Highly recommend! I stopped in for new bras and was immediately attended to. I didn't want to get fitted because I usually find the experience uncomfortable but the sales associates convinced me to in order to get the best fit, and I'm glad they did. Ally took my size quickly and started bringing me options. I tried a couple sizes and she helped figure out which was best and how the straps should fit, then I brought my selections up to check out. I ended up leaving with three new bras, all reasonably-priced, and they took the tags off one so I could wear it out of the store. In all it took about 25 minutes. It is such a big improvement on what I had been wearing that I didn't immediately rip it off when I got home like I usually do! So glad I went in. Lingerie by Susan is the local alternative to VS. With specialty brands, custom fits, and shapewear galore, Susan is THE go to lady for foundation garments. Both my sister and my best friend have purchased corsets for their wedding dresses here and Susan is a favorite for ladies who need hard to find sizes. I would recommend making an appointment for fittings as the store is small and the place gets a little awkward quickly. My sister was a walk in on a Saturday morning and they fit her in after a 20 minute wait - but I would imagine that would be impossible if we showed up in the afternoon. There are only two fitting rooms and with ladies waiting outside, it may feel a little nerve-wracking for some! The fittings go quickly because the ladies here are experts, kind and helpful in coaching you into showing off your assets (as securely as possible!!). The selection of bras, panties, spanx, swimsuits, and stockings is admirable, especially considering how small the store is. They are REALLY organized and can find everything, even though the tore is practically packed floor to ceiling with negligee! They also offer accessories like fabric tape, clear straps, and so on. There is no seating or waiting space, so I would recommend leaving spectators at home or sending them to the Starbucks across the parking lot. Prices are going to be higher than at a Victoria Secret, but probably on par with a Macy's or Nordstroms. The brands they carry are top notch, so do expect to pay your fair share and not get steals. That said, the brands here are still cheaper than shopping at boutiques in Manhattan, so I think its a great deal. read more

I told them in the store that I find underwire bras uncomfortable. They told me "not if they fit right". I believed them and that was a mistake. When I got the bras home and wore them for a day there were indeed uncomfortable. I went back to be refitted for wireless bra. Every single one I put on they told me was a good fit. I knew they weren't all you had to do was look in the mirror to see that. There are no refunds so I replaced the bras I had not worn with ones I found acceptable. I would never go back, they are just trying to make a sale, not create a relationship that would make you want to return. read more

I will never spend another red cent in this store. Susan is nasty and not professional. I went to buy a corset for my wedding dress but since Susan was in too much of a rush to leave for the evening, I wound up purchasing something that did not fit my dress properly. Since I did not have my wedding dress yet, I showed Susan a picture as I was waiting on delivery, she sold me a corset where the bust padding was exposed once I was able to put it on during the dress fitting. I had no other choice but to buy a different corset while at my fitting and bring the one back I purchased from Susan to get a refund. The store employees said no refunds were allowed and I could exchange it for another... Sorry, but I can't wear two corsets with my wedding dress. I asked for the manager and when Susan came out to see me she was rude and condescending saying I should've asked if refunds were allowed. Really, in this day and age, you can get refunds online without issue. I also believe, since she's the professional, her first statement to me should've been, it's best to try on the corset with your dress because you need to make sure it's not visible. Not just push a sale that I'm completely sure she was aware of could've resulted in having to bring the corset back. The store was busy with shoppers while this arguing occurred, she eventually refunded me for the corset. I'm sure the only reason why is she agreed was because she didn't want to risk the possible loss of sales from the other customers in the store. Ladies, should you choose to shop here for under garments for your wedding dress be sure to know returns will be a huge issue. I almost feel like I was tricked into purchasing something where I'm sure Susan knew better, anything to keep her sales margins up. Susan's was recommended to me by an intern at work. I took my 14 year old to get fitted as she is a difficult size to find. There was no wait, they were very kind , professional and made my daughter feel very comfortable when she was dreading the fitting. My daughter was fitted with many options for day wear as well as sports. Do expect to pay for a great fitting bra. We purchased one for $72 and another for $48 but it was so worth my daughter finding bras that gave her confidence and made her felt good about herself. There is a sign posted at the front desk near the register which does say that their are no cash refunds only credits so that should not be a surprise, just make sure you have the correct fit and style and feel comfortable prior to purchase. read more

