just stopped here, first time. Out of many years of gas station and truck stop stops, this visit stands out as outstandingly bad on two fronts: 1) major chaotic pile-up of vehicles at the pumps. rolling in and backing in from all directions, major confusion. seems they really need to fix the layout or create signage to direct people. 2) really bad quality / old / broken loudspeaker above pumps, and ceiling speakers inside, blasting terrible crotch-rock. Super kind staff, but the creature to reserve a shower on app didn't work and had difficulty with washer and dryers. Machine worked but no water came out it just moved. The kind helpful staff made up for it though. I got a shower, washed launders albiet with lil water. read more

If you are on that long stretch of I40 going to Texas or leaving Texas this is a great stop. Clean bathrooms, well stocked convenience store, a subway that makes excellent sandwiches and easy access gas. It's my go to for gas when it's football season at Moriarty HS. We had been reading reviews about truck stops in preparation for our trip and Pilot and Flying J had the best reviews every time. Talks about Italian marble and fine linens were not strange when the reviews about Pilot and Flying J came up. The expectations were high to say the least. I have been telling my wife how she was going to love to take a shower at a truck stop and this and that. It took three days for us to find a pilot or flying j with showers and during that time we visited "little America travel center" and "TA travel stops" and those were quite nice so the expectations and the anticipation were only getting higher and higher for Pilot of Flying J. If those other two were so good and i had not seen any glowing reviews about them, how amazing was Pilot going to be then?! Well, not that awesome. It was not bad but again the expectations were pretty high. The other travel stops had been really good and we were expecting more or even the same but I think of the three, Pilot is in the last place so far. We will continue to check out other Pilot and Flying J stops as we know 1 stop does not represent the brand. Overall, I would visit again if I needed to. The place appeared to be clean. The towels looked a little old and could be refreshed. The space was the smallest of the three travel stops we have visited. The water temperature was warm at best. The shower head was wobbly and leaked around the connection and had a big build up of lime. read more

I always try to stop at a Pilot or Loves while on my Anual Cross Country Road Trips. This one was no exception. I seem to get better mileage from Pilot than say Conoco or Casey. My ONE disappointment was that they no longer carry those covers for the 3x5 notebooks mine wore out after years of service. If they didn't sell the notebooks I'd understand. Looks like I'll have to break down and buy one online. BUT that isn't me... I like to see and touch something before I buy. I'd recommend this location when you need a fillup. read more

Might arguably be one of the top worst Pilots I've been to. I'm a driver, been to a few. The line was out to the street for the fuel island because the fuel island 30 breakers were so bad and Pilot doesn't do anything about it. It's under a remodel so I can understand your shower situation, but some of the rudest employees. I walk in and you do the QwickTrip/Loves "WELCOME TO PILOT!!!!" Like a welcoming into hell. 2, not 1, 2 employees brushed me, I said excuse me like in a polite "my bad" kind of thing with zero response back. After using the restroom, after washing my hands, your cleaning person is literally spraying down the paper towels with cleaning solution. No idea what that was all about. Took it as him being an a-- you know what. Pilot/J if you're reading this, you have one heck of poop show in Moriarty NM. I mean it is epic crap compared to almost every other one of your locations. Drivers holding up the fuel island I get, but when the line gets like it did, you gotta do something. Then after the ridiculous wait, to just get straight up hated on in the store by your employees. Subway was great the lady and gentleman working there on 9/18/2019 @ around noon were great folks. The truck parking is ok but it close to residential area there are signs that say no idle please but truckers still do it. I just have on problem and it the cleaning of their showers I was in shower to and it has hot water and smelt good but it wasn't clean someone just changed towels out, and left white powder in the shower, it's probably baby powder but the shower should be clean isn't that what the intercom say Clean Hot shower well bad rating from maybe this will get to management and I forgot about someone crotch hairs or something in the shower I notice after I turn the water on probably from the drain but sorry laziness in people. read more

My husband and I are driving cross country from N.C. to AZ. When ever we do road trips like this, I always like to stop at either pilots, loves or flying j. They are never over crowded and it's always easy to drive in and out. This location was pretty clean! We made a quick restroom stop and decided to fill up the car as well. The bathrooms were extremely neat! I love that. I hate going into any restroom where it's filthy and stinks. This place did a great job at making sure everything was neat, clean and smelling good. This Pilot had a lot of choices when it came to snacks, drinks, food and merchandise. It's always great to have plenty of choices. Check out was simple and quick. The cashier was super friendly. Worst truck stop I have ever been to. When paying at the pump they limit the purchase to $150 and they make even that super complicated. Then the pump does not print the receipt that they are legally required to give, you have to find a cashier. Guess what, there is none. You have to walk at a building far away, so they can swipe your card which gives them a better rate with their bank, typically 0.75% instead of maybe 1.05%. So they sell out their customer to make a few cents!!! No wonder all pumps were full, everyone was hiking to this outpost to get their receipts! Never forgive, never forget! read more

I hope the management team or area manager sees this review. This location is disgusting! Coffee machines are corroded, the counters are all dirty, the floor is cluttered with trash and debris under the counters where the coffee machines are, and no organization at all. The sink in the coffee station is corpses from lack of proper cleaning, and the men's restroom was by far the worst I have seen so far on I-40. The two stalls I looked in had stains on the toilet seat, trash and debris all around the toilet, and the floor and mirrors and sinks are gross and dirty! read more

Yep, this is a truck stop for sure! It really isn't a fun place to hang out, but it is great for a quick potty break, fill up on gas, or grab some snacks for the road. If you want more than just snack food, there is also a Subway here. On the plus side, the bathrooms were clean and well taken care of, so yay! They had showers there too for hard core travelers. There really isn't much more to say about this place. I would use the restroom again though, if I needed too! read more

Every time I stop here about once a week the coffee bar is always dirty with barely any stock of cups the sugar and creamer area is dirty and empty the bathrooms were clean but the food and pizza area had old food slopped all around the area and the clerks are standing there laughing cursing not paying attention the the customers if you want gas only stop here other then that avoid this place read more

Very sad. These people are so stupid. The syrup is out on all of the iced tea dispensers. They said that no one I the store knows how to change them. Really? It is one plug that pops on and off. Also, today was the last day of a but one get one free Halloween candy promotion. There are signs all over the store. The employees did not know anything about it and would not give me the discount. Stopped in for a fill-up and bathroom break on a trip from TX to CA. It's a truck stop folks. The bathrooms were clean. The one down side was that the lines to check out were pretty slow. Was there at 11 am on a Saturday so that might have something to do with it. The gas was the cheapest in a 10 mile radius. read more

Subway is always out of stuff and the staff in the truck stop refuse to make a pizza that you want. Add that to the bullies on 18 wheels that run the stop signs coming off the interstate and the ones by the travel center and I wish the place would just go away. read more

It's a Pilot travel center, they have most everything, this one me have the upgraded showers and bathrooms as most do now, staff is friendly, fresh coffee, has both fuel for truckers and gasoline for cars, what more can I say. read more
