When I tried to use the gift cards, I was told they would not be honored, with no exceptions and no grace period. While I understand that ownership changes happen, it's incredibly frustrating that a business could purchase an existing business, and would refuse to stand behind purchases made just weeks prior. There was no communication, no transition period, and no effort to make things right for customers who supported the business in good faith. The new owners stated that the other Milano locations would honor the gift cards - that is not true. All are independently owned. At a minimum, a short grace period would have shown respect for loyal and LOCAL customers. Instead, this experience left me feeling taken advantage of and unlikely to return.

The service itself was going to cost $75, and I already spent $24 on transportation to get here. When I arrived, I was told that the nail technicians had already left because no customers were there. I find this very unprofessional. If the business is open until 7:00 PM, I would expect at least one or two technicians to remain available during posted business hours, or the business should indicate that it is no longer accepting customers. The open sign was still on, which made it appear that services were still available. To make matters worse, I now have to pay for another Uber to travel to a different nail salon, adding even more unexpected expense and inconvenience. As a business owner myself, and someone with a background in management, I believe business hours should be honored and customers should be able to rely on the hours that are posted. She assured me they could do it and assigned me to Lee. During the process, I told Lee twice that it did not look like the photo I showed him. He told me, "Once I add the shellac, it will look pretty." Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like the picture. I told Lee directly, "I asked you if you could do the design in the photo and you said yes. This is not even close." He simply smiled and shrugged his shoulders like he didn't care. When I went to explain the issue to the owner, instead of offering help, she turned around, walked to the back, and started talking to Lee in another language, completely ignoring me. I asked for a refund, and they both continued to ignore me. Very disappointing experience. I was misled, the quality was poor, and the customer service was even worse. Ben is my go to man for removal of these nails because he is SO gentle and it makes the entire experience so pain free. I had an emergency today where I had ripped my real nail with the long acrylic backwards and up from the nail bed, it had bled so much and pus dried everywhere I couldn't clean. I had just had these nails put on and I was in PAIN, but ben took his time and saved the day for $10 (plus a big tip bc I SUPER APPRECIATE the way he took care of me). He has saved my nails on more than one occasion. I love that these nails, without removal services, last much longer than other places and come off pain free and my nails underneath are still healthy. They seem to be getting busier, I guess everyone found out the secret which sucks for me but they deserve it! My only negative is just that the pedicures dont impress me. I have paid for the basic and more expensive ones and the quality of my feet seems the same afterward and I still have to remove dead skin sometimes myself at home.

There are air bubbles under all of my nails, the topcoat is messed up on every single nail, the shape is not what I was asking for, three of the tips that were applied to my nails do not even cover my entire nail. Every time I spoke up for her to fix the shape, she told me that she was not done yet. I have never had nails look this awful. I asked for square round yet I got some type of fanned out, square shaped nails, that I did not ask for, and my toes nails are round and chopped off. Neither of which I asked for either. The thing that irritates me, the most is that this is the one time that I had a sitter come over so that I could get out and pamper myself for my birthday. I have young children and cannot leave the house for hours at a time just to go get my nails done, and the fact that I sat for over 2 1/2 hours and my nails, and my feet look terrible, is truly truly disheartening. Whenever I called to speak to the manager, she kept cutting me off telling me to come back so that she could fix them. She wouldn't even let me get two words out of my mouth before she would cut me off again, just to repeat herself. I finally got in, as they moved to a new location. I opted for a non gel pedicure and was surprised by the experience. I am used to having my feet soaked prior to service and after reading about the difference. It's more hygienic to do it waterless. Everything lasts longer! Crystal did not service me, but she noticed that I was new and made sure that I was comfortable and enjoyed my experience. This is a black owned business and the ladies were great. The ambiance is still in progress, but it was clean and neat. She makes her own scrub that is available for sale. Parking is ample and it's next door to Ross! I highly recommend this place as they take detailed measures to make sure your feet or hands are manicured to perfection!
