Worst in town. Very rude to clients like they are doing us a favor for fixing nails that we pay for.

I went and spent over $170 for pedi and my manicure. Wanted it to be my spot because the location! They hurt me when they do their work and my hands still hurt after though! They are really r on their work! understand they they want their clients but same time they want to just get them out as soon as they can too. I have been to many nail salons before and this is the worst yet. Me and my mom were here for 3 hours for a full set and a fill. They kept on starting our nails and then would move us to another seat for someone us to do them, and that person would basically do nothing and then we would get moved again. Nothing here is organized nor do they know how to manage their clients. If you wanted to get a quick manicure this is not the place to go at all. I was so lucky to meet Linda on this one trip that I took to Santa Fe from seattle...My nails were in desperate need of a re-gelling and my toenails looked so messed up. I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to do so. I had a less than satisfactory experience on Thursday at the Coronado location. Apart from the fact that 3 of my nails are already peeling (this was a gel manicure), the woman was so rough she drew blood twice. I should have walked out after the 2nd injury but I get manicures so infrequently and I really wanted my nails to look nice for a trip. I will NEVER go back there. I get a lot of manicures and pedicures and I think of nail salons as utilitarian instead of spas. This one stands out for a couple of key reasons: Quickly served - sat down at 4:10 and left at 5:20 with a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure They worked as a team...one person wrapped my nails to take off the old polish, another guy came by and took the polish off - all while I was getting my pedicure. Seemed really clean - there were stacks of boxes where people had their own nail kit ready when they came back. If I lived in the area, Mia would get my business on the regular. read more

THE WORST NAIL SHOP. They barely filed my acrylic nails. Had bumps, unevenness and crooked nails. Then they only painted a part of the nails and left huge gaps and when I asked if they could fix it the lady gave attitude and was definitely talking crap to the other employees about me. Well... I didn't think that a Mani/Pedi would happen so quick and I very much looking forward to it being a relaxing experience... Unfortunately it really wasn't. I came here as a walk in and even though the staff was quite friendly, they were a bit abrasive when demanding that I wash my hands immediately upon entry... After getting over it I could tell that not a lot of care and detail was taken into my feet and hands. It felt like she was really rushing through it. I had the nicest time at Linda Nails. The lady who did my pedicure was Ti and she was an absolute gem! She was sweet and lovely. Her attention to detail could not be beat. She made my toes look beautiful! Like a real fancy lady. I loved seeing all the other customers having a wonderful time getting all done up with their airbrushed nails. Someone brought their 7 year old daughter in and even she got a pedicure with bright green toes. When I left I felt like a real pampered lady. Ugh I hate writing negative reviews but there's so much that was just not okay with my visit here. I don't live in the area and just had some time to kill so I decided to get a fill and a gel pedi. This was in the shopping center I was in and it was pretty packed for a Saturday so I figured it was popular enough to trust. I was seated in a pedicure chair right away and given the gel colors to choose from. They had SO many options it was almost overwhelming ha. I waited for about 20 minutes on the chair without any water in the tub until they moved me to a table to start my nails. The man who was doing my powder was rude, rushed, and did a poor job. They moved me over to a lady who seemed to be the owner. I asked to have my cuticles cleaned which I was told would be an extra $10. Ok fine whatever. She did such a HORRENDOUS job with my cuticles, it looked like there was no powder between my cuticles and acrylic as if I still needed to get them done, even after she painted them they were the worst things I had ever seen (refer to pic of the hot pink color). I NEVER do this but I literally had her redo them all. She did a much better job the second time (picture of the mauve color). I just don't believe she thought that the first results were ok. As a business owner, I care about every service that has my name on it and I suggest that this place cares a bit more. read more

I have never been treated with such disrespect at a business in my entire life! I went in on a Thursday and got a full set, it was my second time at this business, and I asked for the woman to draw a heart on my nail and it turned out like a child drew it and I asked her to fix it but I guess she didn't hear me. I was in a hurry so I just left. I live 40 miles out of SF so I can't just drop everything to return back to the salon and get it fixed the next day, I can't just drop everything to get my nails done. So then I returned the following Wednesday and asked her to please fix it, and she called me a liar and wanted to charge me $3 for her mistake! And refused to fix it until I brought my mom in with me and she argued with them until finally they agreed to fix it. ( I should add that I have severe anxiety and I ended up crying and shaking proceeding to walk out to calm down) I don't recommend this place to anyone! And I for sure will NEVER return to Linda's nails where they treat their customers awful. Also, my mom sat by me while she drew the heart on my nail and then she decided to smile and be nicer. I've had my nails done twice here. First time was by Jimmy. I asked for a full set, acrylic. I desired a natural look, not too long, squoval shape. Jimmy showed me a sample mannequin nail and it was the exact shade I wanted. I showed him a,picture of length. Long story short, Jimmy had my tips and acrylic on in no time. It was the exact color I wanted, the shape and length were absolutely perfect. Jimmy obviously has years of experience and he was also very nice. Went in today for a manicure and fill, Thena did my nails this time as Jimmy was busy. She did a great manicure, got my fill done in no time, all with great care and she was very friendly and sweet. I love my nails from Linda's. They're a natural look, I like a neutral look on my nails most of the time so these are absolutely perfect. I believe I've found my nail salon. And why pay over $60+ when you can go to Linda's for less? (Although there are some things they don't do on nails, so ask ahead of time). But I'm totally pleased and my husband really likes my nails as well. read more

