Had my wedding here last October and Diane and Scotty made sure it went smoothly. Not to mention how personal they were to make sure we felt comfortable. I would do it all again. Staff were nice at my friend's wedding reception here. Super cute and pretty venue! However, I give this 3 star rating because of two things: I had a tiny fly in my food and the service was short-staffed. There was only three staff members assisting with the food so it was slower in waiting for our food to be served to each table. They were great at attending to us and guests however for refilling drinks. The venue is also so pretty with plenty of parking and some street parking by the gate entrance! read more

Our family recently had a beautiful wedding ceremony here. The ceremony on the grass was nice and shaded, but the volume was a little low for the back row. Luckily I could hear but some others couldn't. The reception in the hall after was nice and air conditioned and well organized. The salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes were yummy, but people were disappointed by the prime rib they got when they expected filet minot. Overall it was a great event venue that went seamlessly. read more

This lovely venue was a perfect fit for our mom's 90th birthday celebration! Scott and Diane were very friendly and worked together with us to provide a memorable event! The grounds are lovely, the building is clean and nicely situated for a large crowd. Scott worked together with us for a couple of last minute adjustments. The members of the staff were all very friendly and accommodating; food and food service went beyond our expectations. I cannot recommend them enough!! read more

What an incredible venue! It was the perfect setting for the City of Azusa's Anniversary Gala. The historic property is a true local gem, a picturesque setting for any celebration! The service was exceptional, it was a pleasure working with such a dedicated team of professionals. Food and beverage was also a big hit with the guests. read more

I was looking for a place that was just us and our guests. This is the perfect place. We were able to have the entire venue to ourselves. It's such a beautiful place and great for pictures. All our guests loved it! I want to thank Diane and Scotty for working with me so I can have my dream wedding. The venue also provided an in house coordinator for us who worked very well with my wedding coordinators. For the most part, everything went according to plan. There was a few minor hiccups but no one knew besides us. I would definitely recommend hiring the valet. Definitely didn't have to worry about the parking situation. I also went with the DJ and photographer recommended by the venue. They are both amazing. Our wedding package with the venue even came with a free cake. That was a pleasant surprise because it means it was one less thing the bride had to worry about. They didn't have tastings and that scared me at first. But I had a few friends that attended weddings there in the past and they loved the food. So I took a leap of faith. It turned out great. The food was perfect and all the staff was so nice. We did shopped around a few other venues before deciding and compared with quality and price, nothing beats Lindley Scott House. Here's our wedding video teaser so you can see how great the place looks! https://youtu.be/9z1F8O7mjVE read more

The Lindley Scott House is a very nice location to have a wedding, but the service is terrible. I went to a wedding recently here and those two coordinators are very rude. I had multiple interactions with them where they rolled their eyes at me and told me that I should take action in asking for discounts because some of the wedding services hired were running late. Mind you the whole wedding was running extremely late. When we arrived cocktail hour the staff weren't set up yet, and the food as well. Mind you they have teens serving you. One thing I did notice is you had underage kids serving you alcohol. This is when they had champagne and sparking apple cider being passed out. The teens do work hard and the coordinators have them running up in down. They are under a lot of pressure, especially with those two coordinators. Maybe they need a little bit of more training. The lady that owns the Lindley should defiantly hire new coordinators. I understand that places like this charge high prices, try to maximize, and make a profit out of their clients. At least the service should be touch notch. Location is a 5/5, but service 0/5. read more

The Lindley-Scott House was a fantastic venue for our May 2023 wedding. We had a beautful outside ceremony followed by an indoor reception all located on the property. Diane was a pleasure to work with and has a great sense of humor. They have a great list of preferred vendors that we largely selected from. The DJ, photographer, bakery, and officiant were familiar with the venue and provided excellent service. The price for the venue and vendors was on the lower end of the places we talked to. read more

This place is the best! We had our wedding here last week. From the beginning Diane was always communicating with me from start to finish. To George and to Scotty! Scotty made accommodations for our decorator and many other things the day before our wedding. He and the staff were very attentive and friendly! I can't wait to get our photos from our photographer so that I can post the scenery, so much greenery for great photos, so much parking space and the food was delicious. My husband and I, our families and friends were in awww about the way it turned out. Thank you Diane and staff for making our day so pleasant, we're extremely grateful. read more

