Marlon! (hopefully I am spelling his name right) I went through the drive-thru late tonight after a very long day, and had one of the best experiences I've had in a long time, thanks to Marlon. From the moment I pulled up, his energy was infectious. He was incredibly polite, upbeat, and genuinely seemed to enjoy helping customers. It's rare to encounter someone who brings that level of positive attitude to their work, but Marlon made the whole interaction feel personal and fun. He was very quick and attentive. Places like this are lucky to have employees like him. read more

These are the LARGE cones?! We ordered two large chocolate-dipped cones from Lion's Choice, and I honestly thought they accidentally gave us something else. If these are considered "large," I'd hate to see the small. One was ridiculously skinny and lopsided, and the other looked like it had already given up on life before we even left the parking lot. The chocolate coating was a mess, and both cones looked nothing like what you'd expect when paying for a large. Lion's Choice, I love you--but you've got some explaining to do. These pictures are of TWO LARGE cones. read more

This was our first time to eat at Lion's Choice. I had the Italian beef sandwich with mild peppers and fries. I thought it was good- if I were doing it again I might ask for a little bit more of the pickled veggies. My husband ordered the French Dip. We were there at an odd hour (3 pm) and service was prompt, though the fries weren't as hot as I'd like, they were tasty. It's fast food but a nice change from burgers. The place was clean too, neat with plenty of high-backed booths. I'd recommend this option to anyone looking for a quick hot sandwich read more

The service here was terrible! They obviously hired one new employee who didn't know how to listen or use the cash register or communicate to his team about anything that was going on. The manager was barking out from the back telling him what to do, but they should've just let him shadow the other employees instead of try to work because he was useless. I had to repeat my order 5 times and then he says something like, "you dont have to cop an attitude about it". they tried moving the guy to other positions but he obviousky was not prooerly trained for ANY of them. Well the order still comes out wrong and people i walked in with had already eaten and left before i even got my food. Finally get it and it was the worst chewy italian beef i ever had. Ill never go back to THAT one. and I found a better Italian beef just up the street at St. Louis Fish and chicken. read more

Lion's Choice is my favorite fast food! I absolutely love their original beef sandwich, baked potatoes, and their Orange Cream. I love that it's a local chain, so still supporting local but able to make it work on my busy schedule. read more

I can't give 0 star but here's my review. Yesterday.. 6/10/25 I went thru the drive thru. I get busy times.. but 7 minutes for a simple order? Ordering was a hassle.. I wanted to know if their soup was an extra charge instead of the fries.. didn't get an answer and they said to pull forward.. didn't ask what drink. Haylee H. Was the name on my receipt but I'm not sure if it's the same person. This girl seemed extremely new. Here's my main complaint: your broccoli and cheese soup.. it was cold. Not even lukewarm. As a result.. I received food poisoning. I just got out from urgent care.. the cramps I had. Forever ruined this place. No food from my order was correct. The correct change given to me should've been $0.01 and she gave me $0.25. I appreciate the large soda but that didn't make it better and I also don't like soda so that tactic didn't turn out the way she planned. You need to train your employees or you'll get shut down. Your company is barely even known by anyone.. this doesn't help your reputation.. at all. I used to work for Popeyes.. at least their sandwich's are always hot.. One more note, if you or anyone from your company feels that I am being a "bitch" then you too are the issue for not recognizing the problem. Do better. Be better. Mc Donald's is better than you at this point.. at least their plasticity doesn't rot and cause food poisoning. Serving cold food.. what happened to serving with pride.. isn't that your moto? Time to do some reflecting, Mr Lions Choice. read more

The food is really good. The beef is tender flavorful and the bread is not soggy. Kids loved the hot dogs and they are huge for a kids meal. Plus the cookie is tasty too! If I have to give a negative would be that the fries could have been cooked a little longer but even they were very good. What I really enjoyed about them is they were not covered in a pound of salt like other fast food places. read more

LC enticed with a free cup of its new organic black bean soup for loyalty members. Paired with the original roast beef sandwich it was worth the stop. The drive-thru experience was okay. I got handed my food and thanked while my drink sat on a counter. Once retrieved I was on my way in a pretty jiffy. Due to local pandemic restrictions there is currently no inside dining at this location. read more

Missed a bunch of items on order. Then took a long time to finish the order. Food was okay, not great.

