All four of us visited and toured several facilities both in Northern and Southern CA. We wanted to find a place for dad that we felt comfortable live in ourselves. Dad had been living in Northern CA for most of his life, so when my husband and I visited Cloisters (several times), and had met with Tia and other staff members, we felt that it would be the best fit for him, it was still a big leap of faith as it was major move for dad at such an advanced age. Now it has been 3+months and dad has fully adjusted to the facility, met new friends and very much enjoying his new home. Always greeting you with warm smile, Tia is the driving force that keeps everything going the right direction, but each and every person that we have had the pleasure of meeting so far have been caring, attentive and a joy to know. We usually visit dad twice a day every day, so we don't miss much. We would like to specially recognize Marlene who has been exceptionally careful when she is showering dad who had a foot surgery recently. Just last week we celebrated dad's 98th birthday with a cake for everyone at Cloisters. My favorite aspect of the facility is that every room has a view, and most rooms have a private patio access to an immaculately maintain garden brimming with roses, cannas, bougainvillea, many shady trees, hummingbirds and butterflies and many pollinators flitting about, that would cheer up the gloomiest of moods. They have a nice space where you can have lunch outside of your room if you want to they have a nice little patio that the caretaker that I have going there too will take my mom out for a walk in a wheelchair I highly recommend this place if you are recovering from a surgery. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that the staff genuinely care about their patients. Every nurse, CNA, therapist, and team member showed warmth, kindness, and a level of compassion that created a true healing environment. What really stood out is how committed they are to helping patients maintain a sense of normalcy and dignity. They encouraged my dad to keep a daily routine--waking up, getting dressed, and enjoying his meals in the dining room rather than staying isolated in his room. That structure made a remarkable difference in his overall mood and recovery. The activities they offer are wonderful and thoughtfully planned. Gloria, Ginny and Ashley They were above what I ever expected. From start to finish I was treated with so much care. Jessica was my intake contact and made me feel so cared about. We have been desperate for care for my quadriplegic father for the past few weeks. Jessica and Shannon have been able to fill every single shift that we have had a need for. Every caregiver with this agency has done a good job, and most have been exceptionally quick learners and self-starters. The agency is very responsive and easy to reach, and it is apparent that they truly care about their clients. The caregivers who work here seem to love their work, as well. We have tried to work with 3 other agencies and had poor results, but we plan on sticking with Love Right for as long as we can.

The biggest take away after having my grandfather here for a month is that he lost every last skill…read morehe had for ADL and got worse than he was when he got there. He got an infection due to neglect, an open pressure sore, his clothes were only changed 3 times in a total of 4 weeks, and he had two showers in a month. I was very clear with them about me doing his laundry to ensure nothing was lost. Even still, they took his laundry and lost his clothes. I visited him every 2-3 days and spent most of my time at the nurse's station harping on them about lack of care and why he had become wheelchair bound after several weeks there when before he got there he was walking. Myself and other family members would find him sleeping bedside on his wheelchair on a regular basis. He couldn't reach his call light from the side of the bed, and he shared they never checked on him. He got an open sore on his tailbone from sitting in his wheelchair 24/7. The photos they posted are fluff; the place is a totally apocalyptic like. Dirty, old and broken, wreaks, and residents all over struggling to get around on their own. Getting parking in the bottom lot or the garage was usually a challenge. The outdoor areas were also filthy and gross. No real place to visit with residents. And sadly, the employees do not care (aside from Bong and Alex). Social services - useless.. she was aware of these issues and agreed that there was a lack of proper care at a level she wouldn't allow for her own self or family member and nothing changed. Even after a meeting with the ombudsman, the neglect continued until I discharged him because I was terrified he would die there. He went to the hospital for SOB and was sent to post-acute to gain cardiovascular strength and improve his ability to move around (in and out of bed, up and down stairs, walking longer distances). He was admitted to this facility relying on only a cane to walk short distances, he left unable to walk AT ALL, even with a walker.