Venue is AMAZING! Just got married 2 weeks ago. Let me lay out some specific pros and cons: Pros: Beautiful ceremony space, vintage house for pictures is beautiful, staff is friendly, food was great (we had chicken in creme with mash potato and asparagus) location allows access to whole property throughout the night, best prices for a wedding in Southern Cal. (Includes nice chairs, table linens, and all silverware) great location if you like lots of greenery for your wedding pictures Cons: a bit restrictive on what is and is not allowed(ex: set up of room is not negotiable and DJ MUST go front and center of room, no fog machine, sparklers, or real candles allowed in reception hall) short window for wedding (we paid extra hour for a 4-11 wedding time). Overall, I'm in love with Lindley Scott House and if I had to pick all over again I would definitely get married there again and again! read more

Honestly, we feel so grateful to have booked the Lindley Scott House. I booked Lindley Scott because of their amazing prices- it really is such a good price for everything that comes with booking this venue. The venue is gorgeous, the location is easy to get to, and the fact that we could have the ceremony and reception at the same place was great. Another plus was the handicap accessibility of this place- it was ideal for our older family members. From the moment I reached out through Wedding Wire, Diane was so helpful. We met with her to tour the grounds and she answered all of our questions (also she's so funny and sweet, we love her). We booked this venue over a year before the wedding, and all throughout the planning process- whenever I had questions or anything, Diane was there to help. We chose to get married at the arch area, as our wedding was in late July and the arch area is shaded. We didn't have to worry about chairs, or set up/clean up, linens, the cake, anything! All I had to do was book outside vendors for photography, DJ, and floral/decor. The fact that in house coordinators are provided is also so great. Diane was up front about what they do and don't do- we met with George for the rehearsal and it went really smoothly. He answered our questions and was great to work with. The day of, I got ready at a nearby hotel and we got to the venue at 4:30pm. Francesca was so sweet and helpful all throughout our time there. Our photographer took lots of pictures before the ceremony- of the bridal party, ceremony set up, etc. From there everything just went SO perfect. We had been told by family and friends to expect at least one thing to go wrong. It didn't. We felt supported and stress free the day of, because the multiple in house coordinators were working hard to ensure everything was flowing as it should. We got to be present with each other and our loved ones because we knew everything was being taken care of. The dinner was SO YUMMY. We did the tri tip or chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everyone loved it! Francesca was so attentive the whole time. She got me and my husband drinks, and I was so caught up in the evening that I didn't eat my dinner much. She offered to pack a fresh plate for me to go! And packed up some of our cake for us as well she would check in and see if we needed anything. It was so sweet. We felt so taken care of. It really was the happiest day of our lives so far and we are so thankful to Diane, George, Francesca, everyone at the Lindley Scott House that made our day! I saw someone mention the parking on here- it is tandem! We had the option of hiring a valet but instead let our guests know ahead of time the parking situation. It didn't end up being an issue at all. I saw someone else talking about the no open flames rule- it makes sense and I was kind of bummed that we couldn't have real candles, but I just got artificial tea lights in beautiful votives and they were gorgeous :) Also, photo credits go to our amazing photographer Josh! https://www.captivatexphoto.com/ read more

The venue is beautiful. The location a bit out-of-the-way from where most people live. The people running the venue were lovely. The service was really bad however. The tables weren't bussed after meals were finished. We were eating dessert with dinner dishes on the table. I don't understand this. I've never been to a wedding before where the service wasn't stellar. So if you're planning on having your wedding here, make sure you review the staff and the responsibilities. I actually brought my dishes into the kitchen from my table. Unless you ask, they don't serve coffee with dessert. read more

Lindley Scott House is a great cozy place for a wedding. Recently came here for a wedding. 2 houses are on the property. Yellow, older styled homes. The larger house sits has a front lawn where the ceremony was. The smaller house was where the reception was. Large front parking area. You self park. Double parking spaces. We had steak and salmon for the food. Both were pretty good for wedding food. Open bar sucked. Their selection for "premium" was terrible. Very cute location for a wedding venue! read more