Another one of my St Louis culinary favorites. This roast beef sandwich chain is far superior to Arby's, IMHO. I went to the drive through and ordered the giant roast beef sandwich without cheese as a combo. I asked for pickles, onions, BBQ sauce and horseradish sauce for my sandwich. The combo came with large fries and a large coke. I pulled over into the parking lot and pulled out the condiments and applied them to my sandwich. And then I took my first bite. HEAVEN!!! The fries were hot and crispy. I was anticipating this taste of the hot, juicy roast beef with the onions, pickles, and sauces. I ate it all before I even thought about taking a picture. This is a fast food restaurant that I wish went national. The roast beef is thinly sliced, juicy, and flavorful. I really enjoyed it and wish I could take one back with me but I don't think it will happen. So if you're ever in St Louis and you enjoy a good roast beef sandwich, get to the closest Lion's Choice. I think you'll be glad you did. read more

We love Lion's Choice and have had good experiences at other locations but passing through St. Louis while making a 13 hour drive, we realized we were hungry and saw on GPS that Lion's Choice in Bridgeton was still open for another 15 min. We pulled in at 9:45 pm (it was open until 10), the sign on the window said OPEN, as did the drive-thru sign, but when we pulled up to the drive-thru, no one answered. So we pulled around, all the lights were on, but the chairs were already up on the tables and the workers were just standing there inside. I get that they just want their shift to end so they can go home, BUT if it's supposed to be open until 10, doesn't that mean they serve until 10? Maybe turn off the sign next time. At any rate, we were disappointed and gave our money to Burger King instead. read more

Horrible and very fatty. The attitudes of the people behind the counter at the rock road location have ruined this restaurant for me. It will be a very long time before I return. The cost of the food is not worth it. I ended up throwing my food away and leaving as I was yelled at on the way out the door . I didn't file a complaint at Corporate with no call back. Not sure I care anymore if they dont. read more

We've been going to this Lion's Choice for the past 10 years, and always enjoyed their roast beef sandwiches. Last night we went through the drive-thru and ordered the regular roast beef sandwich and French fries. Both of our sandwiches were overly seasoned and so salty they were just shy of inedible. If we weren't tired and didn't feel up to driving all the way back to the restaurant, we would have gone back and complained. To make matters worse, I'm going into the hospital this morning for knee surgery, and I am extremely thirsty from all that salt, but am forbidden to drink anything now. My wife thought the guy who took our order was unhappy. He didn't thank us when we paid for the order and didn't look like he wanted to be there. read more

The food was delicious. I can always count on it tasting great. The service was fast inside. The store was very clean.

Went inside and ordered a king roast beef on a gluten free bun to go. I asked for a styrofoam container and the lady offered packets of chipotle ranch. I asked if I could still have the packets (as someone with doesn't get a foil wrapped around my sandwich, I need something to be able to put my dip in) and the manager became involved and I was told that they aren't supposed to give out the containers anymore but she would give me one this last time. I simply said okay and walked away. The manager continued to talk very loudly about how no one needs that much sauce. While I understand the policy is coming from corporate and not the staff, it's unnecessary for the manager to comment on how much sauce she thinks anyone should be using, especially loudly enough for me to hear since I was still in the restaurant. I left and got went back to work to eat but I was not given a bun and was given a small (I ordered a king) cold container of roast beef and cold fries. It was not a great experience at this Lions Choice location today. read more

Well, that'll be the last time I go there. That place is went downhill so bad when you can see inside and look at the people cooking your food you won't wanna eat your food. Not to mention a lions choice. Once you get someone they can speak English to run your drive-through. Unbelievable it looks dirty and disgusting Inside. In line for 15 minutes with no one in line to cook a roast beef and fries. Post order update. Ordered a Diet Coke did not get a Diet Coke ordered. Extra seasoning did not get extra seasoning. This was the most well-done roast beef I've ever had that lions choice chewy. Awful. read more

Lions Choice has become a staple in St Louis. This is a great place to get a roast beef sandwich. They also have other sandwiches, salads, and even ice cream (including dipped ice cream). Look on Facebook for coupons and offers. The roast beef sandwiches are a little salty, but still good. There is a selection of sauces to choose from. I recommend checking this place out. read more

Just ordered 3 sandwiches and they all had slices of bone in them. One had at least 3 pieces that were easily visible when I started looking and about the size of a nickel. All 3 sandwiches were soggy as well. This has totally ruined Lions Choice for me. I will NEVER go back there. read more

The food is always great at any Lion's Choice, but I wanted to give a call out to Sharon and Hailey. The weather today was so bad that most businesses we closed. Sharon and Hailey worked alone, brought a fantastic attitude and exceptional service when my flight was delayed. Every restaurant should have service this good. Thanks for the smile and great food. read more

I recommend IF you order from here to go inside to watch your food being made..Took 20 minutes for my order.. and i ordered ahead .. (once I finally got my food I did not eat it .. i was afraid of the unsanitary practices I witnessed) no gloves .. FLYS ALL OVER THE FOOD PREP AREA ..Different meats and food items left on different surfaces .. microwave in heavy use .. they were out of unsweetened tea, no napkins read more

