then go check out Lisa's! I'd say I'm a fan --- and I'm especially wanting to try breakfast there. :) read more

This is what a truck stop should be like, and its definitely one of my favorites anywhere. A dozen pumps, lots of parking, clean showers, a small diner, and a friendly staff. I've not had my truck serviced there, but the fact that they have a shop is great. Boycott the TA; buy your fuel at Lisa's! read more

Very disappointed with a simple breakfast meal. Wait staff barely came over to my table. I ordered a sausage, ham, pepper, and cheddar cheese omlet it was good but why was there bacon in it? I ordered hashbrowns crispy they were barely warmed. Then to top it off my rye toast was moldy. When I went to pay for the meal the cashier said sorry. Told her I did not need a sorry I wanted good food and should get a reduced bill. She told me I did not need to be rude i took off the price of your coffee. A very charming small town mom & pop truck stop. Their food is insane!! Just be sure to call it in or sit in and order INSTEAD of ordering online, don't bother with that, IMO. I've gotten more orders fumbled that way, and the little window where you can add a special note or request, virtually every time has gotten IGNORED. Kinda wish their cafe was 24 hours. Get yourself some of the best chile rellenos east of Santa Fe WOW! Their fajitas kick ass, too! read more

this place just got remodeled, very poor craftsmanship, we thought it might be good and we would try it out, when we walked in we got a strong smell of pinesol mixed with a sewer smell. when we sat down the table was dirty. they brought out plastic silverware and a paper cups and then served our food on paper plates! I was in shock!!! I ordered the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs over medium, two bacon and two sausage links "I thought"....... I got 1 burnt sausage patty and 3 bacon strips that were like rubber, 2 eggs overcooked soo bad the yolk was like a hard boiled egg! and it took at least a half hour to get our food .....there was only about five people inside.. I didnt get my toast and the waitress said she would be rite back with it....never brought it, never the less, I had about 2 bites and the rest I wouldnt feed to my dogs!!!!! or even my chickens!! when she asked if I wanted a to go box I said no thanks! thumbs down for this place,DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE, SAD TO SAY BUT TACO BELL HAS BETTER SERVICE AND FOOD, I hope the owner reads this and makes changes to management and gets a cook that knows how to cook, instead of just making the food how he or she wants, why ask how i want my eggs if your gonna serve them how you want... there was three of us, all eggs were wrong wrong wrong. this place is a joke! may as well close the doors now and stop wasting your money. read more

Food was gross ordered steak and eggs . Eggs were way over cooked from what I ordered and they put a lot o beef so it looks like a lot of food and the red chili tasted like just a lot of spices no flavor at all .$10.00 is a lot just for eggs that weren't even cooked like I asked . For the restaurant alone ... we had dinner here using a coupon, half off the second dinner. My wife had fish and chips for $7.50 while I had chicken strips for $5.50. This is a small cafe located in the back of the truck stop building behind the cash register with the snacks, drinks and trucker supplies on the other side of the register. The service was great and friendly, lots of smiles from the waitress and this must be a tough place to work. The prices seemed very reasonable for all meals (they serve breakfast through dinner until 10 pm). The food was not special unless you like lots of quantity. I saw many meals leaving the kitchen piled high with gravy (potatoes or chicken fried steak under the gravy). I'd love to try breakfast here, I'll bet it's great. Anyway, my wife says she would not eat here again but I would eat here again because I think a different menu choice might be better than what we chose. This was inexpensive food with good service, just what a truck stop should be. read more

This is the real deal, and worth jumping off I-40. Sausage and eggs breakfast was top-quality US Diner. Fajita dinner was fresh and terrific. Loved the local atmosphere and friendly staff. NOT like eating in a 7-11. Like eating in someone's home. NOTHING chain about this place. But if your a franchise fan-- Applebys, Chili's, Zaxby's. Keep on going. read more

The service there is terrible. I walk in and waited 10 minutes before the waitress even looked in my direction. They weren't that busy. Then after my food was finally cooked, it sat at the window while the waitress chatted with some friends. Meanwhile, small children ( between the ages of about 2 and 7) kept running in and out of the kitchen to hang out with grandma. I sat there for 45 minutes to get a cold burger that was missing the green chili and cheese and fries that were soggy while listening to the waitress complain how someone was mean and she didn't like it.
