Sausage omelet w/ American fries and wheat toast. Very hearty portions at a really good price.
Dan H.

Visited the Linnwood Tavern at about 0730 on a Saturday morning. Social distancing was in effect and people had on masks when/where appropriate. Ordered the sausage omelet for breakfast and was thick and had an ample amount of cheese. It was very tasty. I have yet to order something off of the breakfast menu that was not superb. Very good breakfast. Saturday mornings are fun there because at about 0900 the bar starts filling up with people that are continuing the party from the night before. There is lots of music playing on the TouchTunes and darts being played at 0900 in the morning. Lafayette is a factory town so there are many bars/taverns that open at 0700 to accommodate the third shift crew. Linnwood Tavern is one of them and does a good job of accommodating the different crowds in the morning. The bar got remodeled and painted over the initial shutdown in the SPring and is very well done. It is a smoking bar so that may affect your decision to visit. The 'smoke eaters" do a pretty decent job while you are there, but when you walk out you can tell you were in a smoking bar. I am not a smoker, but it never has much of an affect on me. The Linnwood Tavern is a place for great breakfast and a good time, even at 0800 on a Saturday morning!!!

Lunch special beef and noodles

Lynnwood Tavern is a local neighborhood bar, nothing fancy. There is a small stage for bands to perform, and some space for patrons to dance. There are plenty of TVs lining the walls, as well as dart boards and a jukebox pumping out music. This is a smoking establishment, with clean ashtrays on every table. I haven't visited during the evening, yet, to partake in any other entertainment they provide, so this review is about the food. And the food is good. New ownership revamped the menu and cleaned the place up a bit. There are daily specials, and breakfast is served every day until 2 pm. The beef and noodles is awesome, just the right amount of food, at a very good price. Their pork tenderloin is mammoth, and the breading stays crunchy throughout the meal. The bun looks puny covering the huge slab of meat. I recently discovered Lynnwood's breakfast menu. Normally, I go right for the corned beef hash. But my wandering eyes fell upon this contraption called the stuffed hashbrown waffle: hashbrowns with diced green peppers and onions and your choice of breakfast meat, cooked on a waffle iron. It comes with two eggs, and toast/biscuit. It looks a little funky, but the crispy shell combined with the fresh peppers and onions make this an amazing dish. You only live once, so I ordered a side of sausage gravy to go with it.There was enough gravy to cover the huge biscuit AND the meal. I think I found my new breakfast favorite. Lynnwood Tavern now does accept credit cards. The kitchen hours are limited: 7 am - 2 pm every day, and 5 pm - 8 pm M - W, 5 pm - 9 pm Th - Sat. I would have given Lynnwood Tavern five stars except for the blast of smoke smell when you enter, and lingers inside. If you are a smoker, you probably won't notice it. The staff is great and attentive; when it gets busy they can be taxed so be patient.

Best breakfast north of Main Street in Lafayette! I've had multiple selections and they've all been excellent. I think over the last year the food quality and selection has actually gotten BETTER.

Fun time with my brother!! Love this place! Atmosphere is awesome!!

Love their tenderloins, fries, fried mushrooms and SW chicken egg rolls. One of the best loins in town!

Great bar and food. Unfortunately, the smoking ruins both the food and the atmosphere.

Didn't even stay. Went for breakfast on Sunday and it was a cloud haze of smoke and ashtrays. Not conducive to Sun morning breakfast

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

This restaurant has a nice ambiance but there is room for improvement…read more As a heads up, it's definitely on the pricier side. (e.g. the scallop dish had exactly 3 scallops for what you're paying.) Prices on the menu have also gone up since other Yelper pics of the menu. The bread and butter was delicious. There is a lot of it, so I asked to box up the leftover bread and butter. The waiter took it but definitely did not box up the same amount of bread that I left behind. I only received a fraction of what I expected to be boxed up. The butter was flat out discarded. I would have just boxed it up myself had I known that they'd make sure it would go to waste. Not sure what happened to my actual leftover bread. The waiter was telling me all about the desserts and really played up the baked Alaska. It sounded great and I had my heart set on it after hearing all about how awesome it was and then he came back and said they ran out. It would have been more efficient to check up on inventory before talking up the different menu items.

The space looks great, it's clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Service was very fast, even with multiple large groups in the room. Noise was completely reasonable. If anything, it may feel "a little loud" to someone whose baseline is the quieter side of the Lafayette-area dining scene, but compared to bigger-city restaurants it was fully fine and well within what I'd expect. Overall, The Bryant would fit right in in a market like Oklahoma City, Dallas, New York, or Pittsburgh and wouldn't feel out of place at all. Highly recommended.

I thought I was underdressed, but the dress code seems pretty casual. Water was served in a cold milk bottle. I could not decide what to order; everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious. The menu described the items well, and when I asked the wait staff for their preference or any recommendations, she told me five different favorite items that are often ordered, which was nice, but was not what I asked. I finally decided on the strawberry-and-brie cheeseburger. I ordered it medium well with fries. I was really disappointed in the French fries; they tasted old and cold, and when I cut into the hamburger, it was bloody. I sent the burger back, and this time they brought it out well done. The staff argued that it was medium well, with blood coming out of it. And before anybody thinks I'm confusing the strawberry jam on the burger with bloody pink meat, please see the picture. Upon receiving the new burger, which was cooked well done, I found it to be very good. It was tasty and juicy. As I was finishing my meal, a young family came in, and their child was making a lot of noise. A gentleman told them that if the child did not calm down, they would have to go outside. When the family tried to speak with the gentleman further, he continued walking away and did not stop to answer questions. I was not sitting close to this table, and yet I heard the gentleman talking to the young couple. Had I not already received my food and been getting ready to leave, I would have gotten up and gone with the couple in support. I understand setting standards, especially when the restaurant is bustling, but at this point, as a server, I could only observe two other tables in the entire restaurant, and one of them was preparing to leave. If I ever returned to this area, this restaurant would not be one I would return to.

Finding your way to the restaurant with all the construction in 2025 sucked though, so be aware of that. There were 7 of us, tired and grumpy from the rainy Purdue Game, rolling in at about 9pm, ready to get some real food for dinner. Fortunately, we were seated right away. We got chatting and enjoyed looking around at the fascinating and delightful pub style decor. The history of the restaurant and its owners is on the back of the menu and is a great and heartwarming read. I ordered the regular size portion of corned beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes and a slice of deliciously dense Irish bread. My bf got a pint of cider and Irish stew with a slice of Irish bread. The table also split an order of pub chips and at the end, a slice of Irish Bailey's cheesecake. The cheesecake is a must get!! My bf paid our bill which was about $40, which is a great price for the large quantity of yummy Irish food we enjoyed. I would love to go back here anytime we are in town.
