*I'm not a patient, my dad is* My dad was getting his oxygen from another company and was switched to Lincare. My mom and I went down to the house to check on him as he was expecting the delivery at 3. He was out running some errands and let us know to expect the delivery and if they got there before my dad, to let them know he was on his way. The driver, Ramon, got there at 2:56. Very prompt! We all know how that goes, someone says they'll be there at 3, it really means 5 or 6 (i.e SDGE, Cox, the plumber, furniture delivery..). Ramon started to unload the oxygen and all required accessories while waiting for my dad and chatted it up with my mom and I. Once my dad got home, Ramon thoroughly explained everything to my him. Even though my dad has been on oxygen through another company, Ramon explained everything like my dad had never used it before. That was cool because he wanted to make sure my dad had absolutely no questions. My mom worked for a medical supply company for over 20 years so they all talked the stuff over while I sat there like a bump on a log, eyes glazed over lost amongst all the 'old people' talk. My dad had a super hard plastic nasal cannula and had it for over 3 months (they're supposed to be changed every 3 weeks to a month) and the last company never gave him more. Ramon informed my dad about how long they're good for and gave him some super soft plastic ones that don't irritate my dads nose. If yesterday was any indication as to how this relationship will go between Lincare and my dad, my dad said he'll be a happy camper and will be breathing a lot easier! read more

They delivered an oxygen concentrator that had been cleaned with something I was allergic to and caused projectile vomiting the minute the delivery person turned on the device. They tried to let it "air out" but every time they turned it back on, again it caused projectile vomiting. He refused to take the device with him because "Then Lincare would be liable for not delivering the device." Delivering a device an individual cannot use is also a liability. He said he would speak with my doctor and bring me a new one that hadn't been cleaned with the sanitizer I was allergic to, but I never again heard back from him. In the meantime I used the portable one he dropped off. I called the office every three business days at first, then weekly, then I just gave up when my neurologist and pulmonologist discovered the low oxygen was a neuro/brain issue. So I was prescribed a ventilator from a different company. Lincare managed to get my GP to sign for a second year of use without my knowledge. Imagine my surprise when I get a call from Lincare to tell me they need me to contact my doctor who refused to sign the prescription for the second year. They finally said they would pick up the devices that had been sitting unused at my house for TWO YEARS. I suspect they were ready to do so because they couldn't bill medicare for the rental anymore and wanted it back so they could dump it at someone else's home for as long as Medicare would pay. read more

I had the most horrible experience with Lincare last week. My mom was recently put on hospice and as part of the transition hospice provides new medical equipment. My mom has several severe medical conditions and requires oxygen to live. While hospice has provided a new oxygen concentrator, they had not been out to inspect and hook it up. Lincare decided to show up with no warning while my mom was home alone and took her oxygen concentrator AND her nasal cannula. The driver literally left her without her oxygen and no way to hook up to ANY new equipment. Luckily she was able to call us and articulate the problem, but by the time we got home she was on the floor struggling to breathe with oxygen levels at 73%. Medics were called and responded within 10 minutes and were thankfully able to stabilize her. I immediately called Lincare and was told by 2 different people (Ray and Gregory) at the San Diego location that the driver, only identified as Chris, did exactly what he was supposed to do. Apparently, it is their job to leave patients without life sustaining medical necessities. I can't believe this is what our society has come to. Not only the lack of observance in medical care, but also the lack of common sense one must possess to remove her ability to connect to oxygen. Please watch out for your loved ones and choose a company that has a little more compassion and sense of responsibility. read more

AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE COVID! We ordered a medication prescription that is a breathing treatment for my mother on a Thursday the same way we always have in the past. The following Tuesday they have no record of the order and they just don't care. Brianna answers the phone and not only offers no solution to their mistake which avoids a lapse in usage, but is rude and uncaring and hangs up the phone on me mid-sentence. Unbelievable! Deliveries of supplies are always late and sometime never show up at all. These guys are the worst of the worst! read more

