It's a long drive for us but it's well worth it. She has done a fantastic job helping my toddler become confident to speak and practice sounds. He is now communicating much more clearly leading to less meltdowns and a happier kid! The Speech Therapists here truly care about children and work hard to help them practice their speech all while having fun. It has always been fun and the attitudes of the staff has always been pleasant and lighthearted. After nearly 12 months we are now at the point where we will be attending monthly instead of weekly because of how far my toddler has come in his speech development so I thought it was a good time to leave this beaming review. Without Brittany we would've been struggling for a long time to help our toddler and we are forever grateful for her efforts and skill that has resulted in his success. Thank you thank you! Due to my daughter getting sick and having to do some makeup speech therapy sessions we were able to pretty match me to whole Parkwood team. The people here are friendly and are willing to go out of their way to help with a child's development which definitely means a lot. The effort that they put into their therapy is definitely appreciated. I should also mention that the particular speech therapist that we had was Bella Klee although she got married so I believe her last name is different now. She is a great therapist who goes out of her way to make sure things get taken care of. He speaks like a parent to me, not a doctor who knows a whole lot more than me. Anytime I have brought him a concern, he never says or implies "that's a stupid question" or demeans me for asking it. He takes the time to really engage and explain everything. To me, that means the world because he cares for the two most important people in my world. I have met several of the nurses and they are always a pleasure to work with. I was actually really warmed by speaking to the triage nurse over the phone because she was SO kind, reassuring and answered EVERY question I had when I called in. When you're worried about your kiddo, THAT is exactly the kind of reassurance you need. I also really liked the emergency docs we have seen the two times we came in on emergent visits and didn't get to see Dr. J. I don't recall the names of the doctors we saw, but they were both female and both excellent. I appreciate that the medical staff is top notch. The staff in administration, is another story. I have never dealt with being billed for my "patient responsibility" and not having the front ask if I want to pay my balance when I check out; but getting a "collection letter." I got a statement requesting payment and 2 days later got a past due letter. I was less than pleased about that. They also seem to be a bit clueless on how to speak to people on the phone when they call in to schedule. If they could get the administration and billing staff to get it together and for the love of all things good, be professional to parents calling in, I could give them 5 stars. But the admin right now is just not the same level of excellence that the medical staff is.

My poor son was attending sh#thole (it happen only because I am European and was absolutly not prepared for service literally damaging people's health) for a little bit over year, having no any delays besides no speech. Over this year I had all possible issues getting information about what they teach him, no any activities which include parents, no any organized parental meeting, literally, by this day I have no ideas what my son was doing there. In few months red flags started showing up. For example, my son came home once without coat (in January), and later he came home few times being dressed not the way he left home. What's for somebody undressed my child for no reason?? Still hope, no sexual assault happened. Last drop was when child eventually started talking. After nobody responded to any of my mails about his progress and finally acquired desire to study I demanded permit to come and have a look with my own eyes, what they do to children. What I saw still makes me shake in hate and desperate anger: they don't teach kids anything. Few kids with different levels of disability were running chaoticly and like 3 obese employees tried to stop them from hurting themselves. That's all. They don't explain anything to kids, don't correct inappropriate behavior, don't even do any typical arts and crafts with kids. Just watching kids from hurting. That what I saw as a visitor, I guess, they were "prepared". What they do, when nobody sees, who knows! After I left classroom and shocked was standing in lobby, some employees told me following: "if you want your son to learn, you must go and find personal therapist". It took me freaking year to figure it out. My son lost a whole year which is so important at so young age! Besides that I must mention, that my poor son completely ruined his health there: he was and he is now a very healthy person, never been sick more than 4 days per year. During attending IE classes he never ever was good. He had to drink cold syrup like he drinks juice! Of course, it was the last time, any of us stepped into this hell. After I demanded my child's paperwork, I was shocked to find out, that they proceeded him as "mute", which he never was, and "aggressive" which is disgusting lie. My son never hurt anybody in his live, not a person, not an animal, moreover: he used to babysit his sister, when im busy around house, which is only few months old! He is the last person on earth to call "aggressive "! "Principal" if to call her so, told me, as her final goodbye:"you will need us to proceed your kid to disability". I wish her to get disability herself every day since after. As soon, as we got rid of them, my son made unbelievable progress: he stopped being sick all the time, started building sentences up to 10 words, responding questions, building dialogues, learned to draw, glue, work with scissors, learned to write, learned alphabet, learned his and ours names, ages, our address and many more. It happened in only 4 months and it happened against and in spite of all IE efforts to make him disabled, so, services, like them, can make profit. Be aware of Beaverton Early Intervention! If you love your child and care about his future, DO NOT GO TO IE!!!! Find help anywhere else and work yourself too!! Repeat: be aware of IE!!!! They make healthy people sick!!! Remarkable, that they turned off reviews on Google, after I posted mine. If I could give them negative, it would be -1000 out of 10 UPDATE!!!! BE AWARE OF FAKE POSITIVE REVIEW!!! Her first pediatrician was Dr. Audrey Unrau. She's now retired, but she provided excellent care for our little one, and now we find the same level of care and assurance with Dr. Rosborough. We've also come in to see a few other doctors and nurses for issues that needed immediate attention and all are professional, knowledgeable, and kind. It is rare that we experience long wait times, but the very few times we do, we were updated and given options to reschedule or stay. Our kiddo is very shy and doesn't easily warm up to new people and places at first. Both Dr. Unrau and Dr. Rosborough knew how to interact with our little one, making her feel comfortable while carrying on with exams. They're extremely patient and offer excellent advice. I never feel rushed with the list of questions I present them nor do I feel pressured to do anything I don't feel comfortable giving or practicing with my family. I've been able to get my kid in immediately when something like a mysterious rash suddenly pops up. I value the after-hours service too. Care shouldn't be limited to business hours and that's something they recognize. Talking to their nurses after hours has been very helpful in that they provide knowledgeable advice, assurance, and are able to schedule immediate appointments if necessary. The nurses are very patient. When my daughter was a young toddler, she was VERY fearful of the weight scales and height measurement ruler, and I really liked that nurses like Mia (sp?) were very understanding and patient. She told me she wanted to create positive experiences for my kid at the doctor's office, so she didn't want to push it too much with the eye and hearing tests before our exam. She offered other alternatives and offered another time to have it done. The rooms are bright and fun. The waiting room has fun fish tanks that my daughter always remembers and looks forward to seeing. We haven't experienced any rude staff and were never made to feel like we were another patient. We appreciate the level of care here and would recommend this place to others looking for a good care team for their kids. Other things worth mentioning: they have a great team of psychologists for all ages. When we needed some help with behavior regarding tantrums, potty training, and mealtime, Dr. Collin Dean provided very insightful advice to help us understand the developmental changes going on with our toddler.
