I locked in my surgery. Yes everything was going good. Surgery went well. Or so I thought. The madness started soon after. To put in simple terms. I had an arm lift, an upper back lift and a crescent thigh lift. This crescent thigh lift is where the incision is in the groin and not down the leg. I went back for 2 postop . Still so sore and swollen. I flew home the day of 2nd postop. That day I gave the staff a form from my job for the doctor to sign. FMLA do not cover that type of surgery. I guess only if it was extreme weight loss. They gave me a letter stating they don't outside forms. They said give it to my employer and if they have questions to call them. News flash. It was not accepted by my employer. I work with the state. They refused to let me back on schedule with the letter. I called and begged the doctor's staff to sign the form with no luck. The staff told me they won't be able to respond to me till Monday. This was on a Friday. Now mind you. Before I paid for the surgery. They would email me even on a Saturday. Anyways I got my own doctor to get me back to work. I had a 3rd virtual post op when I came home. Now the swelling was down . I pointed that out to Dr Ziyad . He mentioned we will eventually talk about a revision for my thighs. I was told to send my 1 month updated photos. The incisions on my thighs are so uneven. You can clearly see it over my panty line. The incision my arm is also uneven. I am so upset and frustrated. After being $surgery + airfare + recovery home in a minus. I've sent the photos since last week. Sent another email on Monday. Asking them how would we proceed to have a revision, I have been calling. No response either way. I am so disappointed in Dr Ziyad and Sunset plastic surgery. They give you your chart to sign paper work, after you fill that out you go to the back and get test done for drug and pregnancy. The girls in the we're so sweet and kind very helpful. Took me back into the front one of the girls came to me and said your going to need to pay for cell saver. I felt bullied she kept saying anesthesiologist isn't going to do your surgery with 11.6, that was confusing because I thought the doctor made the decisions. So I told her my doctor said that all of it was good and that I did not need that it was my choice my decision if I wanted to have it or not, she keep pushing. I told her we're going to wait till the blood work comes back my surgeon specifically said I didn't need it. They did another CDC to make sure that I absolutely don't need it the numbers were above 12.6. That day I got a text that my surgery is scheduled @ 445p. So I went to my recovery house, next day there were 2 girls that had surgery before me. One girl had surgery at 11a she went in and didn't get seen until 2p, the other went in and didn't have surgery til after 4p when I was supposed to be getting prepped. I got a text just before I was going to leave for my surgery that I'm scheduled at 1pm tomorrow for post-op. I called knowing that the doctor was running late to make sure that my surgery was still on, when I spoke to the lady she told me my surgery was canceled and that I am now scheduled for tomorrow at 1p, I said I am very upset as I have waited all day to eat now its 3p and I have to wait another day till surgery, pushing back my recovery time massages that I already had scheduled. I said to her you're confirming that my appointment today is canceled and now I am scheduled tomorrow correct she said yes and apologize for all the inconvenience. I get a call from the office at 545p asking where am I for my surgery, as you can imagine I was very upset because I didn't need to eat at 3p I could have waited and had the surgery now I have to wait for the next day to have surgery. When they reviewed what happened I spoke with an AI not an actual person. The next day I went in at 9a because I had not received a time for my surgery but I was told by an actual staff member, I made sure to ask are you a real person am I coming in for surgery tomorrow and she said yes. I get there I get signed in and then one of the girls takes me to a room and she says I'm going to be real frank with you, when I spoke with you yesterday I had a lot of things going on and confused you with another patient your surgery is actually on Thursday. At this point I'm livid because now I'm losing another day for recovery and massages and everything else I had paid for, mind you I'm supposed to be flying home on Saturday not enough time to feel safe or recovered after a surgery. I said this will be the last time I get pushed back. Thursday comes around I get a time for surgery at 430am, I get there we do another urine test, Dr Simmons comes in he states what surgery I'm getting starts to mark me up, then I sat there till 9a when Dr Simmons walks in and says he cannot do my surgery coordinator is going to come in to talk to me. At this point I am highly upset and confused and I'm not going to wait another day to have surgery. The lovely lady that did the urine test and blood draw came in she could see how upset I was as I had been there since early this morning and she asked me if another doctor was available would I be willing to see them I said of course I really need to have surgery today or I need to get my money back. They brought in Dr Sophie Lessard. She deserves a separate review for her as she deserved a 5 I had the best experience with Dr Sophie Lessard I'm glad she was kind enough and did my surgery, I was added on to her last minute, already marked up, she entered the room with confidence a beautiful smile very easy to talk to as if I picked her from the beginning. She made me feel so comfortable I was in good hands. Dr. Sophie thank you for being empathetic to my needs, respectful, kind and understanding in this whole situation.

I came here and saw all the bad reviews, and I still went with my intuition and decided to go with this clinic anyway. I did not pay ahead of time. I paid the full balance when I got there in person at the consultation. (Not including the 250 fee, i paid that ahead of time) They definitely communicate extensively weeks before your surgery (even months). Letting you know Exactly what you need. So I came fully prepared with medical clearance and all labs required. So that was a breeze. I met Dr. Pacheco, the day of my surgery, early in the morning and we had at least an hour conversation about the ins and outs and everything that I wanted to know she answered everything extensively. Even providing me with links of stuff to purchase for recovery& her email address so i can contact her directly. I got lipo and a tummy tuck. She made me feel extremely comfortable and shes very warm hearted. She took care of me as if I was her own daughter. Going Into surgery and coming out. I Also paid extra to get the shot directly into the abdomen. That lasts for 72 hours to help with pain. In the recovery floor of the clinic, I also paid to get a vitamin/hydration IV. Which I feel also helped a lot in my recovery. They did not try to rush me off of the recovery floor I was there for a couple of hours at least before my hired aftercare nurse came to pick me up. The company i chose was 'premier private care services' & i got Jazmine who was an absolute angel. I Did not go with the recovery house that they suggested called "mels recovery house" because the woman that runs the house could not answer the questions properly and I did not feel comfortable. Plus you cant find anything about them online.. It seems like that recovery house isn't up to par, so I decided to go with my own company that I did My own research on. I stayed in Miami for 11 days, and I saw Dr. Pacheco, for follow-ups Twice a week. Lisbeht her nurse is absolutely amazing as well. I had exactly 4 follow-up visits with Dr. Pacheco and her nurse Lisbeht and they took exceptional care of me. Giving me all the info i needed and also changing my dressings and the tape on my incision so I didn't have to. Overall i had a 5 star experience. Would definitely recommend Dr Pacheco all day. And I have to 2 of my close friends and family. & they are even considering getting work done here. Pacheco takes pride in her work. & as long as you listen to the instructions given you should have no problems recovering.
