This nail salon is the absolute worst I've ever been too. The workers are rude and clearly talk about customers. I got a pedicure and wanted white gel polish. The lady has the audacity to say that I was too dark for a white polish. She insisted on me getting a blue because she felt it will look better. They're very racist and harass black customers. After I was done she wouldn't allow me to use my card because she was afraid I wasn't going to give tip. I told her I had cash then when I handed it to her she acted as if it wasn't enough. I've been going to this place for years. I've been reluctant to give bad reviews on this place because of that reason. This place has gone downhill ever since the female owner left. The other day I went just to get my eyebrows done and the male worker at the desk was like "what do you want??". Maybe rephrase that question sir. I said eyebrows and he pointed and started shouting go over there to the room. ( there are 4 rooms so idk which one he was referring to). I waited a few minutes and then noticed one of the female workers come over from the manicure station as she's working on another customer to help me. (I felt bad for the other customer). The waxing I received felt rushed but I still tipped the worker inside the waxing room. As I was going to pay the male at the front desk shouted "you tipped her right?!" I felt like the whole place was looking at me. I felt like that's a rude thing to ask. Overall the quality of the services are good however the customer service could do a lot better. read more

I wish I could have given NO STARS for this nail salon. My daughter and I went to this nail salon for the first time to get our nails and toes done because we needed them done to attend a family funeral. We arrived to the nail salon at 6:00pm and they closed at 8:00pm they had more then enough time to do our nails especially since the place only has three other clients in chairs being taken care of already. They rushed through our nails and toes. My finger nails are horrible and toe nail polish chipped off the same day. My daughter's nail's chipped as well. We had to repaint our nails with the polish we had at home. By the way they use acetone in the nail polish. Fast forward, when we were drying out nails the women who did our nails came over to us with the bill of $130. Over priced everything. Our nails were done horribly. The paint job was tacky and all on the cuticles and skin. Then as we were leaving another worker who didn't do our nails yelled HELLO so loud to them and aggressively asking for a tip. I gave her a tip but she wasn't happy with what I gave her. Like ma'am you need to go somewhere because that is all the tip you are getting from us especially since your team has done horrible job. Money hungry, depends a tip from you with aggression, forces you to do want they want to do instead of listening to want you want to do with your nails. We will never go back there again never. We recommend Coco nails in deer park guys. They do a great job. We would never recommend Lin's nail salon to anyone. This is an update to my original review. Yesterday 3/8/19 i went in for my second time and this time i was truly disappointed. I will not be coming back. I get dipping powder on my natural nails. One thing i like about the powder is that it makes my nails grow. I wanted a chrome color and she wanted to do a clear coat on top of my bad looking nails and do the chrome on top of that .. i do not want my nails looking like gum balls with all those layers and second of all i have never heard where they will refill your existing powder. All the other salons that i have been too always always takes off whatever powder i have on to do a new one on even if its the same color but they always take it off. I almost walked out after that then i chose a new color because they couldnt satisfy me with the chrome color and did this royal blue color which looks amazing and i added some jewels to this which she explain would be extra which is fine. I come to this salon due to the different color selections they have. I was recommended by a few friend of mine but after yesterday i will not be returning. She gave me the total price of mynails which were $45 for dipping nails and $10 extra for jewels, i gave her my tip which i thought was more than enough for this job and she has the audacity to tell me infront of everyone "thats it" wtf do you mean thats it, i gave you more than enough for the job done. She said it was a big job. Girl the first nail set when i first came to thisplace was a big job what i go yesterday is nothing compared to the first one. I was livid. This business is following COVID guidance. There is hand sanitizer for your hands and shoes prior to walking in. Temperature is taking as well. I was able to be serviced as a walk in. I requested tips with SNS powder and gel powder pedicure including callus removal. The cost was $90. I am very pleased on how both hands and feet turned out. read more

