Li's Wok has been a part of our 'family' for years! Their food is delicious... the owner, Li, is a part of our community and supports the kids! I see people here made complaints about the woman who used to be taking the orders, but she was always wonderful! She cared and just wanted to do her job and get the orders correct. The new lady is lovely too. Sad to say I am going to be moving out of the area, and will miss this place among a few others. I just call, and if I forget to order something, they remind me- no chicken Fried rice tonight? And sure enough, I'd forgotten, they remembered! Worst Customer Service! I'm new to this area and called them for delivery. I just googled nearest Chinese delivery and got their information. I ask politely ask the lady if they deliver, she answered "yes what's your address?," I gave her my complete address and ask "what's for lunch special?" She answered me in rude manner "no lunch special!" I tried to understand her cause I know there is a language barrier and I understand Chinese culture since I studied in a Chinese school for 13 long years. I don't know what happened to the nice friendly woman that used to answer the phone. The two new ones are very rude and nasty. I've been ordering here for 15 years and have never had a problem. Now they are telling me that they can't make the orders for me the same way that they have been forever. I guess it's time to find a new place. I used to come here because it was close by and the only Chinese food place I knew around me, but looks like I'll have to find another place because the lady in the front became RUDE when she asked me if I wanted to stay or to go. When I responded with to go then she replies back with "you say to go but then you stay" with an attitude. I've never asked for "to go" then stayed... I either order by calling and have it delivered to my house or really having it TO GO. Why would You speak to a PAYING CUSTOMER like that? Now they've lost a customer and currently has a bad review. I've been eating at this restaurant for years and never had a problem with them. The food never was the best Chinese food that I've ever had, but it was quite fine for a Friday night, when i didn't feel like cooking. However, over the past couple of years, the food just wasn't the same. The quality began to decrease. It was a lot more greasy and just inedible. Something that I found to be strange was that the food took less and less time to cook. They would deliver the food 3 minutes after I ordered it. A couple weeks back was when i cut my ties to this restaurant. I ordered my usual beef with broccoli. When I got home and opened it, i noticed two medium sized Roaches in the food. I felt so damn disgusted beyond belief. I immediately went back to the place to complain but they wouldn't do anything about it. It was as if they were happy to take my money for years and years and years, but didn't give two shits about the infestation crawling around in my food. Never eating there again! read more

Food is overpriced they wanted to charge me $11.50 for sesame chicken, no combo. Instead I order something cheaper, we paid upfront and when the food was ready the man couldn't remember that we had already paid him. if i could give no stars i would, let's start off with the fortune cookie that looked like it was bit by a rat. she said when we pull them apart that's how it gets. so why was half the fortune cookie gone i don't know. i was dissatisfied with my food so i asked to bring it back so she hung up on me. i went to the store she said give me back my 3 dollars for the spring roll you are i said fine, so she refunds the money and then tries to charge me the 3 dollars back when i had the cash to give her. i thought that was deceitful. she ended by calling me black bitch and never to come back again. safe to say my experience didn't go well. read more

This restaurant is ok. It is sometimes great but sometimes just ok. We usually order chicken with broccoli. It is pretty good, but it is not the best. The dumplings are excellent. Very good Chinese good!!! I come here every chance I get and im from Brooklyn. The rice is that real authentic way of making Chinese rice..that brown colored fresh egg rice. The ribs are so good and the wings are even better. Nice size chicken wings with a great taste fried just right. I don't think I have had anything here that I didn't like. They also have a loyalty program..every time you go, you get stamped and you can get up to 8.00 off a future order. The sauces are self serve so make sure you grab what you want. They are friendly and speak English well here. Overall I would love for them to be an eat in restaurant but I was shocked at how good their food was for such a small take out place. 5 stars all the way!! read more

after reading the positive online reviews we ordered from li's. we ordered a number of dishes for six of us. shortly after eating we were all sick and it continued into the night. we are in the process of contacting the health dept. i think long island restaurants should have the same letter grading system nyc has. that way customers know what they're in for before they order. i would highly recommened staying away from this place, too many other choices for chinese. read more
