Mixed experience: skilled brows, awkward process…read more I read a lot of reviews before trying a new place, and this one had a very consistent theme: great results, not-so-great hospitality, and a bit of a strange vibe. I figured I was just going in for an eyebrow cleanup, so I could live with that. The location is in a street-mall style complex with a bunch of beauty suites. Parking is super easy, which I appreciated. The area itself isn't particularly well kept and feels more open, almost like a market-style setup--but that was pretty much what I expected based on the reviews. Before heading over, I called to ask about availability since I'm used to appointment-only systems (especially after living in CA and NYC). The phone interaction was... odd. I was asked how far away I was, told to call when I arrived, then to text my name. It worked, but it felt a little disorganized. For clarity: this is appointment-only, even if that's not super obvious online--definitely book ahead. Once inside, things moved very fast. I was immediately told to get in the chair, but there wasn't much interest in discussing brow shape or goals. I tried to show reference photos (of my own brows from before), but they were brushed off with "it's different for everyone" and "I know what I'm doing." No photos were really looked at. The service itself was quick, but very curt. No warmth, no consultation, very "next step, next step." I didn't love the initial result and asked for revisions. I had to be extremely specific and insist on showing my reference before continuing. By that point, some of the damage was already done, but the final result ended up being okay. The price was $15, which felt reasonable and comparable to what I've paid elsewhere. I do think she's skilled, and she even mentioned that next time would be much better--which I believe. It feels like she knows what she's doing, but doesn't enjoy listening or collaborating, especially with new clients. Bottom line: Good technical skill, fast service, very rough around the edges. If you're confident, very specific, and already know her style, you'll probably be happy. As a first-time client, though, it's a challenging experience. Go in knowing exactly what you want--and be prepared to speak up.

She will honor the advertised Groupon price. Groupon takes almost ALL of the amount with very little going to the actual merchant that performs all of the hard work. So I had just had a chemical peel on my face the day of the appointment, that left me w VERY orange and irritated skin. Brooke was very thorough and did not want to irritate my already inflamed and raw skin, so she called a medical expert for advice. She was concerned I'd be upset to reschedule, but I was very appreciative that she took all the precautions to ensure I'd receive the best outcome. I mean, she could've just performed the service, taken my money, and not have cared for any adverse reactions nor my results. Brooke is a such a compassionate professional. When I returned for the lip blushing treatment, she considerately offered me a drink, placed a warm, weighted blanket over me, and played calming music in the background. She offered me an array of colors to choose from and even helped me make a decision for the perfect shade for my complexion. Brooke constantly checked to ensure if I was comfortable and paid great detail to my lips throughout the procedure. Throughout the process, she carefully explained each step and also advised of what I could expect. She truly is a gifted artist! Her touch is soft, gentle (feather like strokes), yet precise. At the end, my lips were swollen, yes, but the shade was so pretty! It did take almost ten days for my lips to fully recover. Before, my lips were colorless and dark. Now, most days, I don't even wear makeup because my lips are a pop of soft pink, which is all the color I need. She recommended that I return in a few weeks for the touch up because lip blushing does take a couple of treatments to reach the desired color. I am fortunate to have had discovered Brooke and would highly recommend her for any semi-permanent color you're applying to your face, especially since the results are on your face for the next couple of years. Brooke is very skilled and precise. I appreciate how she carefully listened to what my expectations were and how she achieved those results. This lack of result was acknowledged in person afterward, and a complimentary redo was offered due to the outcome. Following this, it became clear that additional guidance was needed, including reaching out to a mentor and sourcing new pigments specifically for highly melanated skin, which took several weeks. Over time, expectations and terms shifted, including last-minute attempts to introduce additional fees for what had already been discussed as a redo due to no outcome from the original service. If you are a highly melanated woman considering lip blushing, I strongly recommend confirming documented experience and results with pigment selection and blending for darker skin tones, and getting all policies in writing before booking.
