I'm happy to have this little store in Cedar Crest. It's the perfect stop on the way back from Albuquerque if you don't want to deal with a large store or get off somewhere far from the freeway. They offer a nice produce and meat section and a nice selection of natural like products for the size of store that it is. They even have a decent selection of liquor, beer, and wine. I was also surprised by their spice and seasoning selection - large sizes and neat selection for a great price. They even carry pet needs there! Great store! Great service there always! Who the heck writes a review on Yelp about a grocery store? This guy! No one appreciates a grocery store as much as I do! Start your engines! Get ready because your getting the full scoop. I usually don't find myself on this neck of the woods unless I'm headed to the crest or headed out of town. Triangle Grocery is the one stop shop if your in the east mountains. From the aisle to the front check outs, service is similar to what you expect from a Whole Foods. These guys care about what they do and it shows on the shelves. They are very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Any concerns they'll be happy to address. The aisles are nice and clean. I hardly found any items out of place. They do a great job keeping the store nice and clean. It's about the size of your typical Whole Foods and smells like one too! The checkout staff is very polite and professional. If I didn't live so far from this place I probably would've been shopping here while back. The prices are fair, and the quality of the stuff they sell is pretty decent. The produce is similar to Whole Foods but of course it's no Whole Foods. If you're in the East Mountains it's a great place to do all your grocery shopping without having to drive into the city. read more

I was disappointed as a local customer. The check out guy overcharged me and during this correction, proceeded to accidentally add an item from the customer behind me to my order. I arrived home to find a big jar of mayonnaise which I recognized from the customer behind me and called immediately. The manager said to bring in and I would be reimbursed. Due to work schedule, I could only stop by a week later. The management refused to reimburse me. I find this sad customer service considering the amount of run around this cost me. This will cost them probably hundreds of dollars from this loyal customer and this negative review...plus, they took my Mayonnaise ....don't shop here if you can avoid it! read more

Sorry Triangle Grocery, but we have to break up. I regret we have to end things this way. Its not me its YOU. Today you charged me $11.99 (plus tax) for the most desiccated, inedible and not to mention improperly trussed roasted chicken I have ever seen. In the past I have turned a blind eye to your deceptions. I looked the other way when you double charged me for local salsas, triple charged for basic rice and eggs. I've been living in the East Mtns for 24 years and I used to shop at the Triangle. For a small store, they actually have a pretty good selection of items and they have friendly staff. The prices, however, have gotten too high for me on several items I used to frequently purchase. Case in point, I recently purchased Campbell's tomato soup at the Triangle which was marked at $2.39/can. I can get twelve (12) cans at Sam's Club for $11.91 which turn out to be $0.99/can. You are paying for the convenience but I rarely shop here now for groceries and plan ahead when I travel to either Albuquerque or Santa Fe. read more

I had the worst experience here with a creepy guy. he had long dirty hair with a hat on and he STUNK! the smell was so bad I kept leaving the aisle he was on but he kept moving to the same aisle. I wanted to throw up. when I asked a different employee who he was they said he was the manager!!!!! read more

So very disappointing. I was so happy when we moved here in February to have a locally owned grocery store to support but sins ownership changed, everything has gone down hill. Almost empty shelves, never have what I need and what's there is either expired or soon to expire. Unfortunately, I'll have to do my shopping in albuquerque before coming home. The prices for produce were expensive, good bakery selection. I stopped for ice on my way through, and the service was really friendly. I don't know what shopping options are around, but the price point was high for a lot of things I saw. They did have a great selection of specialty food. read more

Very clean grocery store. Friendly checkers and Mary in the deli was conversational while my daughter decided what she wanted to purchase. Also good breakfast burritos. My in-laws shop here weekly, so we checked it out when we visited. Also it's in Better Call Saul so that's a plus read more

Updated: Added another star. The store is what you'd expect for where and what it is. It's more expensive and has a growing selection (updated review) of organic and healthy selections, but if you don't want to drive to the nearest store, you get what you get. (Also updated) They have an excellent beer wine and liquor selection, and the green Chile enchiladas at the deli are surprisingly awesome - just call in advance since they don't always have them. Staff is friendly and it's convenient to Tijeras, Cedar Crest, San Antonito, Paako and nearby areas. read more

Nice store, convenient to the east mountain communities. Good wine and beer selection, and kids get free cookies. Most staff members are nice but some are a little rough on the edges. Has been two times I have purchased products that were expired, they happily refunded the purchase but this seems to be a trend. All in all, a great store for the location. read more

Used to stop here all the time for their great deli sandwiches before hiking. Then, they raise their prices by 40% in line with the rest of their already high prices in the store, so I stopped going. Good selection, but not that far from town, so worth the trip over to sprouts. read more

If you're headed to for a day in the upper Sandia Mountains, whether to hike or ski, it's great to get an early start and grab breakfast or just coffee before leaving civilization. This is my preferred early morning stop when I'm headed that way. Considering where it's located and the market it serves, it's pretty darn good. Well stocked, clean and friendly neighborhood grocery store. Triangle grocery is locally owned and the employees are all very helpful. My favorite part of triangle grocery is their willingness to order what you would like and stock what their customers request. Also, the bakery is great. We've ordered cakes that were beautiful and the homemade soup is AWESOME. read more

Great Meat Dept, very friendly Butchers will custom cut anything you want, Beef, Pork, Chicken all good. Excellent Liquor Dept, excellent selection of beer, wine spirits. Brian is very knowledgeable. Produce Dept has a reasonable selection. Convenient size, [and location if live on the Eat Mountain] yet has pretty much everything you need, including specialty items along with the basics.. I no longer go to ABQ to a chain grocery store, instead I do my daily/weekly shopping at Triangle. I still however visit Costco, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Whole Foods once a month or so for variety. I believe in supporting local business and Triangle has earned my business thru great service, good selection and reasonable pricing for a single location store. read more

Something has changed, and not for the good. We've been customers for over 5 years and try to support our local stores. We loved the people, the huge wine/beer section and great meats for grilling. But 3 for 3 on our last visits of being treated as if we're intruding, "what do you want!?" Ordered rudely to the checkout aisle that they want us to use, often the cigarette counter, where we are treated just as rudely by sullen cashiers. All done.... read more

This store is VERY expensive and I would question the freshness of anything in it. Their prices are so high that you would be better off shopping at Sam's Club in bulk because Triangle has bulk pricing on all of their products. It's a great store to pick up milk, eggs or whatever you "run out of," but it isn't a store to do a complete grocery shop. They do have sales which is good but it only applies to something that might apply to you at the time. I went in the other day and they had expired sausage by two days and had only reduced it by a dollar. It is such a shame to see food rot on their shelves. $4.99 for a loaf of bread? $3.50 for a small package of hamburger buns? Come on! Are you serious!? The store is always empty of customers. I know it's a service to have them in the East Mountains in order to avoid a trip to Edgewood or Albuquerque, but they need to come down on their prices. When you can shop in bulk at Sam's Club and get more for your money for the same prices that Triangle charges, then somebody isn't being honest and it's certainly not Sam's Club. The money you spend on gas going somewhere else will certainly pay for itself. I seriously don't know how they justify their prices. Shameful. read more
