This lovely B & B was a terrific idea. I had passed through Austin about four years ago…read more(pre-Covid) and thought the town was a cute historic mining town to check out sometime in the future. So I planned an un-plug couple of days for my wife and I to celebrate an anniversary. We arrived at about 4 PM and were greeted by the owners working on a yard project to maintain this building that is more than 150 years old. We were able to take a quick nap before heading out for the evening meal. The Emma Suite was entered with no more than one step up to the house threshold from the exterior patio landing. We entered into a private suite to the left of the entry. I was a four-poster King size bed that was very comfortable. Also included was a private refrigerator, a corner fire place and an air conditioner. Several very nice antiques were included in the historical decor. The private bathroom was very nicely updated with a double sink and a walk in shower with overhead shower head. What an extremely comfortable night. The morning was begun with a specially made breakfast of sourdough blue berry pancakes and sausage with fresh brewed coffee. If you want a relaxing stay with great ambience, try this Bed and Breakfast.

I found this B&B in a google search and after talking to the proprietor I was certain that it would be a good experience. We arrived and our room was waiting for us. Nice suite. Very comfortable bed and lounging area in the room. In suite bathroom that has dual sinks and a very nice shower. Breakfast is at 8am. The breakfasts are pretty standard American breakfasts and are really very good home cooked meals. There is a large living room parlor area for hanging out and to visit with other guests. All in all a very quiet and comfortable place. Did I say quiet? I highly recommend this place if you are going to be staying in Austin.

Also, the water pressure in the shower was excellent. They are also pet-friendly! Note that they closed the hot tub, supposedly due to Covid (but that's not stopping other hotels in NV.) As is very common right now, the desk staffer in the morning was new to her job. She was unable to get the coffee going in the breakfast area, but there was a coffeemaker in our room so that helped. The town of Eureka was very friendly and we enjoyed taking a quick historical walk on our own.

We chose the Inn because it is pet friendly, but as it turns out, it is also quite a nice diamond in the (rural) rough of the Hwy 50 Nevada desert route. The rooms are slightly larger than current conventional hotels (maybe 300 sq ft?), clean, and reflect a past western era. The hotel is very well maintained, has a laundry, and a small fitness area. Walking of pets can be done behind the Inn along a back street. They offer a complimentary breakfast. For lunch or dinner, this small (~450 population) town has a few eateries to choose from. I would recommend you ask the hotel Mgr for suggestions (we did not have time to visit any of them).