This place just can't get it right no matter how hard you try with them. Since they are keen on showing up on your front door step without an appointment I made an appointment for them to pick up the oxygen tank that my significant other needs to send back. I made the appointment Thursday after Labor day. So when they repeated the time and day over the phone they kept saying "Wednesday" or "Monday?" No, it's Thursday remember? Monday is Labor day. So I had this eerie feeling that they wouldn't show up on the time that the appointment was for. Sure enough they come to my door hours earlier and bang the hell out of it when I'm asleep (and I'd just fallen back to sleep). I jump up off the couch and my heart is beating a million miles an hour. I fly to the door and I have no bra on and I'm in lingerie of all things. At least the lingerie wasn't revealing and I was covered at least. My hair is a rats nest and with my eyes half closed I chime in "You're early" and he just replies "Yeah" and chuckles. This isn't funny in the least. Anyway these people are clueless as always. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Have been trying for one month to get CPAP supplies. They loose any information sent to them, can't find old records, don't return calls and generally demonstrate a level of incompetence rarely seen in even the worst companies. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF EXTREME FRUSTRATION AND SIMPLY DO NO BUSINESS WITH THIS OUTFIT !!!!!!! read more

This place couldn't save a life if they tried! I've had this service since 6/17, and regularly place orders for my father( daughter/ caregiver/ setup with serv. W Lincare) I ran out of strips called to request more and they tell me u don't have authorization!! R U SERIOUS! That was the last straw! Too much trouble! They work with MDINR or are associated with them I can't figure them out. Try canceling the service, calling MDINR is a customers worse nightmare the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing! Customer don't need the run around when carrying for sick parents let alone your the sick one. Not worth the discounted price. You Get what you pay for is true!!! read more

Unethical. Unprofessional. Dishonest. Poorly trained. Puts profit before safety. Irresponsible. Unreliable. I am a registered nurse ( critical care) and former risk manager. Don't use this company. They have a F rating from the Better Business Bureau, Their own employees have the same things to say (see Indeed.com); and they were fined 10 million dollars by the federal government for unethical behavior. Please spread the word. Respiratory care is too important to trust to this sleazy company. read more

Lincare has always been slow to deliver supplies. And a 30 phone call wait to get through to supply center. They refused to send needed strap for vpap mask, making the machine useless and dangerous for my husband. Said we can have one every 6 months and we weren't due until March. Even when reminded that there was no strap in the last order, they refused, putting my husbands life in jeopardy. If you have a choice, don't choose Lincare. read more

Lincare called repeatedly, asking to speak, to my nonverbal sister. I advised numerous representatives, I'm her consevertor and I can send them paperwork. I was ordering her supplies, with no problem, until this month. Neither would listen or transfer me to a supervisor. They claim they would note the acct, and have a supervisor call me back, which never happened. Another was rude, and gave me incorrect information, for another number to call, to resolve this issue. This was occurring everyday, several times a day. After searching online, found a company, affiliated with Lincare, that promises to stop the phone calls and send out paperwork, so acct could be updated. Just don't understand the incompetence of these people! read more

Unprofessional, inefficient service. Travel order for oxygen placed with San Diego Lincare two weeks in advance, as Lincare had requested. Arrived at our destination but Lincare office had no record of oxygen order. We had to rely on oxygen we had brought from home and hoped it would last until we received order from San Diego Lincare. SEVERAL phone calls later, and TWO days into our trip, Lincare arrived with oxygen, not the equipment we had requested, and barely enough to get back home. Needless to say, our trip was limited waiting for oxygen delivery. No explanation, apology or apparent concern from San Diego Lincare. read more

Horrible. Incompetent back office people. Spent months trying to get a hospital bed. Totally un cooperative. My doctor has banned them from his office. We went to another vendor and got a bed the next day! Don't bother with these people. read more

I was on supplemental oxygen for some time. Lincare was extremely nice to me explaining all the equiptment and how to use it. I did go on a road trip from San Diego to southern Florida, their only fault was not estimating how much oxygen I would be using. I was using a regulator instead of free flowing oxygen but they did get my oxygen to my destination before I arrived, but again over estimated how much I would need. When I returned home, I called them, and since the pick up was so much, they fired 3 people off their customer relations dept. I did change to the liquid oxygen, having a portable unit. They always showed up on appt time, and was extremely nice to make sure I was doing ok. Their only downfall was bringing enough different sleep apnea devices for a proper fit, but I would still continue to use them after 4 years of service! read more
