I have probably given Lincoln market thousands of dollars at this point because they are one of the only places in bed stuy that have so many vegan options within walking distance. We don't have Whole Foods or target or TJ in these parts, so we vegans should all be so grateful for this place. Yes there are up marked prices here but just don't buy it then. They have weekly flyers with deals. They email deals too. Every grocery store in our neighborhood has crazy prizes. You just need to do your homework. Why have even cashiers honestly! They don't bag your groceries and have the nerve to have a tip jar at the register , it's actually comical at this point as I've been living across the street for 6 years. Even got a manager involved once because I asked the cashier if she could bag my groceries, he apologized but NOTHING HAS CHANGED. The grocery prices are out of control expensive ( they always have items priced wrong so I like to watch the prices but instead I'm busy bagging my own groceries) and they will start ringing the next person out before your groceries are even bagged. When I want to feel Bougie I shop at Lincoln market. Their sales are fantastic, the other day I got 10 avocados at a dollar a piece. Some decent quality chuck steak for 5.99 a lb. The staff, cashiers especially, are super friendly and if the pricing is off quick to accommodate. Their selection is insane. Regular prices can be astronomical. read more

I've shopped at this Lincoln market for almost two years and it's always been overpriced but well stocked and convenient. Today I went in and bought a bottle of olive oil. When I placed it in my bag, it clinked against a bottle of wine I had purchased at another store. The security guard came over and not only accused me of stealing, but reached into my bag and examined my wine bottle. They don't even sell wine there! Lost a customer today, they should think twice before accusing regular customers of stealing. read more

Reminds me of a very good small chain of grocery stores back home in the Milwaukee metropolitan area named Sendik's. Very insistent on providing good quality food and service. Shopping at the Lincoln Market was a special treat I did not expect to experience while visiting Brooklyn. Kudos! read more

When I was checking out, (who I assume is) the manager (or owner of the store- the man that is always at the front of the store) was blocking my pathway to swipe my credit card. The employee helping me commented that he was in my way, and he threw up his arms and began to yell at and mock me. "OH, you want six feet!" he says "My hands are clean, we can do six feet though!!!" etc. proceeding to make a show of going across the way and yelling at me. He never wears a mask, and this is the first day I had seen him wear gloves, non-disposable. I replied that it was just as much to keep him safe from me, a just-in-case measure and that I was just following CDC guidelines. He continued to make inappropriate remarks at me on my way out of the store. This is not only harassment but an extremely unsafe amount of disregard for a global pandemic. This manager believes he isn't infecting those coming into the store that day, which may be true, but he is exercising blatant disregard about how public this space is and what could be passing through its air each day. If he does not clean up his act and set a better example for his employees to follow CDC guidelines too, he could be responsible for spreading illness to people who don't even step foot in his store. The produce is fresh, the store is always stocked and well organized, and the workers are lovely, respectful, clean and careful and I really appreciate their commitment during a time of global crisis. However my review today has to do with the manager being blatantly rude, disrespectful, and frankly unsafe regarding a matter that cannot afford to be taken lightly- thus warranting my poor review. read more

Disappointed that about half of the employees and the manager aren't wearing masks, and if they are, they are merely chin straps. Put your mouth and nose in your mask! very petty employees, i ordered a ham & cheese sandwich with 1 slice of cheese and the guy gave me ONLY one slice of ham and charged me $8. i went back to get it right and they argued saying i ordered it that way, when i asked WHY then he would charge me $8 he said thats the price for a ham & cheese sandwich. smh management did not help much, next time i went i was left waiting and ignored by the deli workers, so i left and WILL NEVER go back. i dont need to be treated that way by anyone, especially when my money is just as green as anyone else's. read more

I used to frequent this market. Tge prices ate not cheap, however it does have a decent variety. Went there a couple days ago and was shocked at how little they care about Covid19. About a quarter of customers have NO masks or other PPE. This is a very narrow market with barely any space to navigate. This is absurd. Several employees were doing the 'chinstrap' with their masks. Which is pathetic. Never going back. Other nearby markets enforce PPE use by customers and staff. Lincoln has no regard for the people they serve. read more

This is a review about the Manager or Owner who stands at the front: The staff at the store are typically friendly and doing their best. Always got on their PPE and probably aren't even earning hazard pay for this. However, today I was in line when I watched the Manager or Owner publicly berate and shame one of the employees who happened to get into a line that was empty. The manager went off about how she should get behind all the customers in a different line, even though no one was in that particular line. This isn't a debate about the policy, I don't know it. However, instead of talking to the employee afterwards or quietly he yelled and screamed at her in a humiliating way for every customer and co-worker to hear and see. She calmly did not respond to him and then he yelled that she was getting written up. Being a visibly white guy yelling at his black employees in Bed-Stuy is not gonna fly. The Manager should be the one getting written up for blatantly unprofessional, disrespectful, and disgusting behavior towards the people he works with. If he doesn't clean up his act soon I will stop going here and will ensure none of my neighbors go either. read more

Really appreciate this place opening in the neighborhood but beware almost everything is incorrectly priced. They have sale signs throughout the store but when you get to checkout you'll be charged full price. This happens on regular priced items all the time too. read more

I really love this market. I've been living in the neighborhood for almost 4 years now and there hasn't been anything like this here in all of that time. Finally a market in my neighborhood that has everything I could possibly want and more. It's so exciting! I suppose it's true that prices are slightly higher than what the neighborhood might be used to, but as I said the quality and service is so much higher than anything else in the immediate area that it more than makes up for whatever price increase there is. Tons of organic products beautiful displays, very well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'm thrilled to welcome Lincoln Market to the neighborhood and I hope it stays for a long time to come! read more

Damn your navel oranges. Every time I get one it's off. No flavor just plain dull and off and tastes terrible. All of them are duds the last 20 I bought that is. I hoped and hoped you would improve but it's like you bought a giant tub of them and they sit there for weeks. Other than that the place is good and has most of what I need. I often shop here multiple times a day since I make recipes for a living. I spend the majority of my money in this store. The majority of my money in life, not just on food. Today they sold me expired peanut butter. I had purchased peanut butter, green onions, and cilantro. I didn't get a receipt since it was such a small purchase. My mistake. I got ready to cook later and saw the date on the peanut butter. No harm I'll just go exchange it. They will be cool because I'm constantly in the store spending money. Manager dude went back to get a new peanut butter. Held it up to me showing one with a good date in the future. Then said sorry I can't let you have it. He handed me back the old one. I don't want their trash expired food. So I dropped it on the ground for him to pick up and went back and purchased a new peanut butter, milk and cookies because I wanted milk and cookies after getting ripped off. I hope the new building a block away gets a competing grocery in it. edit: To be clear it was plastic container sealed unopened peanut butter with no chance of breaking when I dropped it. I am not a monster. edit: in my annoyance I forgot to pick up the things my wife wanted for dinner so I had to go back after all this. Honestly, I'm going to stop going here. The aisles are so narrow, it's hard for me to shop with my baby and stroller. Staff aren't really friendly (yeah I get it, it's nyc. But people here don't even look your way). The meat department is TRASH. I would say nearly /5 times I've gone, the meat I've purchased (chicken or ground turkey) was rotten. Yup, when I got home and opened the package the smell was rancid. What a waste of $$. Other than that, the fresh fruits and veggies are pretty acceptable. But buyer beware, their items are priced wayyyy to high, so be prepared to spend more than you would (compared to Stop n Shop). I suggest you pass on this shop unless your desperate. read more
