I've been receiving care from Dorian for about a year now and it has been one of the most holistic,…read morelife giving experiences I've had from a health care practitioner. I initially started seeing Dorian for emotional support during a big life transition which brought a lot of stress and grief. From the initial intake (the most comprehensive intake I've ever filled out for healthcare), to my first visit at her sliding scale clinic in Long Beach- I felt so cared for and safe to share about my wellness needs. Dorian made space for me to share how my emotions were affecting my physical body (specifically with my menstruation) and thanks to her holistic approach to care and recommendations, I was able to advocate for myself with my primary care provider and received necessary ultrasounds that led me to learning things that were going on in my body that I otherwise wouldn't have been aware of. Since then, Dorian's care has continuously supported and continues to support my emotional, physical and spiritual well being. Through receiving acupuncture, cupping, and body work (scraping/gua sha) medicine from Dorian, I have learned so much about my body and have been able to apply what I learn about in our sessions to my daily wellness habits. Dorian also always creates safe space in each session for my many (many many many) questions and for sharing updates about where I'm at and what I'd like to focus on. As a queer brown person, it's always important for me to find practitioners that I feel values aligned with and safe with and I am always recommending Dorian to my queer friends&family (and really anyone who will give me the time of day.) Thank you for everything Dorian!!

Immediately upon…read moreour first session, I could tell Dorian leads with compassion and knowledge, focuses on understanding and contextualizing before reaching any conclusions, and uses her specialty for great healing without having to even say too much. Dorian gently performed cupping, acupuncture and moxibustion, while offering an extremely relaxing and safe environment. So much so, I have cried twice while alone in the room with the great release of tension lifting from my body, and experiencing beautiful expressions of things I hope to have during a very uncertain time. These visions have led to this review and my gratitude to Dorian! I was surprised at this cathartic experience, and did not expect to alleviate anxiety through the practice -- but it seems that's what is happening... I plan to continue my journey with Dorian as my needs change and I feel compelled to pass this gem along in any way I can!

With his assessments, they take photos of your tongue and do an overall idea of what's going on. He was patient with me because I did NOT like needles when I first heard of my sister and her acupuncture stories. But I was so much in pain that I was not going to make this harder than it was. He was super gentle and quick about the needles where they needed to be placed. He was humorous and that really made a huge difference because it was already something that I had to let go of the fears and move on with it. And 2025, I still see Dr. Kim and no sciatica issues, mostly a bit of back pain and now seeing him for neck and shoulder stiffness due to the stress with my business. Thanks to Dr. Kim for scheduling me in. Facilities are comfy, bathrooms always clean. And him and his wife are super nice and friendly. Highly Recommended - Dr. Kim, Owner of Mega Acupuncture…read more I have been receiving acupuncture treatments for over 30 years, and without reservation, Dr. Kim is the best acupuncturist I have encountered to date. By way of background, I previously received care from a doctorally trained, top-ranked practitioner, which taught me a great deal about Eastern medicine and helped me develop a rigorous standard for evaluating acupuncturists. That foundation included understanding its more than 2,200-year documented clinical history, the significance of the meridian channels, the purpose and effects of specific acupuncture points, and my own successful treatment outcomes. That is precisely why Dr. Kim stands out at the highest level. As a result of that experience, I developed a very high standard and a clear evaluation framework for determining whom I trust to insert upwards of twenty needles into my feet, hands, and upper body. While many practitioners may hold credentials, I have found that true expertise is revealed in the following areas: * The practitioner's ability to accurately view and interpret the condition of the tongue, which identifies various internal imbalances and maladies. * Skill and accuracy in taking and interpreting the pulse. * The level of care and compassion demonstrated in the manner in which needles are inserted into the feet, hands, head, ears, and neck, noting that these are among the most sensitive and tender areas of the body. * Bedside manner. * Patience. Dr. Kim consistently demonstrates excellence in all of these areas. His approach reflects deep clinical knowledge, refined techniques, and genuine respect for the patient, along with an unspoken, unwavering commitment to his treatment plan, which has been paramount to my healing and recovery. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Dr. Kim and would like to personally thank him for pursuing acupuncture medicine with a depth of passion and a standard of excellence that I have never seen before. 진심으로 감사드립니다 ("I sincerely thank you from my heart.")