This location never has ice cream when I want it, especially when there are special coupons. I went today after work and the girl taking orders at the drive thru says yes we have it then says let me check. She returns with we don't have any(strawberry take home) . We arrived at 7pm for dinner and was promptly greeted by Christy in drive thru. Her Up be pleasant personality was a welcome change from local fast food restaurants. She was very accurate, patient and pleasant while taking our order. Our food was delivered in separate bags like we asked; hot and delicious. I actually went through the drive-through two times because the service was impeccable! Thanks again Miss Christy at the St. Charles Rock ARoad location for going above and beyond. read more

Far better than Arby's but not as good as everyone raves about. We stopped for a quick bite after arriving at the airport this past Sunday. We were intrigued because the place uses fresh slices of rare roast beef which is different than Arby's pressed pieces of beef. The cashier was nice, we were the only ones in there, so we got the food quick. I had some kind of "mighty" sandwich and my wife had the "king" sized meal. Both were almost $9.00 each, which included fries and a drink. Not worth it and although it was tasty, we won't be going back. C+ read more

We got here for dinner during our drive from FL to MN. Allen, the cashier, was super friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff was also super friendly. We tried the $5 meal deals and custard sundaes. They have options on how well done you want your roast beef to be and if you want extra seasoning, etc. The aus jus dip was also delicious! This is my go-to spot for some fast food. Probably one of the more healthier choices in terms of burgers and all. The roast beef sandwiches they serve here are tremendous. The roast beef is nothing like the ones they serve over at Arby's. I wouldn't even call Arby's roast beef. Lion's Choice roast beef is seasoned just right and you really don't have a choice when it comes to how well you want it done. It's just medium/medium rare. If you don't like your beef that way, please don't come here and then complain you didn't get your well done roast beef. If you love pure beef flavor, you cannot go wrong coming here. The thinly sliced beef is lean and mean. You don't ever have to worry about being too greasy. Although, the fresh hot piping fries accompanying your sandwich says otherwise. I usually opt for the King's roast beef meal which is the largest combo you can get. You get the pick of the litter when it comes to sauces ranging from au jus, horseradish, bbq and chipotle along with the usual ketchup and mustard. I usually mix up my own. I get a big sauce cup for the au jus and I grab another big sauce cup to mix my 2/3 ketchup and 1/3 chipotle sauce. It's pretty tasty! Service is always friendly here. I don't usually give 5 stars to a fast food chain restaurant but this one definitely deserves it. Parking is abundant here so just park right on in and eat some pure freshly sliced roast beef. read more

Lion's Choice offers the best roast beef sandwiches in the world. The way that they season and prepare each delicious sandwich is amazing! I love this place the young nice gentleman with the glasses who took my order was very kind and pleasant hope to see him again !

This location never ceases to amaze me with their order taking and production. We've visited this location 5 times since moving to the area. Our order was correct and hot 1 time out of the 5. I guess this was the last straw since I'm pregnant and had a craving. We get home and my large roast beef with Swiss was instead a cold, mangled roast beef with cheddar. The wrapper looked as if it was rejected I'd say 10 times. The silver was flaking off, I kid you not. So disappointing! My husband is now driving back to the location, during COVID; to sit in the drive through yet again to get my food corrected. I guess after an hour my craving will be met. Fingers crossed. read more

I'm no longer going to patronize this Lion's Choice. Ever since a person complained that the meat was under cooked(red in the middle like it should be!) they have been overcooking the roast beef. Love this place! King Beef with Swiss cheese & Chipotle Ranch. Great hotdogs & chili also.

One of my usual stops when I get back to St Louis. Call me weird all you want but I order the turkey and cheddar there... at a roast beef place. Always good, as are the fries. My dad usually gets a roast beef or the French dip. Restaurant is always clean and service is quick in terms of ordering and getting the food. Highly recommend this place. read more

Such a good company and great reviews in this area for fast food it's a shame that nobody from a corporate company recognizes the people that work for them today day toDay basis I called the manager and let them know they had the best reviews and fast food in that ZIP Code I also called corporate tonight as well and told them that they need to appreciate their staff more in order to keep them working harder and encourage them because the manager was extremely shocked and act like he's never heard that before maybe that's why fast food is how fast food is because the big guys never come down and shake the hands of the people that are actually making the money it's a shame read more

We went through the drive thru and the person was HORRIBLE. They literally screamed at us for asking for American cheese on our sandwiches, we then try to continue our order and she rudely cuts us off and ends our order. We went inside because the woman didn't even complete our order to find out the woman working the drive thru who was rude to us was the MANAGER. Wow. Completely horrible service. If you're in the area I HIGHLY suggest going to another location since these people will hate you for not knowing they don't have American cheese. I will NEVER come back to this location.
