I randomly found myself in bushwick this past weekend. I was craving fresh juice on the hot sunny day and Mr. lemon popped up as an option. I wasted no time and making my way to this corner grocery store. As soon as I entered, it dawned on me that the produce was fresh and an amazing price. I quickly snag myself some avocados, fruit, and peppers. Inside, I asked for a mixed juice of carrot, apple and orange. The lady at the juice counter gladly obliged. She made a little extra so I was asked to drink up so she can fill my cup again. It felt so nice, kind of like growing up how my mom asked me to take a few gulps when she made me milkshake. The energy of this place is so kind and sweet. I can tell the owners and the employees are just good people. Definitely come by here for a juice or any other grocery needs. Produce section is fantastic if you can't make it to the grocery store. It's fresh and priced well. They have coffee and fresh pressed juices near the front of the store. For the juice, you pay at the register and then hop on the line. They will ask you what you want in it. Not a bodega! This an artisanal shop. I'm super impressed by their selection. Small store, but has just about everything you'd need except meat stuff. Really great selection of fruits and veggies. Good prices. Amazing beer selection. Careful many beers are by the can *$2.50-5.00 each sometimes. Great mushroom and cheese selection. They have fresh pasta too. They have interesting health food and fresh food stuff you can't get anywhere in Bushwick/Ridgewood. It's truly a special little grocery store. read more

Really can't beat a $5 fresh pressed juice. You pay for it at the main register and then let them know what you'd like in it. I do some of my shopping here, it's a small space but they surprisingly have everything. Their fresh cut fruit is always quality, and they have a wide range of produce. Cheapest produce selection in the area for sure. The produce outside is extremely cheap, but nearing the end of its life span so make sure you eat it quickly after purchasing. since this is just around the corner from my apartment it's not big deal for me. Typically I can get most of my produce for the week (corn, peppers, apples, cucumbers, and assorted fruit) for around $10. Other food inside is more expensive, but nothing too crazy for new york. they have a good selection of local beers and ciders, and they let you just take one. Some of the employees here are extremely rude, including the White girl who runs the smoothie counter now & old Asian man who won't even look you in the eye when asking simple questions. I endured a terrible experience at Mr. lemon today. I would normally go there 3 to 4 times a week to buy the fresh vegetable juices.I had purchase 5 Supposed to be 16 ounce cups of juices for $20 they had recently swapped out the original 16 ounce cups for a way smaller size I believe to be 12 ounces And I do not have a problem with paying more for less Prices inflates all the time.but My thing is now I have my 12 oz cups of juices in the original 16 oz cups holder but my drinks do not fit nor the cups holder ia supporting my drinks. My cups of juice was very loose and wobbly Due to the recent change with the smaller cups As a result so I'm getting out of my vehicle and one of my cups of juice spilled all over in my vehicle. I go back to mr. lemon the next following day to confront them of the situation and show them pictures of what had occurred. I had addressed the issue with a lady at the register with glasses and Black hair but she did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue and she came off rude and unprofessional and advise me to shop somewhere else rather than taking care of me and replacing my drink she obviously need to be re-train on how to resolve customers complaint her actions was unacceptable you always take care of the customer and ensure the proper service and treatment is given all the time you never advise your customers to take their business elsewhere because you can't provide adequate service to your customers I guess I will be taking my business and money elsewhere. read more

This place will have the cheapest vegetables you can buy in a store front around here. A few things to know about the vegetables and fruit outside: 1. They turn over vegetables which are nearing the end of their shelf life, so if it's really cheap use it really fast. 2. The prices will change based on what they got really cheap. This is because they buy up vegetables which did not sell to other places for really cheap. 3. The food inside can often times be found for cheaper at other markets. I buy half my produce here each week and the other half from china town. It's really amazing. I just buy whatever is really cheap to eat in the next few days. Overall I spend $16 on vegetables and fruit each week between here and Chinatown. read more

Best grocery store in the neighborhood in my opinion. It may be small but it totally kicks butt in being able to provide all you vegetable needs and freshness. My usual deal was to get all groceries at Trader Joe's but their produce is honestly always slacking (at least here in NYC). The most simple of greens become like trying to find a diamond or good piece of jewelry at a large public market. But not at Mr. Lemon! I was very excited to shop there. When I got to the store I took a basket and was going through the aisles. It's very small and 2 people cannot walk in the aisle. I noticed I was being followed by the male employees there. They were looking in my basket to see what I had in there. Others shoppers were not being followed.
