I was referred to Limbotomy by my next door neighbor, who had a very positive experience with them. I called and made an appointment for them to come out for a free estimate. Jonah came, and we walked my yard, and he gave me an estimate that was significantly less than other estimates that I got last year. It had been over 20 years since the trees were planted with little or no care since then, so it was a big project. He never asked for a deposit, or any money until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I accepted the estimate, and we set a time for them to come out and do the work. On the set date/time Jonah came with his very competent foreman, and two other workers, who all showed up right on time. Jonan and his foreman and I walked the property again to determine exactly what was needed to be done. They spent most of the day working on the project, and by the end of the day, my yard looks great! They even went above and beyond what they had to do. As they cleared some low branches, it exposed several years of accumulated leaves under the branches. While those leaves were not their responsibility, the took it upon themselves to clean up and dispose of all of the newly exposed leaves. Jonah came by several times during the day to check on the progress. At the end of the day, they cleaned up all of the remnants of their work. I was very satisfied, and Jonah and I settled the bill. I was charged exactly what I was quoted, with no additional fees for any extra work. I can't say enough about the quality and completeness of the work that Jonah and his crew provided. They were very professional, easy to work with, and they had no problem with me watching at times through out the day. They seemed glad to have me be so involved with their work. I will definitely have them back next year to trim up the new growth. read more

Limbotomy did a phenomenal job trimming our trees. We had an ash, maple, and apple tree that needing a good trimming. They came out to assess the work and provide an estimate within a couple days of us reaching out to them. Jonah and his team were understandably busy since many trees in the area were damage from heavy snowfall however they were still able to prioritize us and completed the work within a reasonable amount of time. The work they did was hands down the best value we've ever seen from a legitimate tree trimming company. Highly recommend them! read more

The Limbotomy crew did a fantastic job thinning and bringing up the canopies on our 5 mature trees. They needed quite a bit of work as it has been several years since we have done any significant pruning. Our front yard was so shaded the grass had thinned in several spots! I wish we would have taken before and after pictures. We chose Limbotomy for several reasons. Jonah met with us and was very knowledgeable and asked pointed questions about our trees and our expectations. His prices were very reasonable, and he fit us into his fall schedule within a couple of weeks. We felt very fortunate to find Jonah and we will be recommending him to all our friends and family. read more

Worst treatment I've had from any business owner EVER! I've posted a couple pictures so you can see. Jonah also called my husband(after 2-3 attempts on our part to get a call back it took a bad review) telling him we were slandering him.. any educated person can see that my original post is in no way slandering him or his business. This was taken way out of hand by Jonah.. I'd advise against using him unless you like to be harassed and have childish arguments. If you cannot handle reviews or honesty then you 1: need to improve your business practices or 2: sell your business to someone who actually has an interest in making their potential and existing customers happy. read more

Just hired Jonah and his crew to trim our large pear tree. Was an excellent experience from the beginning. I already had reached out to another tree trimming company who never followed through, but Limbotomy got back to me immediately after I had left a message. Jonah was very personable and schedule my estimate right away. His team arrived on time and did really nice work. Left site cleaner than they found it and tree looks great. Will definitely hire them again. Nice to know there are still tree trimming companies out there that will follow through! read more

I called to see what they would estimate the work they needed done and that day, a HUGE branch fell in our yard. They came out the next day and removed it. I called them back out to pay them and review what else we needed done. They gave us a fair price and knocked $50 off for a miscommunication regarding the first limb. They also made suggestions for a row of sumacs in our back yard (they are like weeds that never die). It involved a reference to another agency and some work on our end, but it gave me confidence in their reasonableness and knowledge about trees. I appreciate that this is a local business and they understand financial limitations. We will continue to use them! read more

Limbotomy Did some work for Me today and the final outcome couldn't have been better.price was good, quality of work was top notch, and customer service was awesome. Its always nice to support small business especially when it is deserved. Not sure what happened with the negative reviews here but EVERY review from multiple platforms i read on Jonah and his business were great these 2 reviews are the only negative i have seen so far and it looks like it is a couple (the profile picture is the same one). Either way this review is about my experience with limbotomy and that it was great and they are definitely worth every dollar. read more

Warning: I'm picky. But I think I'm fair. I have "old fashioned values", if that helps. We found Limbotomy because they left a card on our door. I saved the card, but didn't give it much thought. Our (not well liked) HOA notified us that we had a dead tree. Duh. We knew that. So I checked around for tree services. Nobody tripped my trigger until I called Jonah from Limbotomy. He sounded like "a nice guy" and knowledgeable. So I arranged for him to come out and do a walk-around with me. Note: He accommodated *my* schedule. I have (had) a "herd" of almost 20 aspen trees that needed trimming with about 6 that needed removal. [They're so nicely gone that I forget they existed and where they were.] Jonal turned out to be a "handshake" guy. No paperwork. No contract. Just human to human with a firm handshake. And as good as his word. No changes. No price bumps. Just solid. That is MY kind of person to do business with! His price was fair and I gave him the go-ahead. His crew came out and did a good job. Then I had him come out to look at a few items the crew missed and he "polished the diamond". Wow. It all came together. I admit to "not liking" aspen, but the whole lot of them look so much better now! My wife agreed and even said how nice he was and what a great job he had done. [That's rare praise, trust me.] I recommended him to a couple neighbors - and one had him out to do *his* herd of aspen. I also recommended him to a guy at work and that guy will be calling him up, also. Sitting on my patio looking at a former sore spot in my yard, I now smile at what a good looking corner of my property we now have. I will definitely have Jonah and his folks back in a year or two for the next round of aspen trimming. [Note: He's now in my contact list on my phone.] read more

WOW! These guys are great! I have a huge 45 year old maple in my front yard that hadn't been professionally pruned in over 15 years. It was a hot mess of dead branches and overgrowth. I got three estimates for this job, and no one could beat Limbotomy's price. Jonah and his team came out within a week of the day I called, and in under 4 hours made it look like a new tree. Jonah and his crew just removed a large dead pine tree from my backyard. They did a superb job. They arrived right on time. They used a large tarp to haul the dead branches so there was no debris left in the yard. They used a leaf blower to clean my driveway and street and left the property spotless. Jonah is bully who tried to start a fight with me on Thanksgiving because he would not return my calls. Let me make that clear. Jonah, called me, to pick a fight, about not calling me. The man is a fool and clearly has issues. I feel bad for anyone that has to deal with him at any level.