UNSANITARY!!!! My Mom and I had an appointment to get pedicures today. When we arrived there were 4 people waiting that ended up walking out 10 minutes after we arrived. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes past our appointment time for our pedicures to even get started. Which was just the beginning of our troubles. The man that was doing my pedicure, even after I told him please barely file my nails decided to clip all of them even shorter which caused me pain. (During the winter I keep my nails short because I ski 140+ days a year) I told him was hurting me and even yanked my foot away more then once, and yet he continued to do what he was doing. The message was terrible he only rubbed my legs and didn't even rub my feet (annoying.) After we left my mom informed me that the person doing her pedicure had taken the toe spacers off another client and then reused them on her. I wish she would have told me this because I would have said something. I am a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist in 3 states, including New Mexico and know that doing this is against the law. Not to mention I think everyone knows that is gross and unsanitary. When we got home we ended up wiping down our feet with hydrogen peroxide, alcohol and washing them with anti bacterial soap. If they do that with toe spacers, I don't even want to imagine what their sanitizing procedures are like for rest of their equipment. Don't come here unless you want to catch a disease. I have been having my nails done many times at this location but the last time was exactly that "the last time ", after waiting patiently in my car and standing at the door to be one of the first customers, the owner rudely told me. "why don't you come back tomorrow, we're busy " . I explained to her that as usual I was waiting for them to open, and I was not leaving after waiting 20 minutes. She said nothing more but treated me rude throughout my visit not saying anything. It was my first time going to Linda's. My daughter and I both got full sets of acrylics. Loving the prices! Basic price was $33, which I paid for my daughter's set. Mine were a little more because I got designs on two of my nails. Both sets were beautiful. They were $38. Linda did my nails. She was sweet, friendly, and kind. The other two staff were also very nice. Their card reader was broken unfortunately so I had to have cash, but my experience was so good I didn't even care that I had to run to the ATM real quick. When I got home I noticed that my thumb was cut. Some extra acrylic was cutting into my skin and I think she sliced it when filling. She accidentally broke the skin on my pinky, too. My skin is really dry, tho, so I think it cuts easily. read more

HORRIBLE! Dirty and chaotic. I wanted a manicure and Powder polish to avoid UV light. They had me pick color by jar-no samples. Not wanting to be a problem- I picked what I thought was a powder pink (in jar- it was) and had it done. Turned out nothing like the powder! Tech was good at application but did not use the powder finish- he used a clear gel with UV light. The place was filthy and chaotic. They did not do the manicure; they only applied powder and the gel finish they did for top coat began peeling off within hours. I paid $65.00 for myself and daughter. Both with same results. There was more but you get the idea; this place is horrible. Adding to review: 24 hours later- powder color is chipping off now. read more

Linda is terrible. She speeds through the pedicure giving you the feeling she is always in a hurry. What's worse is she spends most of the time talking on the phone when working on customers. This has happened to me more than once. I've never been so depressed after dropping $50 (with a tip) on nails that I wasn't satisfied with. I asked for square tips and was left with DUCK NAILS. TWO HOUR WAIT (they said 15- 45) The acrylic application was VERY thick and made my nail beds seem fat. When I asked for an "ombré set" worker looks at me annoyed after I asked for a glitter coat too. He tries to trick me into thinking I'm done and PUTS OIL ON MY HANDS after buffing (keep in mind I STILL need my glitter polish) he then acts surprised. I used to do acrylic nails at home and know there could've been SO MANNNNY ways to have prevented my nail shape from getting so thick.. Everything seemed rush and felt like only one person knew how to do nails. EVERYONE had to WAIT for the ONLY NAIL TECH to finish every other set cause he was the only one who knew how to do nails... Why hire all these people and they don't even know how to apply acrylic or do other designs besides one color? Makes it so much harder on skilled employees. I recommend staying loyal to your nail tech or you'll end up wasting your money and TIME like me... read more

I dont understand why there are so many negative reviews. They took me right away for a mani/pedi. The establishment was clean and professional. The employees were kind. Yes the spoke their native language, but that is their right. Some people may get offended, but those people are probably insecure and worry they are being talked about. Prices were reasonable. The massages could have used a little more pressure, but over all I had a great experience. I plan on becoming a returning customer. read more

I was so disappointed by my experience at this salon that I had to leave a review. Just upon walking in, the fumes are almost unbearable because there is no air circulation. They told me to pick out a color and I could already tell by the brands they carry that this would not be a long- lasting gel manicure. Then, the manicurist put lotion on my hands as the first step in the process! By the time I noticed what was happening, it was already too late. My nails were chipping off a day later and completely off in a week. I am new to the area and I went here because they seemed to have the most flexible hours and they allow walk-ins.
