Later, they called claiming he owed an additional $700 because insurance didn't cover the "remaining" amount. After reading similar complaints in their reviews, we declined to pay this surprise bill. It appears this office has a pattern of billing insurance for treatments they consider "necessary" but that insurance companies reject as unnecessary. We switched dentists after this experience. Unfortunately, my husband's crown broke within just 4 years - much sooner than expected for quality dental work. Based on my research, premature crown failure typically happens due to poor materials or improper installation, not normal wear (and I can confirm there was no physical impact nor teeth grinding involved). I experienced billing issues, poor customer service from Kayla, and after losing my job and falling behind on payments, I was sent a letter dismissing me as a patient with only 30 days to find a new dentist. As a long-term patient, I expected compassion and a conversation--not to be discarded. The way I was treated felt cold, dismissive, and completely inconsistent with the care we received at the Fremont office. Then they quoted $1,000 out of pocket for the deep cleaning -- stacked with optional add-on charges (antibacterial irrigation, bacterial decontamination) that insurance flat-out doesn't cover. My husband had the same deep cleaning procedure done at this same office 7 months ago for a fraction of the price -- $198. I wrote to them asking for a revised quote without the optional procedures and never got a response. On top of that, no matter how early you check in, you're always waiting at least 30 minutes past your appointment time. Front desk staff are not pleasant to deal with either, so don't expect any warmth or willingness to help if you have questions about your bill. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion elsewhere before you let this office anywhere near your mouth.