I asked for black nails with a simple cat eye design on two nails and two people couldn't do it. She couldn't even do the black nails, they came out bumpy and uneven. She didn't even cover them correctly with the clear coat. I had my nails done on Friday 2 of my nails broke off the very next day, I had no time on the weekend as a RE agent so today (Monday) I went In... as soon as I walked In Lin yelled "can I help you" then looked up and took one look at me and said we're busy to come back... moments after a young lady walked In (she appears to be White, I am a Black woman) As Im still standing there She asked her " how can I help you" In (Lins fashion) If you've been there before you know what I mean. We both had the same Issue but I wasn't good enough to be extended that same courtesy. Just 3days before I was there with my white partner spend $144 between us NOT including tip I gave Susan $25 as tip for my nails and $15 extra to the lady who did my feet, There was no Issues then...SMH I will NEVER go back after that embarrassment. my mother and I went for mothers day. we both got manicure and pedicure. my tech didn't speak English very well and was very pushy on the pedicure that didn't offer everything I wanted. frankly she was just straight pushy. once I picked my service, i found the tech didn't do a good job on my feet or hands removing the dead cuticle skin. I could see the un even cuts and left over skin. Not good service. once my service was done and I tried to pay with my CC, the tech told me I had to get cash from the atm to pay. I found that odd but got past it and paid with cash I had on hand. next when I tried to tip, the tech told me it wasn't enough and I needed to tip more. I was shocked and couldn't believe what I was told. I felt like I was given poor service and scammed. I would advise staying away from the nail place. It seems like a shady business. read more

It really pains me to have to update my review and drop my star rating so low, but unfortunately this is where I'm at...I have been a patron to this nail salon since they opened. I have moved a few times as well as traveled around the country, but I always came back to Lin's. I started feeling that the nail techs were a bit nasty and condescending over the years, so my main reason for staying was solely for Jennifer my pedicurist. I even began seeing a friend to have my nails done and came here to continue having my pedicure done by Jennifer. My friend moved away, so I gave them another shot. I began sitting with another woman who did a good job, but decided because my nails were weak she was going to put rips on them and do acrylic...not what I wanted but she made me feel like there was no other alternative. I called one afternoon to come in after work. I always make sure I can see Jennifer but I usually ended up with the same woman for my nails anyway (and I couldn't remember her name), but that night she had someone in her chair when my pedicure was finished, so I sat with another girl who I used to see and always did a nice job as well. I moved my phone from one side of the table to the other, and she burned me with the tool. I said "ow", and she scolded me like a child because it was my fault for moving. Then it happened 2-3 more times when I wasn't moving, so I got pretty annoyed at that point. She turns the tool up so high and moves so quickly and hits your cuticles...so I pulled my hand back and told her "this time it wasn't me and she needed to be careful ". When I put my hand back she smacked it...not hard...kind of playful, but also sarcastically. I got more annoyed, so she tried to play it off like a joke. I was also planning on her waxing my brows, but after that I decided I probably shouldn't. I honestly felt like she would sabotage them on purpose at this point! She finished up and then tried to charge me $47 for a fill in! Now they've bounced around on prices for me before...I get the same thing and sometimes it's $32, $34, $40, even $44 and I never say anything because they usually are repairing a nail, or something, but this time it was a straight fill in. Now I'm angry and disgusted they would treat any customer let alone a long time customer of over 18 years like that. I spoke with the guy at the counter and told him that was ridiculous and I'm sick of them changing prices everytime I come in (I know there's a $2 increase on each service due to covid, but they charge for each nail shape...they had been charging me for a princess when they started making them square and I said nothing), and that she burned my cuticles in multiple places and mistreated me. She comes over to the counter and starts talking trash about me in Chinese and is so unprofessional. He knocks off $4 and I paid just to get out of there. I tipped Jennifer very well and let her know because of their actions she lost me as a customer because I will not patron any place that treats me like that, even though Jennifer is wonderful. I'm leaving 1 star ONLY for Jennifer because she deserves her work to be noticed, but I have deducted 1 for the shotty work on my nails (my nails were pretty but my cuticleswere so swollen), 1 for the terrible attitude from the technician, 1 for changing prices to whatever they want, and 1 for how little they care about their customers. Thankfully I found a new salon that I absolutely love and treat their customers with the utmost respect. read more

