I made an appointment for a regular pedicure and only waited maybe 20ish minutes to get seated. Everyone was nice and accommodating. I wanted to layer two colors and Tracy was really nice about showing me what my options were. Overall a good experience. I really like the results! I have to say I'm not really keen on the cuticle cutting and I got nicked as I suspected I would but it happens rarely (took off one star). Favorite nail salon in LA! Tina is great on my gel x nails and Tracy gives awesome pedicures! Everyone's super friendly. My friends and I have been going for over a yr and plan on continuing to return to the salon. They play good music and have a relaxing environment there's not a lot of talking just like I like! :) when I am getting my nails done I am a perfectionist and I like my techs to take their time and give me exactly what I'm asking for and for the most part with a good picture they are able to attain my vision and for that I'm grateful! I have been going here for over 10 years and will never leave this spot. I literally drive an hour to go to see these amazing ladies! My eyebrows are always flawless and my nails look amazing! They pick great colors and also do fabulous designs on your nails. The whole staff is courteous and so thoughtful. They take their time on your nails and make sure you are happy before you leave. Lily's is not a place to do business with if you are a professional. I made an appointment here after calling with no one to answer the phone. Reluctantly I took the appointment when they called back. I called to reschedule due to work and when I showed up I was told that the owner made the appointment for the day prior. And that I could not be serviced. Avoid this place and I should have done so when they didn't answer initially. 3.5 Stars is a favor for this place, buyer beware. read more

Just had my first visit here and I loved it. After an atrocious manicure last week at another salon, I tried Lily's because I always pass it and it looks cute inside. Everyone was very nice, the salon was very clean and had nice music playing. Their selection of gel manicure colors is insane - so many to choose from! I'll definitely be returning Update: one week later and my manicure looks like I got it done an hour ago. I think this might be the best manicure I've ever had. I'm giving a three because of the cleanliness of the establishment . Also the woman whom I think is the owner had a good attitude and so did the woman who finished my pedicure. Ok first let's start with parking . Well come on it's SAnta Monica guys. There's a few meter parking spaces out front . I've come twice with a girlfriend of mine and she seems to always find parking. However we work about 3 block away so this around 11am . First tome I came with her I got nothing done. I just came to keep her company . Tuesday comes and my girlfriend ask me to come along again and she suggested we get pedicures. I say sure why not the feet need some love lol. I usually at the nail salon every 2-3 weeks especially. I usually go near my home but sometimes withh ugh my schedule it gets hard whatever I'm babbling now. We get there the lady that will be doing my pedicure come off as pleasant and what not. I initial told her when she asked I didn't not want to cut down my toenails just file please. She replied ok. She took out a thin nail file and she's hardly filing and she's not going along the sides either. Then she starts to cut my nails with the clipper . My girlfriend and I looked at each other at the same time in confusion as she had heard my request earlier. I said excuse I actually didn't want my nails cute remember very polite . And it seems she gets irritated and she starts clipping my other nails again nOt rudely I said I'm sorry again I don't want them clipped if you could just file them and on the sides as well please. AnothEr woman starts telling her how she needs to do it once again she gets agitated and I'm just all confused like what the heck. A young lady steps in and she comes to finish the job. The other woman eventually walked away upset and never returned. I was glad the other young lady stepped in however would I return probably not. My friend kept apologizing which it wasn't her fault but she recommended the place. If I'm pasting for the service and I always tip I want it they way I requested. And I didn't ask for anything crazy just a proper filing that's all. Also the polish seemed a bit old. But thank to the young lady that finished the job. Also that day I had closed toe shoes and I asked for the disposal foam like sandals but they told me they ran out but that I could buy some flip-flops for four dollars no thanks I'm sure I could find some slippers in my car.I don't like giving bad reviews but I'm Honest about my experiences read more

Came in , was rushed through my manicure because a lady came in with a chipped nail they had to fix. I left with bloody cuticles and a bad gel polish job. Got home with my fingers feeling itchy and sore, went to the Dr and found out i got an infection from the cuts the woman had done on my cuticles with most probably dirty tools. I spent $55 on a gel manicure and only got a nightmare to deal with. Don't go to this place, there's a better nail salon around the corner on Broadway next to the Karate place. read more

