Dr. Unrau, Dr. Rosborough + Dr. Collin Dean (child psychologist) | Great staff | Great after-hours service We've been coming here since my daughter was born. She's now 4 years old. Her first pediatrician was Dr. Audrey Unrau. She's now retired, but she provided excellent care for our little one, and now we find the same level of care and assurance with Dr. Rosborough. We've also come in to see a few other doctors and nurses for issues that needed immediate attention and all are professional, knowledgeable, and kind. It is rare that we experience long wait times, but the very few times we do, we were updated and given options to reschedule or stay. Our kiddo is very shy and doesn't easily warm up to new people and places at first. Both Dr. Unrau and Dr. Rosborough knew how to interact with our little one, making her feel comfortable while carrying on with exams. They're extremely patient and offer excellent advice. I never feel rushed with the list of questions I present them nor do I feel pressured to do anything I don't feel comfortable giving or practicing with my family. I've been able to get my kid in immediately when something like a mysterious rash suddenly pops up. I value the after-hours service too. Care shouldn't be limited to business hours and that's something they recognize. Talking to their nurses after hours has been very helpful in that they provide knowledgeable advice, assurance, and are able to schedule immediate appointments if necessary. The nurses are very patient. When my daughter was a young toddler, she was VERY fearful of the weight scales and height measurement ruler, and I really liked that nurses like Mia (sp?) were very understanding and patient. She told me she wanted to create positive experiences for my kid at the doctor's office, so she didn't want to push it too much with the eye and hearing tests before our exam. She offered other alternatives and offered another time to have it done. The rooms are bright and fun. The waiting room has fun fish tanks that my daughter always remembers and looks forward to seeing. We haven't experienced any rude staff and were never made to feel like we were another patient. We appreciate the level of care here and would recommend this place to others looking for a good care team for their kids. Other things worth mentioning: they have a great team of psychologists for all ages. When we needed some help with behavior regarding tantrums, potty training, and mealtime, Dr. Collin Dean provided very insightful advice to help us understand the developmental changes going on with our toddler. All I want to say is everyone at TCC is amazing! Dr Armsby in particular has really great bedside manners, really attentive and patient! Any worry or anxiety is met without judgement. He's truly a wonderful pediatrician and I feel so luck we were referred to him by our Peds back in the Bay Area! Lydia the nurse is also super sweet! Pretty terrible experience here. Bethany Rosborough was very pushy about how to treat our child. She essentially said if we don't follow their schedule with minimal delays, that we would not be able to be their patient. No respect for parents and in the ability for parents to do their own research and make the best decision for their kids. Go somewhere else. Better yet, move to a state where parents are given data and a doctor recommendation, but a parent still gets to review it all and make the best decision for their kid. At the children's clinic, you just have a bunch of stuck up, rich and privileged doctors pushing you around. read more

The doctors at this clinic and the surrounding clinics are incredible. We have been seeing Dr. Carr for nearly 7 years now with our oldest and her two younger siblings. She has been an invaluable resource to helping our kids and maintaining their health. I am a worrier by nature and she has shown incredible patience for my questions and concerns while also answering them with great sincerity and seriousness. I have always left the clinic feeling empowered and like they are doing absolutely everything needed for my little one. Further, Dr. Carr has always been very good about handing off care for complex issues with specialists and has led us to the best specialists in the area. When my little had a feeding and swallowing issue, Dr. Carr referred us to one of the best specialists at Doernbechers and worked closely with the care plan to ensure we were taken care of. The care teams also do an incredible job of maintaining communication so if my child ever needed to see one of the partners there has never been a lapse in care or knowledge about my child's Health. read more

Dr Craft is an outstanding Pediatrician! I always feel like we are truly cared for and looked after by Dr Craft. His bedside manner is the best I've ever experienced. Both my sons see Dr. Smart at the Children's Clinic in Tualatin. I've been continually impressed with Dr. Smart, but also with the other doctors, nurses, and receptionists we interact with here. They are caring and helpful, knowledgeable, and very responsive. The office itself is very large and lovely - the waiting room is open, with a fish tank, books, and a small "play pit" good for crawlers and wobblers (and older kids who hop in and out as they wish). The portion with halls of exam rooms is huge, but it is always really easy to find your way to the exit; how do they do that? The fact that they are so many may be contributing to this, but there's never been a problem if we linger after an appointment to breastfeed the baby (which is often a good way to console after immunizations). The exam rooms are nice and most, maybe all that we've been in have a small chair suitable for the littlest walkers. There's sticker baskets at the exits, which is always a really nice bribe/reassurance to the little ones. read more

We have been with Dr. Craft for 14 years and he has been an amazing pediatrician. He takes the time to listen to all of your concerns and really lets the parent take an active role in the decision making for your child's medical plan. We have had plenty of opportunities to work with all of the doctors in the Tualatin and Portland office and they are all awesome. Excellent followup, a wonderful and convenient children's urgent care, and the after-hours nurse line is top-notch. Overall we couldn't have had a better experience with the entire Tualatin staff. read more

The doctors are great at this office and I enjoy taking my child there but the front office staff can be very rude and sound very much like bill collectors. They are only interested in collecting money money money and don't care that your kid is sick. read more

truly as good as it gets. our (i guess technically ms. k.'s) ob/gyn recommended dr. kilty at tcc after baby k. was born. thank god he did. dr. kilty is freaking awesome. i could see how he might not fit some people's personalities, but he couldn't fit ms. k. and me any better. on point, pragmatic, helpful, doesn't get let the little concerns get in the way of the big picture, and most importantly for me, is great around and to baby k. i can easily and safely say that there is nothing in this world more important to me than our baby's health, well-being, and future, and i absolutely couldn't ask for a better doc to help us do everything we can to make all those things as good as humanly possible. top notch. read more

Usually I don't write Yelp reviews, but today I happened to show up early for my appointment. Granted, it was just one vaccine, but they managed to get me in and out before my appointment was even supposed to start. The nurse giving me the shot was very nice - I don't like needles, does anyone? - and I was in and out in about fifteen minutes total. read more

The office staff is friendly & helpful, the nurses are caring and compassionate and the doctors really care about the well being of my children. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The lady at the front desk was rude making passive agressive comments. 4 nurses passed us in the hollway and not one of them made eye contact or had a friendly smile. The doctor we saw ( dont know her name because i just dont care to ever go there again) didnt make my son feel comfortable, she just started touching him and ofcourse he wasnt having it. She rushed the appointment. Every single person in there acted if they hated their job. As a customer that pays alot of money for my childs health care i expect some damn customer service. Absolutely not impressed and definitely would never take my child here again. read more

All other Portland area pediatric offices have had the flu shots available to their patients since October, but it's now December and the Children's Clinic still won't give the shots to healthy kids (unless they are already scheduled to go in for a different matter such as a well health appointment or illness). Since the flu is already cropping up (and KILLS healthy kids in the US every year), we're switching to a pediatric office that can provide this vital protection to our child(and doesn't tell us to just take him to Safeway or Target, which isn't exactly a kid friendly experience). Probably Metropolitan Pediatrics (which is also a Tier 3 practice), or maybe Sunset Pediatrics, which I've heard great things about.... read more
