I love this bodega. Lots of variety of fruit and vegetables. Pre-pandemic they would make you the most amazing juice. Their refrigerated section always has interesting things that the other bodegas don't have--from biscuit dough in a can to pizza crusts. Today I was able to find spray Lysol which I haven't seen since February! The employees are kind. Their prepared Greek salads are super good. I was a regular customer for about 6 months cause they are the closest place that sells cold cuts. But lately things are really bad, lots spoiled food that taste horrible, and I got food poisoning from eating salami there. Even worse is how rude and disrespectful some of the staff there are. I feel bad because some are very nice, but one example of how rude they can be is when I politely asked when they were gonna restock since I had just gotten spoiled meet from them, and the guy decided to shoosh me and push me out of the store...I said 10 words at best. I will never go here again...and if you dnt want to risk food poisoning and vomiting all night, I dnt suggest you do either. read more

My favorite bodega in this neighborhood. It's very clean and well stocked. They are safe and ask that all customers wear masks.

This place is a great and welcome addition to the neighborhood! I feel like it's too good to be true... The kind of place I love to see busy so I know it will stand a chance of sticking around. First of all ~ their fresh squeezed juice! I am so happy to have a place that has healthy fruit and veggie juice for - wait for it--- two bucks for a small and three for a 16 oz large. Are you joking??? It's a dollar extra if you want pineapple or orange. They have things like carrot, beet, kale, ginger, parsley etc. it's so good and I can't believe the price. They have prepared food like sandwiches and sushi as well as fresh produce. I had an egg sandwich this morning and it was awesome, especially the roll it was on. Perfect neighborhood grocery store. Produce is always fresh and CHEAP. All the basics (milk, bread, canned goods, pasta etc) are reasonably priced for the quality. Fresh juice is delicious. The best part is they are open 24 hours. I no longer haul large quantities of stuff home from the supermarket once a week; just pop here on the way home and grab what I need that night. The only negative I can think of is they don't stock much fresh meat. But I know the economics would make this difficult. read more

This is the probably the most convenient store around graham avenue and the juice is too good and fresh.

I purchased package of Bell and Evans chicken thighs. When I opened the package it smelled terrible. Unfortunately I threw it away, the smell was too overpowering. I called the store and they asked me to bring it back but too late, I had already thrown the package away. That's the last time I buy chicken at a local market. read more

Just went to buy flowers and saw one worker tell another to make sure I didn't steal anything. I have bought flowers here several times before. Great corner store/market to have if you live in the neighborhood. I wouldn't say its the type of place you should travel out of your way to go to though. Much of the groceries and beverages are organic (or at least health conscious), however I found that much of the fresh produce is not organic... so keep that in mind. I pretty much agree with the other reviewers. Orange Tree is awesome. They have a large selection of good quality fresh conventional produce at amazingly low prices. Prices on produce are much lower here than at Khim's or Azure. They do offer some organic fruits and vegetables and they are clearly marked. They carry a lot of staples and a small to moderate selection of vegan packaged foods and organic specialty items at prices comparable or less than their neighborhood competitors. You could definitely do all of your grocery shopping here if you needed to. The staff is friendly. I think it is family run and they obviously care about what they do. read more

Orange Tree is such a perfect little market. I moved farther out from the Montrose Ave stop but I will come here if I'm ever in the area. Kind owners and a great selection of produce. While the grocery selection is somewhat small, it is convenient and fairly priced (especially for produce). I also absolutely love the fact that you can get fresh pressed juices for $3. It's probably the cheapest place I've ever gone to get juice, and luckily right in my neighborhood. No matter how many ingredients you want in your juice, your custom order will be $3 for a small or $4 for a large (I find the small is perfectly satisfying). I come here at least once a week for my juice fix - lemon, ginger, carrot, kale and beet. Can't beat the price, and even better, the service is excellent. If they end up making too much juice for the cup, they have you drink the cup down and then top it off again so that none goes to waste! read more

Update: I went and talked to them about my experience and they were very apologetic, explained that a refrigeration system had broken and refunded my money. I updated my rating to 3 stars which I view as neutral. Not sure if I would go back again but I do appreciate there admittance of wrong doing and ease with refunding my money. read more

The produce selection is wonderful except the bananas have all turned brown, probably because it's freezing inside! They put up outside doors when it's very cold out, which helps a little. Overall the prices are good, especially for some of the organic grains, canned goods and milk substitutes. The yogurt selection is not good at all and many yogurts are either on or close to their expiration date. Meat selection is little to none. I tried the coffee the other day and it was great compared to the other delis within those blocks. The sandwiches are OK depending on who you get to make the sandwich. You can't beat some of the other sandwich makers in the neighborhood. Pricing on sandwiches is awesome though! I will continue to shop here despite the cons because it's convenient, the staff is friendly, and I like to support a new business as they grow. read more

I came here because the name says "Organic" and I couldn't find organic tomatoes at all the local grocery stores. Guess what? This store doesn't have organic tomatoes. Only ~10% of their produce is organic, which is about the same as every other grocery store in the area. Why is this one called "organic" if it isn't any more organic than the next store? I was definitely swayed by the good reviews here. I made a special trip to come here. This is probably a fine place to go if you're in this neighborhood. I just don't understand how you can have a place with organic in the name and not have any organic produce. I usually go to mr. Kiwi because it's in my neighborhood (but, they have very little organic produce as well). I would say the prices and product selection is very similar. Although, this place is certainly nicer and less cramped. For me it's not worth the extra walk. read more

This place is great! An amazing addition to the neighborhood. I only buy my produce from here now! I only wish they had more than one cash register as it is a small place and the line can get long. Some of their things are over-priced, but their pre-prepared veggie sushi is delicious and the cashiers make a point of remembering your face and being friendly! read more
