I've been to this store over 50 times since it opened and for years have frequented the OG Lincoln…read moreMarket at (33 Lincoln Road) so I feel ready to write a very complete and thorough review. This store is spacious with a (mostly) very easy to navigate layout. I've only been 2 or 3 times when it's pretty packed and even then it was still not difficult to get around. The store is usually well stocked and has great variety but randomly will be out of pretty basic poultry like ground turkey or chicken thighs. That's the good. Now my issues: the cashiers can't bag for crap and often just won't. I'm not asking for Trader Joe's level of packing organization, but multiple times a cashier has put milk or soda cans ON TOP OF EGGS!!! WHAT?! Or put heavy cans on delicate produce. They'll pack bags with no consideration for weight or thought about how the customer is supposed to get these bags home. I'm happy to pay for extra bags, and there's no reason I should have one precariously packed 60 pound bag or two bags one 50 pounds the other 3 pounds. There's no logic going into it. And that's if you buy bags. If you bring your own bag, oh you're packing everything yourself. Even if you bought $200 worth of groceries it's your job to put them all on the conveyor belt pay and then run over and hurriedly pack the bags as they shove your items to the end of the scanner belt all willy nilly. And then frown at you for being in the way when there's another customer behind you. And look, I don't really blame them. I don't think they were trained how to do anything but scan. And I desperately think leadership needs to rethink that practice to improve overall customer experience. Even worse than the bagging, I've been racially profiled here. I was using self checkout for like 5 items and a woman ran over to me and said, "I saw you! You didn't scan that as organic! That's organic!" I replied, "it's not organic. And showed her the sticker." She pushed me out of the way and rescanned it and then was like, "Fine." She didn't say sorry or my mistake she just aggressively accused me of stealing and then went about her day. Terrible customer service from security. I've never had these issues at the 33 Lincoln Road Lincoln Market, which although smaller, is such a well-run store. I'm hoping this grocery store steps it up, but for now it's just fine. Spacious. Clean. Pricey. Troubling Customer Service.

The wide selection of seafood, the freshes greens, the friendly stuff who took care of me and assisted me with their knowledge about veggies and fruits, the homeless guy outside, the other customers, the lightning or the dozen of plastic bags I've received for free, one great thing followed the other and before I forget and I actually almost couldn't find it, the selection of CHEESE, just out of this world! For me as native swiss this was obviously the highlight of the week! She, the young cashier, would definitely deserve a tip, for the reason that she can keep maintaining her long fake fingernails, each of them had a different color and was perfectly shaped and definitely inconvenient to operate anything with it. I remember so hyped when I first saw this supermarket opened in my neighborhood. I was like now I…read moredon't need to stick to Food Bazaar. When I went inside, I immediately was disappointed. I thought it would be hipster and trendy inside. I did not realize the interior decor would look like one of those supermarkets like Bravo or Associated with bright white lights and narrow and tight aisles. The supermarket outside looked hipster and trendy. Also I got a problem with the gate outside of the supermarket. I got a baby stroller and several times I tried to go inside with the stroller and the gate entrance was just too tight. Also my shopping cart couldn't even fit! I did not realize that they did not know how measure the gate entrance before constructing it. I wish they renovate it or fix that problem soon because I cannot go inside. One thing I like about this supermarket is the charcoal water they got. I needed charcoal water immediately one day and they had it by the entrance. I immediately bought it and chugged it. It was somewhat pricey and I knew it was pricey because nobody touched that stuff. There were too many bottles in stock. I wonder how they make money when all the items are mostly in stock in each aisle. Luckily I check the expiration date to make sure they not expired. Also there aren't any self checkout kiosks. Hopefully they can expand on that. Also especially the gate entrance needs to have a bigger space for strollers. I would be happy if they got that fixed soon.

Like many, I was super excited to have a natural mini market open within walking distance of my…read morehome. I had been in this market several times and was happy with the selection and the service. That was until last week. I went in the store last week to order on omelet. I asked the disgruntled man behind the counter for an omelet with Turkey bacon and American cheese. He asked me what kind of omelet I wanted. I was confused because I had just told him the type of omelet I wanted. I repeated my order, and the gentleman began to "school" me on what exactly on omelet was. Aside from the fact that he was wrong, I repeated my order. He gave me whatever he wanted and I left. I went in today, and the same disgruntled man was behind the counter. I stood there for a minute waiting for him to acknowledge me. He then came to the counter, took his headphones out of his ear, and begrudgingly asked me what I wanted. I repeated the same order from last week. And the we had the same disagreement. His unwillingness to just give me what I ordered and his innate need to "school" me incorrectly caused me to say "forget it." I grabbed my coffee and left. So here's the thing, I will NEVER go back to this store again (and neither will anyone I know) simply because the man behind the deli counter is rude, condescending, and unaware that the customer is always right. All he had to do was give me what I wanted. I guess I wasn't the type of customer he wanted to serve this morning, because he was quite pleasant to others, but I digress. Nonetheless, I won't be going back there. If I am supporting your business, the very least you can do for me is be nice. So while the store itself and its contents are appealing, I will not go back because the service is disappointing, to say the least. I would give less than 1 star if I could, because service is of the utmost importance to me; they fail in this category. But good luck; you would fare better by getting rid of the guy behind the service counter...he diminishes the appeal.
