They started AND completed the job just as they estimated (we're on a tight timeframe) and were very thorough with patching and finishing details. BEWARE!!! Do NOT use Lima's Hardwood Flooring LLC. We had to pay over $4k to have a professional come in and repair their work and have the floors completely stripped and refinished. BAD QUALITY: I can't stress enough how poor the quality of work was done by Lucas Lima. 5 cracked boards were installed that we had to replace later. He used the wrong color of wood filler for knots (told us there are only 2 colors to choose, which was a lie). He then proceeded to use Magic Markers to scribble over the filler and putty. It literally looked like a 5yr old scribbled all over the floors! Left big white stain ring around refrigerator. Lied about staining behind fridge. Blamed their BAD quality of work (which was human error) on the grade of wood. UNPROFFESSIONAL: Showed up with NO tools, had to borrow mine every time he came. Was over an hour late every single day. Brought 3yr old kid to worksite (who drew on our floors with a magic marker). NO-SHOW: After rearranging our work schedule, Lucas did not show up one of the days as promised. RUDE: Asked my wife for full payment way before work was completed because "his employees were waiting on it". His wife Anna text my wife also saying "our workers are waiting to get paid because you haven't paid us" (before job was completed). At one point Luca's wife Anna became very argumentative when discussing issues with the floor, so much so that she had to be asked to leave our home! UNETHICAL: We were lied to numerous times by Lucas! His wife goes by different alias (Ana Paula Silva). After doing a google search their company's reviews, I found that the majority of "positive" reviews were posted by all family members. Lucas stated that, "I have only had problems with CHRISTIAN customers!". (Yet he professed to be a Christian himself.) I recommend staying as far away from this company as possible! Lucas and his team, did a wonderful job on our floors. I was very impressed by not only the speed of the work, but also by the communication while it was being done. While I hope that it'll be a very long time before we have to do our floors again, I wouldn't consider using anyone other than Lima's! read more

Lucas and his "Team" fit me in a tight schedule if I was willing to work during the weekend. My floors were only 12 years old....however, previous owner used "Wet Jet Sheets" on my wood floors....worst thing you could ever do! The poly was ruined and gummy, I tired everything myself...but they needed to be sanded all the way down and start over.....went with Dark Walnut and just love them. They did an oil base, because I have a Goldendoodle that likes to run around the house. It's been 2wks since they finished and I still can't get over how nice they look. I have given there contact info to several neighbors that need work done. I did get 4 bids they were not the lowest bid, but the little extra was so worth it!!! I emailed Lima's Flooring after reading his Yelp! review online and after another business was dragging its feet on work start dates. He got back to me within 3 hours and agreed to start within 3 days. The job was 500 sq. feet of hardwood that I wanted restained a darker color. He offered to just about match price of the other bid, but the slight difference was worth my time and piece of mind (only came to about $40 more). He did a great job communicating with me through email and text about the color choices and the timeline. He even worked longer hours at a set overall job price to ensure the work was completed in a timely manner because I had company coming over and wanted the floors complete before they arrived. On the day work started, he helped me move heavy pieces of furniture to my garage and also helped cover any remaining wall decor and flat surfaces with plastic to minimize the dust from sanding. He and one other helper completed the work in a thorough and precise manner, and allowed me to see several color stain samples before they completed the entire job. They also worked straight from start to finish, so no down days in between, which minimized the time I was unable to use the area being finished. They were both courteous and professional, and I would surely hire them again and recommend them to friends as a licensed and insured contractor that gives an honest quote and works hard to ensure customer satisfaction. He even followed up with a call a few days later, did not require a down payment, and gave tips on how to keep the floor in pristine condition. read more
