Excellent service.
Diana E.

Poor customer service. I wasn't able to fly out to Miami due to Hurricane Ian and they've refused to refund my $700 payment. They've been very dismissive. I would think a Hurricane and tornados are reasons to refund someone. Awful. Don't recommend.

Our stay at this hotel was great! We stayed for 6 nights and were very pleased! The staff that we encountered were all very nice and professional. We were in a room on the 3rd floor, the room was cute and very clean, with nice decor! They don't have a pool but you can use the pool around the corner at their sister hotel, which is only one short block away. They do have a rooftop patio to do some sunbathing if you don't want to go to the beach. They are located close to a CVS if you need to pick up a few things and there are a lot of good restaurants nearby on Collins and Washington Ave. You can walk or use Uber or Lyft to get around if you don't have a car. When you are out after a certain time, you have to be buzzed in, which helped us feel safe while staying there as well. We would definitely recommend staying here and can't wait to return.

Really easy beach access and access to the cobblestone walking area at the back of the hotel where you can ride a bike or walk. If you are an early bird, definitely recommend getting up early and utilizing the complimentary bike rentals. I believe you get 2 free hours which is more than enough time for an early morning ride. We rode our bikes to Starbucks, drank our coffee and then rode back. Again, try leaving early because the area gets really busy with walkers, runners, bikers and also people on rollerblades. One other thing to note is that we visited around July 4th. To view the multiple firework shows, grab a chair and walk along the beach. The pool area had great entertainment and games including bean bags and ping pong. The pool itself was not the largest pool but we were able to find a place to lounge each time. The pool was also heated which typically I would say was a plus but in July, it was a bit much at times. Great staff, very friendly and always smiling. Let's talk about the rooms. The rooms were above average in terms of design and cleanliness. The bathroom was an interesting one. Small. Too small. Made it hard to enjoy the shower or find places to put your stuff. The weird thing is that there were two closets. A large one specifically on the opposite wall of the bathroom. Why did they not use that space instead to make the bathroom bigger? No clue. As always be careful if you remove stuff from the fridges since you will get charged on your room bill. I have stayed at hotels such as Loews and Fontainebleau and this one is definitely a step below those hotels. Would I stay there again? Absolutely.

From the moment we arrived with check-in, getting our bags to our room, we were treated like true VIPs. Once we got to the room, we had time to change and head to the pool. The evenings were great as we were able to sit out on the balcony and relax, while at the same time being in the lobby or hitting the restaurant was always great. We took advantage of the on-site yoga classes and the beach every day while we were there. The beach area was nice, in the servers supporting the beach I felt did their best to accommodate all of the guests outside. If you're a frequent AMEX user, I would definitely recommend going through your AMEX as it really did just make a difference. The grounds were well kept the pool was clean. The staff was friendly and most importantly, we had an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend it for anybody coming to South Beach to come here, as it's centrally located and it's easily accessible to lots of other activities you may want to consider.

I was in Miami for a day and half and wanted to soak up some sun and enjoy myself being close to restaurants and the beach . I love this boutique styled hotel and the beautiful rooms that are so beautiful with the turquoise lighting ( my favorite color). I feel safe traveling solo here and never have had any issues. I love the pool and bar area and the decor of this hotel. They offer valet parking which I didn't need as I used car service from the brightline but have always trusted my trucks with their valet attendants. I've already booked another stay for September !

The elevators are a bit slow, the hotel was built in 1920. Its a big elevator. The bedroom is super nice. My partner is a globalist so we got a really nice room. I couldn't really sleep. People were still out partying at 4am. If you don't mind loud then this place is good. The view of the main road was nice, I got to people watch. They also have beach service where they bring out the chairs and have service. We didn't have time since we had to board the Royal Caribbean ship. Check out was super easy. I would recommend this place.

If you're considering booking Loews Miami Beach Hotel, do it. I was torn between this hotel and 1 Hotel South Beach, but ultimately Loews was the more cost-effective choice, and I'm so glad I chose it. Are there more families with children here? Yes. But honestly, the location, beautiful pool, and being just steps from the beach made this stay 100% worth it. The convenience and overall experience were unbeatable. A special shout-out to Caitlyn, who checked us in and went above and beyond. She was truly an A-star front desk agent -- warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. She was the cherry on top of an already incredible stay. She even went out of her way to leave us a little dessert to celebrate one of our birthdays. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is what makes a stay memorable. Our servers and bartenders were also polite, professional, and engaging throughout our visit. Whoever is responsible for hiring and training this team deserves recognition -- the hotel staff truly elevated the entire experience.

