After about 15 minutes of work I was told the condenser had to be replaced due to mice chewing the electrical wires. I could understand this. Here is where the issue comes in. The technician first said it would be $3400 to replace. He then went to his truck and came back to tell my wife it would actually be $8,000, but they added a discount so I would Pay $6,000. The total cost of the whole install (condenser unit + 4 wall units) was 12,000. So just to replace the condenser is over half the cost of the initial install. I called to complain and spoke with the service manager. The service manager essentially explained to me that this was accurate because if they did the install today it would be 23,000. So they evidently had a 100% price increase. I then explained the invoice showed the unit itself as 2,000 and then labor as 6,000. He explained to me that was untrue, that due to the new invoice system they have, they can just put numbers anywhere essentially, so I should ignore the invoice. I explained my frustration and how that does not make any sense and I am not paying 6,000 for a condenser and labor. He said he understood and would escalate it higher and I would get a call later that day or the next. It's going on 3 days now and I have not heard back. This company went from one of my top rated to near highway robbery. I cannot reccomend them to anyone at this point, and will need to look into alternatives to get my heat back in the winter.

They were able to come out within two days, while every other company I contacted quoted two to three weeks just to get an appointment. The person I spoke with on the phone was incredibly kind and understanding. They kept me informed, called to let me know the technician was on the way, and even texted me a photo of the technician beforehand, which I really appreciated for safety and peace of mind. The technician who arrived was very nice, professional, and extremely helpful. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Since the visit, my furnace has been running quietly with no more strange noises. Best of all, the maintenance service was under $200, which felt very reasonable given the quick response and quality of service. I'm so grateful they were able to help on such short notice and would absolutely recommend them.

We reached out to Gottier, a local Oil/Plumbing & Heating company. They came right out and replaced the furnace and put us on a payment plan. Very easy and excellent work. Well, 37 years later, we found ourselves needing to replace that furnace. We called Gottier. We didn't even get a 2nd opinion because we didn't want to use someone else. They gave us another great payment plan and came out to install the furnace. When they left that afternoon we had a new furnace and everything was cleaned up as if they hadn't even been there. Unfortunately, they didn't clean up the rest of the basement so we're going to have to do that ourselves! Lol. When I lost my job a few years ago it happened to coincide with an increase in oil prices and our monthly budget payment was going to increase significantly. I called Gottier and told them that I had lost my job and the woman I spoke to was just so sympathetic and adjusted our budget plan so that we could afford it until I found another job. Her last words to me as we hung up: "Promise me that when you get another job you'll call and we can adjust the amount to reflect the increase." I promised and 6 weeks later, I called her to tell her of my new job. She was so excited for me! And for Gottier, of course! What's prompting me to put this in a review today? Well, a couple of days ago we got a phone call from Eric at Gottier fuel telling us that, as we could imagine, given the state of the world, oil prices were going to go up. We had a scheduled delivery 2 days hence. He was calling because he wanted us to know that the prices were going up so we wouldn't be shocked. That's amazing customer service for sure! They are so kind, so helpful and so understanding. If you're looking for an oil company and or a heating and plumbing company, you certainly cannot go wrong with Gottier.
