I cannot recommend Dr. Ling enough! When I was a child, I ran from a stray dog and hit my knee on a fire hydrant. Fast forward to adulthood, and I've now developed arthritis in that same knee. Recently, it became so swollen that I couldn't walk on it for about two weeks. Well, I wasn't rushing to visit one of these places but when I finally needed one I was happy to have come here. I found Ling's clinic to be super close to me so I decided to stop by and give them a shot. The reviews are not wrong, I got to my appointment and receptionist was super nice and very helpful. I had had a very buggy lat muscle and got both treatments and within a few hours my pain had subsided. With a little bit of rest added to that I felt must better within days. I came here to try and get relieved for my Achilles tendinitis which was getting worse. The front office, Nancy, warned me that it'll be quite painful when the acupuncturist inserts the needles. And Yes, they hurt like heck! However, this was my 2nd session and I noticed when k got home, the pain from the tendonitis wasn't as painful. However, it returned in the evening. I will continue to go through the sessions until this is totally gone, which I truly believe it could. It seemed to have started to work on me just in the 2nd session. If it disappeared completely it would be a miracle. I'm not expecting a miracle--just healing. My friend who recommended this place to me had acupuncture treatment to for sciatica. Ling's Acupuncture Clinic on Western (not to be confused with Ling's Acupuncture on Marine - I tried by accident) is simply the BEST. I've suffered chronic back pain for 30+ years, then after a hit and run accident in 2023, aggravated it more, in addition to neck and shoulder injuries suffered from that accident. Nancy set me up for my first 6 appointments (referral through my insurance carrier) with Dr. Oh for my lower back to start. By the 2nd visit, lower back pain was gone, but used the remaining just to see it through. Next 6 visits (Insurance refers by body part) for upper back was deeper but Dr. Oh alleviated most of the pain I was carrying for decades within two visit, my neck pain (which wasn't part of the treatment), mostly residual, disappeared. Then the next 6 visits for my shoulder - I had torn my left rotator cuff (I'm a southpaw) and needed surgery, but didn't want to because I heard the horror stories of what happened to others after surgery. Again, after the second visit (of the 3rd body part), I found more mobility and movement with Dr. Oh which I hadn't had in the 2 years of other acupuncture places and too many to count physical therapy visits I had been to and through. My wish list is to have Dr. Oh treat every ache and pain. Given how much I have spent on other acupuncture places who have you keep coming back with not much relief, Ling's Acupuncture Clinic and Dr. Oh are by far the best and works! I love the 'ones and dones'. I wouldn't mind spending out of pocket for those aches and pains knowing they most likely will disappear within 2 visits (others may vary). I have already recommended several friends and co-workers to this place and can't speak highly enough about Nancy and Dr. Oh. I found the BEST. Ample parking, takes insurance and credit cards, and a welcoming atmosphere. Nancy is wickedly smart, informative, friendly, and funny. Dr. Oh is unassuming and amazing. If/when I need a check-up or other aches and pains lead to discomfort, I'd be willing to pay out of pocket and call Nancy for another visit or two knowing the aches and pain will be gone! I have been struggling with dizziness, vertigo for a month and the ENT has kinda gave up on me, but I'm glad to find this place! Short story: I live with chronic neck pain and it's manageable most of the time but once it flares up, it's beyond painful. My wife had Shingles on her face. She was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome by multiple doctors and her one side of the face was paralyzed due to the nerve damages. She was suffering for a month and we decided to try Dr Ling's on Western ave after Acyclovir treatment by western docs. We were hopeless but guess what! Long story short, she fully recovered in 3 weeks. We did twice a week treatment as recommended and on her 6th visit, she claimed that she is fully recovered. My wife could feel the difference starting on the 2nd round of visit. Her mouth started moving and so did her eye lid. Then, it's a beautiful recovery afterwards. Only thing that's left to do is Mederma treatment to make the scars go away forever and she is healing every day. I cannot thank the doctor and the nurse. Dr. Ling is seriously the coolest acupuncturist I've had. He's super fast and fixed me right up. My back has been out of whack for about 2 years and finally got worse 2 weeks ago. He could feel exactly where the pain was coming from and fixed me. There is plenty of parking in the back or on 169th street's residential parking. Checking in on yelp is an easy $10 off and you can't do it every time; only for first time patients.
