Let's start with the pros: close by the house. Nice soothing music. Cons: the chairs are pleather and cracking tremendously. The chairs/tables are placed immediately when you walk in the door. They could have arranged this better by putting the massage area for multiple people in the back. The woman who massage me tended to jerk my body around instead of giving me a good clean massage. When she move my arms and legs into different positions she did not do it gracefully yet pretty much just threw my them into place. What!?!!!! Definitely wouldn't be this way at my Chinatown place. Lastly, I paid by credit card and they charged me $26 instead of 25. I asked them why and they said that the machine charges an extra dollar. I asked where it states that so I would have known in advance? They didn't have an answer. Completely ticked me off. Not cool whatsoever! My advice. If you need a quick massage in the area and you don't mind complete professionalism, try it. Make note of the extra $1 when charging. The reviews were all VERY positive and 5 stars, so my expectations were high. I booked via Classpass for 60 min swedish massage. The place is located in a commercial shopping strip on the corner, near like a beauty supply store etc. There is plenty of parking out front. There is construction going on around it, but not bad enough to obstruct the business. Once I arrived inside. The kind lady at check-in ushered me into the room. I saw clipboards on the desk, and as we were walking, I asked, "Shouldn't I complete the forms (since I was technically a new customer)?" She said there was no need. That was strange. Didn't they want to know my info? Once inside and the services started, the therapist, I will say, did use sweedish techniques and also full body stretching. There were moments of relaxation. But overall, it was just ok. Sometimes, even a little rough, which I verbalized to her. She never really answered me back when I would say things, but she did try and adjust the pressure. Im going to presume she did her best? The lights were on during the part where I was lying on my front, which was interesting. But once I was on my back, she dimmed the lights. The bonus - She did do hot stone on my back, which I was surprised about. Because this is normally a separate charge for most places, as it's an add-on service. But they didn't charge me more for it. Maybe they include it with the swedish massage? Either way, I appreciated that. At the end, I asked for the therapist name as she was walking out, and she said Angela. I bet a lot of people probably really enjoy Angela. She did exactly 55 min hands-on. But it just was not a worthwhile experience to come again. The nice lady at the desk that had checked me in, of course, asked how my massage was. I tried to explain, but I'm not sure she understood what I shared. At the Houston location, everything felt a bit rushed. It seemed like everyone was trying to move quickly through appointments rather than creating a truly relaxing experience. There was quite a bit of talking from staff members during massages, and we could also hear people outside the room laughing and having conversations. It made it difficult to fully unwind and enjoy the peaceful environment that we were expecting. Again, Kimmy and Kiki were both pleasant and gave good massages, but the pace felt rushed and the overall experience lacked the calm, relaxing feeling we had enjoyed at the Sugar Land location. If you're simply looking for a decent massage, this location will likely meet your needs. For us, though, the entire experience matters just as much as the massage itself.
