Quickly discovered that they do NOT make anybody available to resolve issues by phone -- you have to leave a number and wait/pray for a return call. At the time I had the specific e-mail of an associate I'd dealt with earlier, and he jumped in & helped immediately. It appears they've plugged that loophole now. 2nd order: Shipped open box product where new product was advertised/charged. Same old story: nobody available to speak with you. Either leave a # or e-mail. They ended up issuing a $50 refund, but this should not have happened. 3rd order: In a panic I ordered a $150 TOSLINK cable, but found out later the issue was elsewhere. Again: nobody available to assist with the return. In response to e-mail, they did approve the return, but charged a $15 "return label fee." Grrr. Hopefully I'll have my wits about me next time & remember to avoid these shady people who only half-heartedly provide customer assistance!

Heading to Custom Home Hi-Fi to look for a turntable for my wife, I was worried that I would be shown a bunch of $2,500 models I could not afford. My experience could not have been more different than my fears. Jay Moore greeted me, listened to my needs ("my wife is getting into vinyl and I need a turntable for her to play through our Sonos system"), and recommended two models for me. The one I chose based on his recommendation, a Denon DP-300 automatic, was under $400. Not only that, but Jay fully set the turntable up for me and tested it in the store. When I returned to pick it up, he gave me a thorough walk through on how it works and also showed me the best way to clean albums. He also let me know that some new vinyl albums are 12" but play at 45 RPMs, which is different from the olden times. Although he is not a Sonos authorized dealer, Jay helped me to determine the best way to get my wife's new turntable connected to our Sonos. He even loaned me a cable to do so. All in all, I can't recommend Jay and Custom Hi-Fi more highly. A great asset to our local community.

Beware of this place. When you get a quote get it in writting…read more I went to have a lock rekeyed and the 1st time is was not done incorrectly. That cost $21.65. Then went I went there he said she should of charge $25.00. He would not honor their work and I did not get a refund. For some reason only one lock was rekey. He said no one was there to do it so leave the locks and they will key them. He said it would be $50.00. He called me back and again on the phone he said $50.00 for both. When I got there to pick up the locks he says I am going to give you a discount and it will cost you $70.00. What happen to the $50.00 charge? I am already out $21.00. I said what happen to the $50.00 charge. I did not argue with him and paid it. We installed the new lock and it would not even work. It would not turn all the way and hard to get the key out. I return the lock to th place I bought it and said this was an espenive lesson $91.65 for something that does not work. I do not even know how they stay in busness when they are not even there half the time. I will not be going back. I would not even have them make a copy of your key. I am sure they would do that wrong as well and they will proably over charge you.
