Kim and John happen to be two of the nicest people - they are always professional with a great sense of humor, everyone always feels so comfortable ! The salon is always clean and friendly. It doesn't matter if you have an appt scheduled or are a walk in customer, they are always always accommodating. If you are a first time customer or a long time one, they are always eager to get to know you, always ask about your family and they always remember!...In 17 years, I have never been disappointed with the way my nails have been done - they always look great! I had a filling done here today and let me just say, save your money and go elsewhere. I have never uglier nails than the ones I left with. I am not one to typically complain but for a $50 filling to look like this is absurd. Nails are uneven, gel color everywhere and yet somehow missing on side of nails. Just yesterday! Please tell me if this is worth of $70,I got new tips and I said french tip nails something was really off. The Lady keeps on insisting that the nails are ok.Even I look unhappy.Look, the price is right but the outcome was not. I even got some excess acrylic beneath my nails I already told her to remove it. I just pretend I was ok because it seems like they will just insist the work was good but it's NOT. So rather putting myself into an argument I just pay and leave. AWFUL!! I have been doing my nails for over 20 years. I was in the area and stopped in here for a powder manicure. I have had powder manicures last 5 weeks before getting my nails done, and I was going in with a 6 week old powder manicure with just normal growth. First, they charge $5 for taking off what is on your nails. Then it's $40 for a powder manicure. Since it was fall I wanted to change it up and use 2 different colors - another $5 fee. 2 HOURS! 2 HOURS it took to put powder directly on the nail (they don't use a build powder - directly on your nail it goes) - dipped twice ONLY and then one brush of top coat! THAT is it! $50 plus a $10 tip! $60 to not even make it the night - 3 of them cracked - it is not even a week and a half later - each nail has cracked, lifted, pieces of color missing - they look like crazy glued press on nails! SAVE your hard earned money - AVOID this place!!! SO UPSETTING! I would add pictures BUT they are TOO EMBARRASSING!!!! read more

Stumbled here on accident. I had read the reviews for this place beforehand and knew it wasn't for me but it just says "Nails" on the storefront and I didn't recognize the address, otherwise I would've stayed away. I'll just say I could not wait to go home and put Neosporin on my cuticles! I've never had such a rough manicure where your skin was filed, repeatedly, then buffed (not just the nail, nail and skin) and cuticle cutters used (roughly) then when something was said, it was blamed on my nails being too short or, better yet my SKIN being "too long." Mask was not worn for the duration of treatment. In the picture you can see one of my fingers is irritated because of the cuticle treatment. There is another finger on my other hand as well, it does not show in pictures but, stings whenever I wash my hands. Btw my technician got some bond in that cut and when I reacted to the sting she said "okay, okay, okay" but never acknowledged her roughness. The courtesy massage given was very good. Maybe other techs are good but after my manicure experience I would not recommend this salon. read more

My friend and I had gone here and She has acrylic nails and I had gotten Gel and it took so long to even get it done and it started to chip on her nails so fast and mine are also beginning to chip which isn't good and I had asked for a specific color when I was doing the design on my nail and they gave me orange instead of white and didn't have any matte color for my friend which is what she wanted we had gone here last week. Decided to try this salon out on my way to a different salon in which I had not been before either. This salon did NOT disappoint. They were amazing. I got a gel manicure, spa pedicure and my eyebrows done- zero wait. Rena did my nails and she was great! Kim the owner is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and so genuinely nice. Called at 2:50pm to see if I could make a pedicure appointment for 6:45pm. The location closes at 7:30pm according to YELP so I just wanted to make sure there would be availability and enough time. I was told the time was fine and my name was taken. I arrived 6:42pm. I was met with unwelcoming stares. I told the man in the front I had made an appointment and was interrogated about who made my appointment, what time I called, etc. I answered all questions and finally was reluctantly seated in a pedicure chair with a back that was caving in. I then received the shortest most careless pedicure of my life (about 10 minutes) and charged $17...cuticles half cut and hanging off my toes, paint not fully covering nails and dry skin. After he was "done", I was seated at a weak fan to dry my nails, the bill was shoved in my face and I was given a complimentary massage of exactly 30 seconds (no exaggeration). I'm annoyed but slightly vindicated as a mother, her teenage daughter and screaming baby walked in at 7:05pm and asked for manicures and pedicures to be done in 25minutes. My 15 year old and I went to a different nail salon, Color Nails in Central Islip. They refused to allow us to sit together. When all was said and done my daughters nails were out on crooked. The nail tech took her hand and filed them side and waved us away @ "All good. Go now". She was hysterical and was adamantly against going back in I called Nails 4 U at 5 pm and explained. They told me to come in a bit later. We got there and they were so kind to her and took such good care of her. They correct two nails by removing and putting new on and filed the others and polished. I used to come here all the time in high school and college, I recently moved and started going to a new place closer to my house. I went last week to get a powder gel manicure because I was in the area, they broke the next day 8 out of 10 nails. Beyond upset and disappointed. Went back to get my money back they refused said best they can do is change the color. I walked out. If you advertise the product last 2 weeks at least and breaks and cracks day 1 something is clearly wrong with your product and the customer deserves there money back. read more

I've never had a bad experience here, and not sure how another reviewer could develop 'cystic back acne' from a massage??? Never had that happen to me, or anyone else I know that has had a massage done here. Sad to say, I had the worst gel manicure ever done here. Never saw the girl that did my nails before.Topcoat turned a funky blue color; when I came in the next day to see if they could fix it I got some really rude comments including "Oh My God! What is wrong with you!?", "you must've used something chemical", and my favorite, "You must've washed hands". A mistake can be forgiven and forgotten, (maybe the topcoat was bad, for instance) but those comments were uncalled for and very unprofessional. They "fixed" it by filing off the top coat and redoing it. This took away the funky color, but also made the white line of my french manicure chip (which has never happened, EVER, with any of the gel frenchies I've gotten) within a day or two of the correction. Gel manicure lasted less than a week before I had to go elsewhere to have it done again. I'm crossing this salon off my list. :( I'd love to give more stars based on previous visits here, but this review is based on this particular visit and it wasn't good. :( read more

Cheap run of the mill nail salon. Went on the day before Thanksgiving and I had to wait. Much shorter wait then at the one that I was at first.I was easily able to find the color that I had gone in wanting to get. Quick and easy manicure, took more times to dry than to do but that is what I had needed that day. If you are looking for through might not be your place. So......I have had a big problem finding a nail place that does a good job on my stubby little fingers and short nails. So they're short, so what? I still want them to look good! I walked into Nails4u and was instantly greeted, even though everyone was busy. I told them I wanted a gel mani and got to work figuring out what colors to choose. I decided to go with the French :) Someone became free and sat me down....she apparently got upset because I had old gel color on that needed to be soaked off and huffed and puffed and stomped around a bit about that. (That's why I'm not giving five stars). She got me to soaking in Acetone and went to do something else (thank Goodness!) Then, I met sweet Maria. Maria did a WONDERFUL job on my nails. She was personable and really seemed to enjoy her job. Yep, I may have a finally found a new favorite here, folks! read more