I have been going to Susan for years now. I have purchased bras, shapewear and great bathing suits for my larger breasts that I could not ever find in a department store!!! Susan (or anyone who works there) will bring me bathing suits for my style. I can try on in the fitting room and show Susan or anyone else how it fits. They do all the leg work for me and I don't have to leave the fitting room at all. for me, that is half the battle. I never leave the store disappointed about NOT finding anything. As a matter of fact, I usually find too much!!! If you like something and they don't have your size, they will order it. The customer service is beyond any expectation. I went to Susan's today to get fitted for a bra, I had been to several different stores already to get fitted but no store had a measuring tape able to fit me (I am a very very large chested lady) so I went to Susan as my absolutely last hope. I walked into the store with my boyfriend I was greeted with a "Hello" and a pause, I said hello and they ( there where 3 people in the store, an older lady who must of been Susan and two teenage girls). I walked up to the counter and said "excuse me I was wondering if I could be fitted" the older woman looked at me and said yeah sure and everything was going well, until she incorrectly sized me a few times saying my band with was a 44 however it was a 40 i had been measured several times before even doing so myself and I told her, I am not a 44 im a 40, she said "well try it on anyway". I tried it on and of course it didn't fit at all so she handed me 3 more bras and eventually we size me correctly, I asked her what brand and size it is and she tells me, I leave the dressing room excited because finally after weeks of trying to figure it out I was finally size correctly and was excited to buy the bra however I was not planning to make a purchase at that time. She ask me "so your going to buy it" I say yes but not at this time since my payday wasn't until that friday she then tries to convince me to layaway it and I told her I just wanted a fitting today so i know what to come back and get, her attitude completely changed and she became very rude toward me saying "well look we don't just do fittings if your going to do a fitting you have to buy a bra, we don't just do fittings for nothing". she basically charged me $60 for a bra and a fitting. I told her no because what kind of shop do you run where you just expect a customer to make a commitment like that after doing a fitting and if you do have that rule post it on a sign outside your store that says "We do fittings but only if you buy a bra". after I left they proceeded to laugh at me behind my back like a bunch of high school girls. I give susan's credit they had bras I had only seen online and never in store before but their treatment of costumers is horrible to mock me and laugh at me before I even leave the store is uncalled for and to make someone buy a bra after they just wanted a fitting because they had no idea what size they where is wrong and just bad business. She has nice things but I will never step foot in that shop again and will gladly take my money elsewhere. read more

I traveled from Staten Island to this shop in hopes of finding bras for my larger than average body. I was greeted by friendly staff. I was measured, this was a red flag at first because it was done over my tshirt, but the size quoted at first was about what i wear. Into the dressing room i went and the fitter spent 30. Min with me trying numerous bras in different styles and sizes. She was honest and easy to work with. The best part is this store had numerous styles in my size that were not the usual black,white,& beige i am traditionally forced to purchase. The prices were also awesome i spent between $49 & $55 much better than the last bra i was pressured to purchase that did not actually fit. I could do a commercial for this store. Came to this shop to get undergarments for my wedding. One of girls fit me for a bustier and they had a lot to choose from. Being a DD cup, I was surprised from the amount of options, that's rare for me. The bustier I bought ended up not working with my dress but I was able to exchange it for another style (which made my dress fit just perfectly). I hope this helps future brides and customers out there to think before visiting this store when I walked in no one acknowledged my presence as I walked to the counter I was greeted by two blank expressionless teenage girls finally I had to explain why I was there and asked if either of them could help me I was given one single bra to try on when it clearly was the wrong fit she continued to stare at me I had to ask to try on a different bra finally I found one and she assured me it was for a sweetheart gown when I went to my fitting the entire bra was coming out of the dress it was no where close to being correct! She said to me leave the tags on so you can return it when I called to speak to them about returning the item the owner was downright nasty! And said that none of the above happened and started laughing I think the first thing is they need employees who are actually experienced and a lesson in customer service!
