Twice in the recent psst, I have drawn the same nail tech for a manicure/pedicure. ...unfortunately. The tech was the eldest member of their staff. She was rough with a capital R. I was like ouch and yikes. When it was time to get my manicure, she looked at me and said "money". I understand that there may have been a language barrier. I asked if she wanted me to pay. She nodded her head. I left less than a 20% tip...and she acted upset. I don't feel like I received a 20% tip service. I need to find another place. read more

This place reminds me of a factory. I have been there before but stopped going because I wanted somewhere closer to home. I went today because I was given a gift certificate for a pedicure. I arrived on time and didn.t have to wait. The technician Jasmine was very abrupt. She acted like she was in a hurry. The pedicure was fine nothing special. She did address my ingrown toenails..none too gently. She did not ascort me to the dryer. Just pointed and said it's overthrew. Maybe she is pleasant to her regular clients. Other techs I have encountered there have always at least had a smile on their face. Won,t go back. I almost tipped her but then decided why bother since she made me feel as if I was wasting her time. read more

I had my first appointment 2 1/2 weeks ago, just went back for my fill. I saw Santee both times. He does AMAZING work. I prefer the natural look w/my acrylics & I love the shape he helped me pick as I usually do the "squoval" shape, this one is much better & more feminine looking. Santee is both pleasant & funny to chat with. They do get busy so try and call ahead for an appointment. I'm glad I gave this salon a try! read more

They have a voicemail message saying "leave your name and number and we'll call you back to make an appointment"......no one calls back. I tried to walk in and they tell you to go to the mall. After years and years of going to this salon I made an app after not going back because of the front desk woman. And I thought I would try it again. Well it happened again! She messed up my app and when I tried to make another app she told me that I would be happier going somewhere else. For no reason, no apology. Her ego got in the way of a client who would not only make future apps but refer people to their business. It's very confusing to why people think that conducting business like this is ok. Although the one other time that I came to the salon, they did a great job. You have to realize that you will be bugged daily with reminders to come on time and if you cancel after 24 hours prior to your appointment you'll be charged. Today just a few hours before my appointment they canceled my appointment. In other words, it's all about them. read more

I've been a client here for years. The service is absolutely amazing. Why? Here are the reasons. 1) Takes and honors appointments. I'm a busy professional who doesn't have time for long waits at walk-in nail salons. I'm able to book out far in advance without hassle or problems. My appointment will not be pushed back due to a random walk-in. This is a huge deal for me. 2) Professional and friendly staff. I am a regular client and all staff who have worked to keep my fingers and toes beautiful are extremely personable. 3) Extremely Clean. Surfaces are wiped down and sanitized after each client and staff wear masks. Clients are asked to sanitize hands upon arrival. 4) Excellent customer service. Not like your usual salon that has the nail technicians answer the phone and multi-task while working on nails. This is a busy salon with an actual receptionist that will help you schedule appointments and cash you out. You get the undivided attention of the nail techs and the receptionist. 5)Know their clients. If you are a regular here, they know who you are, what you're looking for and are willing to help out. 6)Excellent and beautiful nails. Last but, not least --- the work is awesome and no complaints and very rarely have issues with my acrylic nails. Wide selection of gel and regular polish as well as dips. I have my favorites..... I would give this place more stars if I could. I don't usually give 5 star ratings but, it's time to give credit where it is necessary. Best Mani/ Pedi/ dip manicure in town. The facility is very clean and a pleasure to visit. Big shout out to Sunny! She has the arduous task of booking and scheduling a VERY busy salon/spa and she is just great! It's nice to have a place in town that.. 1. Honors appointments!!!. If I take the time to call a week or two ahead to schedule an appointment..I had BETTER have an appointment at that time. Serenity is super professional about appointments! Other nail salons in town look at you like they are shocked as to why you are there.... you may say, " I have an appointment at 11:00" .. their response.. I've had lots of manicures and pedicures in Orange County, CA and one in New Orleans. I went to one place here in Santa Fe before finding Serenity and have been going about every 2 - 3 weeks for several months now. I've gotten the very best manicures ever. My nails are extremely thin and brittle, but they're able to strengthen them so that my nails are much less likely to break and the polish lasts from appointment to appointment. The staff is polite and professional. Everyone speaks English which is also nice. Because of their stellar performance, they have a large clientele and you usually have to book appointments a couple of weeks in advance. read more