From start to finish beginning with Diane our main contact person to Scott the day of coordinator to all the staff who served that day everyone we had contact with was very helpful, courteous, on time, and pleasant. The facilities and grounds were beautiful and immaculately cared for. Many of our guests complimented the food. Our dinner was fresh and delicious. I can not say enough great things about this place. First and foremost, the staff at The Lindley-Scott House were all amazing and friendly. My sister and I toured this venue with Dianne she is the most sweetest lady and gave us a great tour of the place. After our tour, there were no questions that this was the place we wanted to throw our parent's 40th wedding anniversary. About a week before our event, I received a call from George, and he went over with me the details and finalized our desired timeline. He was also so friendly and pleasant to speak with. The day of our event, I met Scott, who pretty much made us feel comfortable and offered any assistance if needed. During the whole event he was present and just made sure that everything was going well. He even offered my sister, my parents', and I complementary drinks. We really felt taken care of the whole night. Overall, our experience at The Lindley-Scott House was a breeze and amazing. I forgot to mention that the venue is beautiful, elegant, and clean, which we loved! Thank you, Dianne, George, and Scott, for a very wonderful and memorable experience. I look forward to booking with you guys again in the future!!! read more

Had a wonderful wedding here at Lindley..they don't charge venue but do charge every plate and 20% service fee which definitely added up. But dinner was delicious. Had a overall smooth time with the coordinator. Diane was communicative..she has a silly personality which I enjoyed. Beautiful pictures opportunity. Wish we had more time for pictures and some people did get confused at the closed gate on the other side..but idk not that big deal and we could have asked for more time for pictures. We had our church ceremony in Norwalk. One hour between was a good amount. read more

The owners son yelled at me for opening the door during the couples grand entrance. I was hired as their day of coordinator, to do things like...open the door for them and cue their grand entrance :) He was so livid his eyes were watering. He also convinced himself that I was late even though my contract with the couple was 2:30-8:30 pm & I arrived at 2:20 pm. The rules and "policies" are beyond me, the couple sat down to eat and at that moment were asked to empty the bridal suite. The bride told me that all day the venue owners were on her about different rules. Our photographer got told it "wasn't his time yet" when he tried to take detail shots. The venue doesn't care about the couple getting married. They care about their paycheck. That was made evident when the small owners son essentially stomped his little feet to and told me that their venue was worth 14 million dollars. I feel horrible for my couple who was mortified by the behavior! If you're considering this venue, as a full scale wedding planner I could show you a bunch more that won't treat you, your wedding party, or the staff you hire like trash. read more

I absolutely LOVED this venue!!! My husband and I initially wanted to get married in May of 2021 but because of covid we decided to postpone until November of 2021. The venue was extremely accommodating to this. No hassle or issues with them. Working with Diane was an absolute blast! She is very responsive and one the the sweetest people I've gotten to work with while planning my wedding. I must have asked her a million questions and she answered every one. The venue itself is gorgeous. I myself attended APU (which is across the street from the venue) for 4 years and I never even knew the place existed! It's as gorgeous as the photos. It really is like stepping in to another world when you enter the property. The bridal suite is gorgeous and roomy. The staircase is lovely. The staff are very friendly and nice. The ceremony area has lots of shade provided by a few large trees. The reception hall is roomy and while still being comfortable and roomy. (we had just under 100 guests). The food was very good as well for the reception. My husband and I were planning and paying for our wedding ourselves and we were worried we wouldn't be able to find a place that we liked within our budget. I was beyond pleasantly surprised with this place. It is very reasonably priced and it comes with many perks :). I cannot say how happy I am that we found this place! Not only was the house and reception hall beautiful, but also the grounds. The only thing you probably have to be ok with is the color yellow :D. Love LOVE LOVE! read more

