This was my first experience with lymphatic drainage; it'd been recommended to try and reduce some of the swelling that wasn't resolving on its own, and I came across Marissa's site. Her space is calm and welcoming, and she instantly puts you at ease. She explained how the entire lymph system works, what can happen with an injury that can cause the lack of drainage I was experiencing, and the flow we'd be using during the entire process. She was very focused on comfort levels - temperature of the table, any pressure the drape might put on my ankle, and any areas that might be sensitive for me (physically or mentally/emotionally). Marissa is incredibly knowledgeable, competent, and intuitive. We worked through the flow, and much to my surprise I could feel it working - I could actually feel the sensations she had described *could* happen in several instances, and the amount of pressure needed for the drainage was incredibly light - far, far less pressure than in a Swedish massage, so no discomfort at all, even on injured tissue. At the end of the massage, when I looked at my right ankle, I was stunned to see it had symmetry again with my uninjured ankle - it had been swollen for 30 days. The area at the joint that was warm to the touch and felt "full" to me was completely flat. My only regret in this process is I didn't take before and after photos to show the difference. 24 hours later, the swelling remains 90% diminished from before the massage. I have a much higher range of motion, as the swelling had been prevented rotation. Things that caused my ankle to ache - like crossing my legs and having the injured ankle unsupported for more than 90 seconds - don't hurt. I cannot believe the difference this made; if it had been 25% as effective as it was I would have considered it to be a wild success. I would not hesitate to do lymphatic drainage (or any massage) with Marissa again, and would recommend her to any friend or family member.

I paid the $100 for the 90 mins but wanted to tip after. I left feedback to who I thought was the manager last time she gave me a massage. You can't choose who you want from online booking. Going forward I'll call and only go when Linda is available. The petite woman has long nails that hurt. She goes between being too rough and then too gentle. I've been getting deep tissue massages for a decade and I've never had pressure be too much so this wasn't that. Instead of pushing in and needing she will dig her nails in especially when massaging neck and shoulders then she pulls back hard with the nails gripping the most. I finally said something like oww that hurts! She didn't seem to understand what I said or check if I was okay. I had mentioned this all before months ago in person but nothing changed. When I walked in this morning and saw it was her my heart sank. I m primarily using this because I want her to make money.