I had SNS dip and they are fantastic. The tech was clean, her work station was clean, she was polite but didn't talk too much. The 3 stars is only due to the yelling between what appeared to be the owner or supervisor and her staff. And then the yelling at either a supply rep or delivery guy. She just yelled. In Chinese. And stomped around yelling some more. Then looked at the only two customers she had in the place and then yelled again. $35 for clean nail dip application was pretty good too. **UPDATE** TWO YEARS later, I decided to give this nail salon another shot. The man who did my acrylic nails applied them all crooked..litterly all of them. I told him to just take them off. I pointed out how every nail did not match and was either shorter, longer, or crooked. He started screaming at me! He was like what do you mean are you serious they look fine so the manager (and everyone else in the salon) heard she walked over and he's yelling to her in chinese. she took me over to her desk and was attempting to fix them. I ended up with still crooked nails, both my pinkies were SO MUCH shorter than the rest of my nails, my thumbs were different sizes, my pointers were completely crooked but sadly still looked better than what that man did to them. But I had a horrible experience each and every time and I refuse to go back. Save your money! You will be rushed, told what to tip and harassed for it until you do tip, and god forbid you open your mouth that the technician hurt you so badly and cut you, you will be cursed at in their native language as you walk out the door. Line's in my opinion is a GREAT nail salon. Never had anything but excellent nail care there. It has been completely renovated and looks amazing. This year I switched over to gel nails. They last long and are so worth the money paid. I did NOT realize there are different prices depending on the nail shape, but Lin explained that to me. Admittedly, she is a bit boisterous, but I have ALWAYS found her to be good-natured and honest. If I give an extra generous tip, I am always offered a gift of a bracelet, hair clip or other little gift as a gesture of appreciation. Furthermore, a friend at work used to have her own nail salon...She ALWAYS tells me to stay with LIN. She, too, is impressed by the amazing job they consistently do on my gel manicures- how long they last and how well they hold up. I LOVE LIN's personality and the salon! Other corporate salons in close proximity are much more pricey and like factories...I am a LIN s loyalist. I get great service and excellent quality at a decent price...and although I try to call first, I can walk-in without a problem. read more

I had a horrible experience there yesterday. Before I begin, I will be fair- it was pretty inside, and had a beautiful fish tank. From the second I sat down, however, the woman was in a terrible mood. I asked for French tips. Throughout my visit, she made comments about my nails at least ten times, telling me they were too short and how I bite them (which I do not, I have weak nails that break from my job where I work with bleach a lot). She tells me my nails are too difficult, angrily says something to the woman (boss) next to her, gesturing how small my nails are, and then the other woman looked at my hands in disgust and said "oh..". The woman who helped me was extremely rough- I have 2 sores along my nail beds now. After her horrible service, I went to go pay. I paid her the bill, $40, and as I was looking through my bag for the top, the woman (boss) was repeatedly telling me I needed to tip her. I asked her to break my $20, and she gave me one $10 & two $5s, forcing me to tip her $5 for awful service. As for the quality of my nails, they are even and the length I like them, short. My only complaint about them is that they have those acrylic nail dust flakes stuck in them, so they look dirty. read more

My husband just got a pedicure because the place we usually go to closed for Labor day. When he came back he said he paid $37 !!! WHAT??? I called the place and asked how much they charge for a man's pedicure and she said $20!! Then when I confronted her about how much she charged my husband she started saying the "spa pedicure" which only included the usual leg/foot massage cost $30. I don't love this place, the owner is all over the place and loves to tell you how much tip to leave. I go here because it's convenient and close by. Susan, however; is a great nail technician. She's the only person I've been serviced by (in the past 13 years) whose been consistently polite and professional each time. I've been coming to Lin for quite a bit . I stopped briefly after I found a nail salon closer , cheaper and that still did an amazing job . If Im in the area I will stop at Lins . Im always greeted upon entry , taken care of immediately and I love the renovations they've made . They even offer beverages other than water . They always do a great job with my pedicures and fill-ins . The one thing I cant stand is when I kno what I want they almost try to bully me towards what they think is best for me . Listen I know ya'll professionals but Im very aware of what I want and how I want it . A firm 'No..' gets them off your back .. Lol . I sometimes venture out to other salons and always come back. Lin's is great. They work neat and really take good care of me. When it comes to the price, I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. There are many extras here that you don't see anywhere and all of that is worth it! Loyalty matters and it's shame that some people haven't had the same experience. I think you need to be open minded and be understanding that when a business is swamped and crazy busy it is difficult to give each person that special, individualized attention. If you visit more often and varying times you will see that this salon is better and they go above and beyond. read more
