It is a a very cozy step above a run-of-the-mill strip mall takeout place. The food was incredible- the vegetables were soft but still had bite and the meat was seared to a beautiful color while still tender. I stumbled on this restaurant with my mom when we were starving and looking for something casual. Overall, really good experience that I would definitely come back to try more things. We started with the steamed pork dumplings. The pork filling was VERY good and well seasoned. The noodle wrapper was a bit more Al dente than I like on a dumpling, but overall would get them again. We got the lettuce wraps as well which were PACKED with filling, would like a bit more lettuce to finish them all. They were delicious and fresh tasting. My mom got the sesame chicken with fried rice. Very good, fried rice was light and crispy bits like I love. I got the curry udon, which was my least favorite. I love udon and curry, but this was just a bit off for me, I would not get that again. Will definitely be returning to try out some other entrees! Damn tasty Dan Dan noodles! Perfectly spiced and tasty. Current pricing doesn't match any of the pics on Yelp, but I get it that food costs have risen and it is what it is. I just started working in the area and I have found some decent bites, but this may be one of my favorites for a quick to go lunch so far. I was expecting an amazing deal at about $8.95 a plate like most of the menu pics said, but it was something more like $12.50 out the door. Not a "cheap lunch", but about what I should expect for this side of town. That said, these were some of the better Asian noodles I've had in Charlotte. It had a bite, one that I know my spice loving friends would like to try, who knows, they may even ask for extra spicy. I can't wait to take some other people there though, so I can try some bites of their food too. Came here with my dad as he's been here before but ordered dishes family style. This time we tried the noodles I got the wonton noodle soup and it was okay the wontons were pretty good but nothing special there was shrimp and pork in them (yum) the flavor was good, but the noodles were okay mine were said to be egg noodles but the texture was okay i personally wasn't a fan as there was no chew and the noodle nearly broke once it hit my mouth. My dad got the wheat noodles which had a bit more chew in them, but overall both of our noodles were a bit bland, but I can't say i didn't enjoy it because it felt like very healthy as both our broths were clear and light and i feel refreshed after eating it. The portion size was good as I felt super full and had like half a bowl of noodles left, but the noodle to soup and everything else ration was not the best. The ambiance was nice as it felt super clean and calm and a good place to eat for sure with a nice boba shop right next to it for drinks after . My dad hyped the dishes up so maybe that might be the move for next time or the like ramen i see from the other reviews. The people here are friendly and the service is great. The restaurant is small, but quaint. It's usually not very busy, so there is hardly ever a wait. I have also ordered take-out and it is done quickly and comes out fresh. I have ordered a lot of items on the menu to try. My favorite items are the scallion pancake, steamed dumplings, and the custard buns. The scallion pancake has tons of delicious layers and I always order hoisin sauce vs the sauce that it comes with because I prefer a sweeter taste rather than salty. Make sure you always save room for the buns. They are out of this world, especially when hot.
