Came her halfway through the first week of a two week snowboard trip because I had taken a nasty fall after a string of jumps I hadn't scoped out before. My neck was killing me, and I have a history of neck injuries. I had tweaked it three weeks prior sleeping on it weird and it hasn't healed fully yet. Charlie was AMAZING. He dug into the neck, shoulder, back, arm, everywhere around it. I was a bit sore the next day, and then BOOM. Pain gone. I almost didn't believe it. Three weeks and nothing, then I jacked it up good in a little snowboard crash, and in one day Charlie had fixed it. I went back that night to get another massage before I left for the next spot, and my neck has been feeling good the rest of the trip. I love massages and try places all over the US because I travel for work. I went to this place and had a massage by Sam. It was good. This type of place is based on reflexology and pressure points. Typlically you leave your clothes on. I had a nice blouse on and the woman suggested I remove. And I did. The next time I wore a t shirt but the guy insisted I take it off. So I did. It was a different guy then Sam. I have a rule with massages, their hands can touch you but the rest of their body shouldn't be on you, except for a casual swipe or bump. Well this guy while my face was down had his crouch pumping on my head. It was completely inappropriate. And they say americans are too polite to do something. I let it go and marked up to never come back. Then he said "can I unhook your bra." I said NO...BUT HE DID ANYWAY! Owners should know this stuff but the woman wasn't there. I loved the male masseuse that was available. One of the best massages of my life. I wanted a chair massage and they had a chair in the hallway. They tried to sit me down there but I asked them to at least move it out of the main hall and behind a Shoji screen so I could try and relax. I'm glad I said something it made a big difference. The HUGE negative ending of my experience really was a pity because the massage was amazing. When I was leaving it was a $30 tab and I went to tip $5 extra on the machine because I had a great experience. The woman cashier asked me to please tip at least $6 WTF? Is one dollar really worth making your customer feel uncomfortable? They INSISTED and I allowed myself to get worked up ruining my relaxing experience. The woman claimed she was just following the bosses rules but her attitude was so rude I didn't care. I'm torn because I want to go back. I loved my masseuse and it's an inexpensive spot to get a FANTASTIC quality massage. But the younger cashier woman in her 20s talked down to me and is bad for business. My sister recommended this place and a masseuse named Peter. He wasn't available when I walked in at 10am on a Wednesday morning, and the place wasn't busy, with maybe one other customer. Everything was super clean and nice. They have at least 30 massage areas, each area containing two chairs/tables. I know the lady who walked me to my spot called someone who was there in under 5 minutes, which is how long my feet had been soaking in the warm water brought by the lady. Weng was my masseuse, and he did a great job working out the typical stress in my neck and shoulders and really working my lower back where the pain was at. I didn't tell Weng where my discomfort was, he was able to recognize it and work it out with some heavy pressure. I'm still sore the next day but the tightness is gone and my back feels 100% better. I have nothing but great things to say about my time at Aroma, it was one of the best massages I've had (and I've had many all over the world). For $40, this is a great deal. read more

I tried this place for the first time yesterday. Special full body massage for $30! It was hard to get in because they are very busy. I called three times and finally got someone. I got a same day appointment after work. I am not sure who I had as my masseuse as I did not understand the name. But she was wonderful! My neck is feeling 75% better and my whole body feels "taller." I will be going back. 20 minutes spent on head, feet and legs and back each. I paid cash and had a 20% tip ready of $6. I did receive an odd look and she asked for $32 and tip. I said "$30 special and $6 tip." I saw a frown, so I tipped $7. I do feel that a tip is discretionary, and 20% is really very fair. Hoping I can just pay next time without a frown. I love the place and the quality of service, so having customers return regularly is really icing on the cake. read more

For the price, it was a decent massage. $30 dollars for a head to toe massage. Be aware that this is NOT a salon level massage, you are getting a $30 dollar massage. They don't use a large sheet to cover you, it is a VERY small towel. If you are not comfortable being very exposed, I wouldn't recommend doing a full body. Also not the place for you If you are trying to relax. The massage rooms are not rooms, just divided by room dividers. Meaning you hear everything, including the phone ringing at the front desk, the people getting massages in the next room. Overall, you get what you pay for. My wife and I each had a one hour foot massage on a quiet Sunday afternoon and it was amazing. Even better it was a reasonable $30 each. Chinese foot massages are very unique and this place is very authentic to others I have had in China. First off they are very deep and vigorous. They get into every little muscle on your foot and calves and really seem to know all the right places to massage. To some it may even seem a little uncomfortable (unless you ask them to lighten up) but this is how it is supposed to be. You just breathe through it and after a while it feels wonderful. When it's all over your feet feel completely rejuvenated - like new! We are going to try to come here regularly. It's that good! read more