I love this place. Everything was spotless and you can tell that they take all Covid protocols seriously. Everyone had a mask and gloves. The chairs and other surfaces were wiped with disinfect spray after each client. A lot of places do these things in a cursory and haphazard way, but here they are very careful and conscientious, I had a signature pedi and it was heavenly. It had been almost 10 months since my last visit to a nail salon and Jasmine did a fantastic job. The manicure was also excellent. I was able to make an appointment in the morning for that afternoon. I haven't had a set of nails since 2010 for my wedding. I'm pregnant and I've felt horrible recently due to my hormone imbalance. It was nice to go out and feel pampered, I don't remember the name of the lady who did my nails, but she did a really good job and exceeded my expectations of what I wanted. She did a nice short claw/almond shape which is what has been in style lately. I chose a color changing gel paint(changes with temperature it seems)that looks nice! I was visiting Santa Fe for a fun girls trip and wanted to pamper my friend for her birthday. Saw the great reviews for Serenity and got an appointment super quick. I wasn't disappointed. The nail spa is clean and friendly, with affordable prices. We got the pedicure with sugar scrub, and it was quite enjoyable at only $30. The basic pedicure is only $25. Where else can you go at those prices? The nail technicians did a nice job on the polish and were polite, attentive and extremely professional. I loved how they all seemed to know their customers by name and the fact that customers weren't packed in there like sardines being turned over like cattle. Also, I appreciated the fact that they seem to have a dedicated receptionist as a central hub for communication and processing appointments and payments. Walk ins are not welcome. My two daughters and I walked in on a Thursday morning 30 minutes after opening...there were two customers in the salon and plenty of open chairs. The man behind the counter told me that they were all booked for the day and wouldn't be able to take us. He told us we could go across the street to the mall, that there was a nail salon inside that takes walk ins. So I specifically asked him if his salon takes walk ins and he said "no." So this is my second pedicure experiment in Santa Fe. Not going back, can't make me, no price is worth my health. These folks are very close to my house and I needed a quick pedi so I called and made an appt. They were nice, I showed up on time and they seated me on time. They had a good selection of nail polish colors (OPI), those nice chairs that massage you while you are getting your work done, and some good trashy mags to read. They also did a very good job on my pedicure, the leg massage was OK but not the best. The charged me an extra $5 for the extra skin removal they required (and they pulled out this crazy and kinda scary automated circular saw, I mean buffer, to do it with). There's gotta be a better way to position it than they did, but I'm over them announcing to everyone in the establishment that my feet were in terrible shape - that's fine. So-o why the two stars when everything seemed like it went ok? 'Cause the chemicals that I breathed for that hour will give me cancer next year...seriously I could hardly breathe in there, they had the front door opened a crack but even when I just walked in it smelled like I was leaning over a huge nail polish remover vat and splashing it on my face. That can't be healthy for me, or more importantly for the employees who breathe it in all day EVERY day. I'm still on the lookout and still willing to pay to get a good pedi in a healthy environment. I don't feel right about doing business with a company who has so little regard for the health of their employees. read more

I went here on a recommendation from a friend. I got a gel manicure, and took a photo from NY fashion week for them to use as a guide for the art. The manicurist was pretty friendly, but the manicure didn't turn out well, very lumpy. So I call back later that day asking them to re-do it. They say ok, and I go for my appointment for them to fix the bad manicure. While I'm getting it done, the receptionist informs me that I will have to pay for them to be redone at a fee of $20, when I had already spend $43 for the poorly done manicure earlier that afternoon, plus a tip, so was less than happy to hear that I would have to pay more just to have my nails look decent. The manicurist could see I was a little unhappy that I was having to pay more, so she charged me only $5, but still, should not have been charged anything to have them fix a poorly done manicure. I did call and speak with the owner the next day, he was apologetic but offered no restitution or anything for the poor service. read more

I just move back to Santa Fe from Denver I needed a good place to do my nails. This place had great reviews on yelp and was hard to get in with because they're so booked. I got an appointment and went in for an acrylic fill the girl did a great job but the very first thing I noticed and couldn't stop noticing the entire time I was in there was how filthy the place was. I watch people because I work in this industry and I know what sanitation looks like. None of the tools came out of bags that should've been in the sterilizer. All the dirty tools went back in the drawers and I can guarantee they're not gonna take them out after and sanitize before the next person. No liners in the tub's and just overall unclean. I found ocean nails on Airport Road and everything they do is sanitary. I will not be going back to this location. read more
