We are so pleased with Luis and his team! They came out in July during the hottest days of the summer and got the job done! Luis was very understanding & was able to work with us in terms of our budget. He also took the time to answer many of our additional questions & concerns. Luis & the Lira Concrete team were very knowledgeable, very polite, always arrived early, & have a great work ethic. In addition, Luis & Lira Construction did not overcharge for our design in comparison to a few of the contractors we spoke with at the time in regard to diamond joints, rebar, & etc. Another positive thing we wanted to highlight is that Luis is licensed, bonded, & insured. He was very transparent throughout the whole process. We are thankful & have received many compliments from friends & family regarding the concrete work in our backyard. Friendly Suggestions: (Not professional advice please differ to a concrete contractor for further suggestions & advice) * Research & then discuss with your contractor which PSI & thickness of concrete would be the best fit for your home or business. * Talk about the number of recommended breaks in terms of the concrete * Research & discuss the type of finishes you would like for the concrete work with your contractor, in addition to any areas of the concrete where you & /or your family are planning on having a gazebo or patio cover on the concrete. *Map out your landscape & if feasible hire a landscaping team /contractor to work along side your concrete contractor * If you're wanting to put in a fire pit and or a grill discuss the gas line in regards to your concrete work (based on the work & design may need to consult gas company /city /HOA). *Discuss with your contractor the need for more soil around your concrete if needed * Point out any outdoor drains or areas that will need to be accessed post concrete work & how the contractor can accommodate * Discuss the water drainage & the need for the concrete to be slightly sloped ( speaking very generally here contractor will know the correct terminology ) so that water does not collect /pool when raining. * Also consider discussing a retaining wall if needed for areas near fencing or walls * Discuss details of when the concrete will be poured & notify your neighbors or close by businesses of when the concrete work will taking place out of courtesy due to the noise level * Have water or water bottles available for the construction/concrete team * Speak with other highly recommended professionals in the field of construction &/or concrete work ( including YouTube & Instagram videos/reels) who can provide background information that can assist you as you speak with your selected concrete contractor read more

I cannot say enough great things about Lira's concrete! Call Luis, get an estimate, and book him! You won't be disappointed. He's licensed, bonded, a veteran, honest, helpful, has great pricing, and does good quality work! Our current home is an older home that has concrete that is not properly sloped. There also was a tree in our backyard where the roots grew then lifted and cracked the concrete. My husband demo'd and removed some of the concrete. There was still some that needed to be demo'd and removed. Our job was a smaller job under 400 sq ft. I looked on Facebook groups and a lot of the members recommended the same companies. I got a quote from one of those companies and my husband was not impressed. So I turned to Yelp. After going through and reading reviews. I decided to request quotes from companies that made it through my filtering process. I was looking for fair pricing and quality work. Luis messaged back to give him a call for a phone consultation. He said if he didn't answer to leave a voice message or text and he would get back to us asap. My husband called and was able to set up a time for Luis to come by to give us an estimate. I had my husband talk to and get estimates from several concrete companies. When I followed up with my husband, his response was that he really liked Luis. I asked him why and he said that he was just easy to talk to and honest. My husband said if we are choosing based on likability I say let's go with Luis. My response to my husband was that is great of course I'd love to go with likability but when it comes down to it we are going based on affordability because we are on a budget. Luis got us his estimate the next day. He was by far the most competitively priced and in our budget. I was waiting on one more estimate and another company to come one to do an estimate. Since Luis was so competitively priced, it helped that he was personable, he had great reviews, his work in the photos looked good. We decided to book him. I canceled the other estimate appt. Luis said he would be able to get us in the next week. We asked if he could do the weekend but it was his birthday weekend. So we asked if he could do Monday and he said yes that he'd be there at 7am. Luis and his employee showed up on time. They got to work starting with doing the demo. He told my husband that the pump would be coming at noon and that he'd be done around 3pm. My husband left for work so my father in law came over in case there were any questions since I'm not familiar with this kind of stuff. I did occasionally take photos of the progress. Both Luis and his employee worked hard all morning long. They just stopped to take a lunch break before the pump came. The pump came at noon like he said and then they got to work with smoothing and finishing to make it look nice. I was very impressed with their work! My father in law is knowledgeable and is pretty critical. He literally said he had no complaints and that they were doing a great job the entire time. That really says a lot. We had a previous job where the person we hired tried to take a lot of short cuts, over promised and under delivered. That was not the case with Luis. Luis did what he said he was going to do and more in our opinion. He had to work around a small backyard space with lots of weird angles. Even with those challenges, he made it work and still did a great job. We are beyond satisfied with Lira's concrete! We have already started referring Luis to people we know, and plan on using him again in the near future for a much larger project! read more

Like most people I like to get multiple quotes for concrete work, as well as check reviews on the business. I found Lira concrete online and requested a quote. They were very quick to come give a quote, and were very friendly. I ended up getting 3 quotes, and then went on to check reviews. Lira concrete only had a few reviews, but they were all good, and their prices were good, so I decided to give them a try. I called and let them know I wanted to get started as soon as they could. To my surprise Luis and his crew were ready to start within a few days. The crew showed up when they said and went right to work. The work moved along very quickly, and before you know it the concrete pour day was here. Again Luis and crew were very efficient and hat everything poured and finished quickly. The concrete looks fantastic!!! Luis and his crew were fantastic, easy to work with ( I had to make some small changes on the fly) and very accommodating.