I received a manicure/pedicure here 1 week ago for my birthday. The ladies here did an excellent job on my dipping powder nails and gel polish toenails. They took their time and used extra care, going above and beyond to make my spa experience as relaxing as possible. They ended services with long, extra therapeutic hands and feet massages! Got charged 95.00 for acrylic and pedi with massage. Donna and Linda added add ons w/o telling me. I asked for acrylic color, they added the gel without telling me it was a fee. I also didn't want long but donna suggested it and then told me it was extra at the end. Lastly, I asked for pointy and got round. 95.00 is way Way too expensive. Did not get a hand massage with mani, hands were dry when I left. Pretty mad. read more

I was in need of a pre-girl's out of town weekend manipedi & underarm waxer; this place was around the corner from my office. Clean, modern, well lit and across the way from Von's & Swingers. I had a great, deep clean manicure and pedicure. Both nail technicians did an excellent job and my polish dries naturally and relatively hard after 2 coats. I usually like 3, but I was in a hurry, and I hate when the polish gets wrinkled after touching something when it's not totally dry. They have a great selection of polishes: Essie, OPI, and a few others that are 7-free. They take credit card. Parking can be tough, it's Santa Monica. Meters or die. ‍ read more

I hate to leave a bad review in the wake of covid, I really do. However, please take your dollars elsewhere. I got a full set of nails with gel polish and my nails chipped and broke off the next day. By the third day 4 of my nails had snapped off. I called to ask if I could have them fixed and was told I would have to pay. Even more ridiculous, when I went in to have them removed I was charged $20. Awful customer service. read more

I have to update my review for this place and give it 5 stars. Yes, the price here is pretty steep but you absolutely get what you pay for! I've always left satisfied. They pay great attention to detail, take their time, and the results are always great =) And I actually do like all the workers here, half of them are from the OC (lol) and the other half from my area so our favorite topic for conversation is about the horrible traffic we endure =P read more

Simply put, I'm a guy who doesn't take the best care of my hands or feet. Dead skin, hang nails, dry/cracked cuticles, etc...I'll go once every month or two and when I walk out it looks like I've got brand new fingers & toes. It's such a good job that I've debated switching career paths to become a hand & foot model. Just sayin! read more

This has become my regular nail place since I moved to Santa Monica in August! I tried out a few others that had good reviews on yelp in the area, but none had a better Gel Manicure than Lily's. I'm pretty picky when it comes to how long Gel Maicure's last and mine last a good three weeks every time. And I don't feel like I'm damaging them as much as other salons. When you go in to have the gel removed they will soak your nails in Acetone over warm water and cover your hands with a towel. No smell or discomfort! A Gel Manicure and Pedicure is about $55 but worth the splurge! I prefer going on Sunday mornings because it's less busy and parking is free on the street. Good pedicures that will cost you 3 hours of time and Terrible staff! Was overcharging me $5-$7 dollars for 3 months. Claimed I put that as tip when I did not. I was under the impression that gel pedicures were $55. It wasn't until one day I was checking out and saw their menu and gel pedicures are $48... when questioned about this they blamed it on me giving them a tip. I thought maybe this is an honest mistake and came back again 3 weeks later. I called 3 hours prior to get pricing for gel mani pedi and was told $80 so I booked my appointment for that same day. My appointment was at 5:30 and they got me seated in a chair and had my feet in the water. It was almost 6 and my feet were still in the tub. This was going to be my first time getting a gel manicure here. I asked one of the ladies how much regular pedicure and gel manicure was and before she could begin talking to me. Another staff member said regular pedi gel manicure was $65 and gel manicure medi was $85. This was $5 on top of what they told me hours ago. On top of that she pointed out the gel on my toes and told me that's extra $10 to remove. So again they are trying to over charge me. This time it's $15. I explained that I've been coming here for months. I've never paid removal because it's always done there. I have referred 3 people to this salon and they also have never been charged a removal fee and will not be using this business as they are changing prices as they feel. read more

I've been lucky that the timing has aligned that when I'm running low, they're usually offering a "bank" deal (and their deals are great!) so I'll spend $1500 or $2200 at a time but that will last me for a good period. Now, I'm due for a treatment and moving soon, so I wanted to use up the end of my 'Tox bank and add a few extra units at full price to get to my typical treatment without re-upping another full bank until I know where I'm moving. As it turns out, ladies...they do NOT sell individual units! Laseraway has a policy of a minimum spend of $300 in units, even when paying full price, so that you will ALWAYS have money on the table with them. A classic ScamCity move. I'm shocked-I know this is a chain and a corporation so they don't really care, but I had taken them as such an honest company and I'm totally blown away. In the end, they win I guess, as I can't imagine continuing my relationship with this company after this. I think a smaller medspa or solo aesthetician is the way to go.