The Lindley Scott House is an absolutely hidden gem. My guests could not believe it was located in Azusa. The venue is beautiful and elegant. Diane and George were amazing to work with and the day of assistants/coordinators were a dream. I didn't want or need for anything. One thing I was worried about was the food since you are unable to taste it beforehand; I didn't need to be. Everything was delicious and I received many compliments that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Is it innovative or trendy? No it's not. But it's classic and delicious and they served good portions. Please do not hesitate to book this special venue. I would re book again in a heartbeat. I came here for an evening wedding. As a guest, a food snob, and a recreational photographer, here are some thoughts.: The grounds were nicely kept, lots of green foliage The ceremony area is small and intimate, when the party walks down, the sun beads down for very difficult shots. Ideally, this place is good for parties around 100. The reception building is high, bright, and lots of light, so you don't really need to have a high power flash before it gets dark. The food is meh. The coconut on top of the wilted spinach citricy salad is a no no. It tasted like it has been sitting out. The rolls were hard as a paperweight. The steak, chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus were ok. The steak was tough on the outside and bloody on the inside. I think they seared it and just kept it in the oven. Was probably the same for the chicken, it had some kind of rosemary/curry type sauce which didn't complement the rest of the plate at all. The asparagus was done correctly tho. The wines here they had was from Lodi. Surprisingly good. The bar area had no sprits except for a house Soju, which they called it Vodka. Most connections were opposite of the wedding party on the far end. So if you are sitting by the DJ and they were showing a slide show, you pretty much will have to get yo ass up and walk over on the opposite side just to see it. Service was ok. It was mostly younger kids, I would say early 20s or late teens. Most of them were standing around and while I got up to see the slide show, one of them cleared my plate which I wasn't finished yet. It was difficult to get iced tea and water sometimes because we were the table farthest from the wedding party. The parking lot is small, you'll have to tandem park your car. Just make sure you are the one parked one outside. Overall, this is not a bad place if you are in the greater LA area and looking for a small venue. Wear something light because it gets hot. Use a hood for your lens and use a ultra wide lens if you can. read more

Update: As the date came closer, I found myself speaking to Diane more often, and I no longer felt like I was arguing over petty things, she made me feel confident in my decisions. And accommodated me fabulously. The wedding turned out fabulous, George the wedding coordinator was very professional, all my requests were met, everything was on time and they even accommodated me when I forgot to count myself in the wedding party for dinner. The stress went away after being reassured that things ran smoothly, and the music was on cue to a T. Great location and great service. My weddings going to be here and despite Diane ( the head honcho at lindleys) has tried to be helpful and gives very sweet complements , I think she has stressed me even more out. She Made some comments about how I'm changing things, and doing things last minute , saying I'm "all over the place." As a bride to be, I am nervous, and when I called to discuss multiple hypotheticals ( if a guest comes late or if a guest brings an uninvited guest) that it was at their discrestion to ask them to leave. Whats the big deal is an extra person comes late? especially when there not eating. (I was curious to how they would even know if a guest was invited or not) I thought it was a bit rude, my family is Mexican and sometimes they just dont know how to follow the rules.lol But seriously It makes me feel a little crappy and a bride shouldn't feel like that with her location. I hope my wedding goes smoothly. read more

This venue is nice for a small, intimate wedding. My cousin decided to have her wedding here on a Friday, due to costs. The sun was shining and the gardens were well kept. After the ceremony, we proceeded to the reception hall which was to the side of the main house. The food was ok. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't the best I've ever had either. We started off with dinner rolls and a Caesar salad. The entree was roasted chicken breast with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant. The chicken breast still had skin on it so it was ok, not dry but not that juicy. The cream sauce was an afterthought in case the chicken was too dry. I found myself dipping it more than I'd like. The asparagus was cooked nicely. The servers were dressed in maids uniforms which I thought was a little odd. They were constantly standing in the banquet hall against the wall as if they didn't have anything to do. It's rude to watch people eat! There were some technical difficulties with the DJ, photobooth, and microphones, but I imagine it wasn't anyone's fault but those working those electronics. There's plenty of light in the banquet hall for photos and videotaping. It wasn't the best wedding I've ever been to, but you get what you pay for I guess. read more

I got married at The Lindley Scott House on 5/21/10. I'm so glad we went with the LSH because they did not disappoint :) We first met with Diane. She's really funny and has such high energy. She was very pleasant to work with. The only downside is they do not do email so you have to call them for any questions. Which isn't the end of the world because Diane always answers everything ASAP. Prices were very reasonable at the LSH. You really get a bang for your buck at this place. The alcohol is a little pricey $18/bottle of wine, but then again most wedding locations charge a lot for the booze. We had a really good garden salad to start & then went with the rosemary chicken in cream sauce with garlic mash & asparagus... everyone LOVED the food. The food was served hot & it didn't look like "wedding food". They presentation was great! LSH provides the cake through a company called Some Crust Bakery. Some Crust Bakery made my DREAM cake. I LOVED it! LSH got new white chairs for the ceremony which were really nice. They keep their grounds really clean & the day wedding coordinator Leo is on top of everything. He makes sure everything is running smoothly & that the time-line is good. I really wasn't sure if I needed an additional coordinator/helper for the day of the wedding, but I'm glad i didn't get one bc Leo was more than enough help. Overall my expereince at the LSH was fantastic! read more