This is like those foot spa places all over California. You have to be comfortable with your body to go to one of these places. They just put a towel over you (no shirt on) while they're massaging you. This is one of those cheap Chinese foot spa places - don't expect a luxurious spa experience. The woman who massaged me had a firm touch and I felt soo much better after the massage. The place is a bit understaffed. My massager had to go up to the front a few times and serve the customers thus interrupting the massage, but it's one of those Chinese Foot Spa places so that's to be expected. I found this massage place online and it did get mixed reviews but I decided to give it a chance. It was a fabulous price and I have to say that the head to toe massage that I got was absolutely wonderful. They did a herbal foot soak at the same time that I was getting part of my upper body massage and then the masseuse moved down to my feet when the soak was done. It was very soft music playing it was clean and smelled nice inside and the lights were nice and down. Everyone might not consider the rather open style set up that they have with just privacy screens sectioning off each massage area, but it certainly didn't bother me no one was able to see anything that was going on in my space while I was getting my massage. I have to say that it was probably one of the best massages I've ever had. I went in at the beginning of February in 2020 and then of course the pandemic hit and I have not been able to go back. I'm ready to give them a call and see if they are back open for business and have appropriate safety protocols in place for me to get another massage. Definitely give these folks a try it's worth every penny of the small price that they are charging. read more

As stated in other reviews, I was very disappointed by the customer service and also the massage itself. I came in for a 30 minute foot massage only. They quoted me a rate of $20 if I paid in cash. The male masseuse had very long fingernails that continued to scratch me throughout the massage. At one point he actually used his nails to painfully dig into my toes...I have never seen this massage technique used before. He focused more on my calves than my feet. At the end of the service I gave them $22. Mainly because that was all the cash I had, but also because I felt the massage wasn't the best. I was told that it was expected I pay a minimum of $8 tip on top of the $20 service. I explained I didn't have enough cash. I also wish this would have been pointed out before the service. In short, I hope this business can raise their pricing to be able to pay the workers the amount they feel they should be paid. If you go in, just be ready to expect pressure to tip extra when leaving. read more

After the service they didn't want to return my change, pretending to not understand and smiling telling me goodbye. I refused to leave without my change!!!! And wrote down how much I was leaving for a tip. I think they should be reported to the BBB. I can almost guarantee you they want cash so they don't have to report their income to the IRS. Let me preface this review and say that the massage quality was good and expected; however, how payment was managed afterward was extremely disappointment and frustrating. We've been to Aroma multiple times before and have had overall good experiences. However, customer service received was terrible and I will not be returning again to support this local business. First off, my cousin made a reservation for us two and our mothers to enjoy a massage this morning. We asked and reserved for the 1hr body massage for $30 each for our moms and the 30min foot massage for $20 each for us, all to start at 9:30am. We arrived at 928a and no one was inside. Two staff members arrived a little after 930. They only could work on our moms despite confirming our reservation for 4. They started our mother's massages late and led them straight back to a massage table (not typical oversized chair). My cousin and I had to wait for an hour while they finished on our moms before they could work on us. Again, this was not what we requested and reserved the day before. When it came time to pay, they wanted to charge us $90 total for each couple (mom & daughter) - $60 for the 1-hour massage and $30 for our foot massage. We explained to them that it should be $60 total as we reserved and were confirmed for the 1-hour $30 massage special (as advertised on their website and on their store front). The owner/manager blamed it on the language barrier and mentioned that her employees didn't understand our request; so here she is, apologize and admitting that it was their fault but expected us to still pay the full amount. Our mothers didn't even get a full body massage. They just massaged their backs for 45 minutes and their head/faces for the remaining 15, so no foot massage/soak which is expected. I told her that this wasn't good customer service and that there were a number of factors that attributed to the disconnect and unexpected pricing. We told her we would like to come back and support if she'd support what they agreed to over the phone yesterday ($60 total per couple) but she said it would only take $10 off. We then didn't want to provide tip on top as we had a bad taste in our mouth with how this was all managed but she insisted that we pay at least $10. The thing is, we were willing to pay at least $20 each after all said and done for the massages but it was the principle. We left the establishment feeling coerced to pay $90 (including tip) and probably could've pushed back more but it's the last day of 2017 and I didn't want to make my last day upsetting. If I knew I was going to pay $60 for an hour chinese massage, I would've gone and got my moneys worth (e.g. ambiance, private room, oils, etc.). We felt like were taking advantage of intentionally and disrespected as customers. Sadly, I will not be returning to Aroma in the future and will take my business elsewhere. read more