The hotel's interior was truly beautiful, featuring a grand fountain that used to be a centerpiece. However, the Thai hotel next door left no water for the fountain, giving it a rather dormat-like appearance. We would often venture outside to admire the hotel's beautiful garden, which was lit up with candles and had a stunning swimming pool outside the lounge bar. Unfortunately, the bar itself was too dark, leaving everything in shadow. Despite this, the rooftop restaurant served delicious Brazilian cuisine and had friendly customer service! We were glad we never stayed at the hotel only to visit when we could while we lived in Miami before we moved out of the country for great decades!

The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

I had been looking forward to the…read moreincluded spa experience, and while I really enjoyed the facilities and waterfront setting, our room was a letdown. We stayed in Room 6, which had a private outdoor courtyard with a bathtub. The room was described in terms of minimalist design and Scandinavian style, but to me it felt more like an industrial Scandinavian dormitory-motel room than a spa hotel room. The beige speckled linoleum flooring reminded me of grade school, and the toilet had a foot-operated flush lever like those in public restrooms. There was a small marble sink on a wooden stand, a wooden futon with a red-and-white striped cover, and three windows with wooden blinds. Tiny tables extended off the bed, just large enough for a Kindle, phone, and glass of water. I fell asleep listening to the blowing noise from the air conditioning, followed by about 15 minutes of a popcorn popping sound. On the positive, the room was kept at a comfortable temperature and two pairs of ear plugs were provided. Our room, booked through the American Express Hotel Collection, included a $30-per-person breakfast credit that could be used for a room service breakfast or at Lido Bayside Grill. With only a small metal-and-plastic folding table for dining in our room, I chose the beautiful bayfront view at Lido instead! The private courtyard was attractive, with white pebbles and a flowering tree. Fabric panels and a hanging curtain served as the walls and door separating our courtyard from the neighbors and the walkway. The door curtain fluttered open in the breeze, so it didn't feel especially private with people walking by. We could hear our neighbors talking next door, which made it rather awkward to sit naked in the tub at night, knowing that when we stood up, our silhouettes could be visible through the fabric panels. The tub was just large enough for the two of us to sit facing each other. The spa and pool facilities and bayfront location really made this hotel. We loved the large waterfront pool, comfortable padded loungers, and gradual sloping entry into the water. The adults-only atmosphere was relaxing, and the views across Biscayne Bay toward the Miami skyline were beautiful. The poolside service was great, and everyone was so nice. The spa offered an impressive variety of experiences, including a hammam with heated stone platforms and soaking tubs, a eucalyptus steam room, sauna with a view of the bay, rainfall shower, Ice Room (actually a room with chilled air rather than ice), and relaxation area. I particularly enjoyed moving between the warm and cool spaces. We also appreciated the complimentary wellness classes. My husband and I attended Tai Chi with Jackie, who guided us through gentle movements while we enjoyed the views of the water, palm trees, and sky. It was a wonderful way to begin the morning. She did a great job explaining the movements. The poolside and Lido staff were helpful, including Richard, Sophia, Jabar, and Eric, who assisted us during our stay. Megan was especially sweet, offering restaurant suggestions and explaining the complimentary water bicycle and kayak rentals. We enjoyed relaxing at Lido Bayside Grill, particularly the waterfront views and Mon - Thurs Happy Hour from 4-6 pm with $12 cocktails. It was a lovely place to sit by the water and watch the changing light over the bay. Overall, I would happily return for the spa, pool, wellness classes, and relaxing waterfront atmosphere. For a hotel at this price level, I expected a more comfortable and attractive room. I think the room could have a more inviting atmosphere with wood-look flooring, wooden tables in the bathroom and bedroom, and some artwork. A way to secure the bottom of the courtyard door curtain to prevent it from fluttering open would also be helpful. The Standard Spa offers a unique experience with its lush gardens, inviting sitting areas, wonderful spa and pool facilities, and bayfront dining. Despite my disappointment with the room, I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff at The Standard!
