Eric came and was very informative and knowledgeable about what the house size would need and did not try and up-sell any expensive thermostats or any one particular type of furnace or A/C, but instead took the time to fully explain modern operation and controls and which one would qualify for Alliant rebates. Of the 5 bids Eric's bid was very competitive on price and he was able to schedule me in right away. My first impression of Eric is of a very trustable, dependable person. The bid was to replace furnace, A/C and water heater (Power vented gas) and install gas lines to stove and dryer. Installation to start 11/12 August 2020. A large storm moved through Cedar Rapids and knocked out power to the town for 8 days. Rescheduled for 27 Aug. Eric showed up at 0730 Thursday and Friday and with a helper, did the install. Looks good and works great. He took away all the old stuff and left the place very clean. Eric and his assistant were very nice to work with and I would recommend them to anyone as a competitive, competent HVAC / water heater source. Melinda is the contact person for the office and she is very quick to respond to phone calls or emails. The quote she sent was very clear and understandable. Some of the other contractor quotes I received were very limited on information so it was hard to determine from them what the charges were for.
