Silverlake Adult Daycare is an absolute blessing, and my family is forever grateful to them. My…read morefather spent some of his happiest days here, surrounded by wonderful peers and a staff that treated him with the utmost dignity. He loved the activities, the games, and the community. The director, in particular, treats everyone with an incredible level of respect and care. They truly treat your family like their own. Whenever my dad missed a day, they always reached out to check on him and let us know he was missed. When he recently passed away, the team even sent a gorgeous wreath for his funeral. They gave my dad immense joy until the very end, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Silverlake, for everything!

I went to check out this place and met with their director, Lester. He was very informative and and gave me a tour of the place. The vibe there was really good. The patients looks happy and every staff I saw/met seem very nice and caring to their patients. My Mom goes there everyday now and she is loving it. She said she felt safe and the staffs are amazing and so caring. One morning, my Mom's BP was high and she forgot to bring her meds with her. One of their nurse, Mark drove to my Mom's apartment and picked up her meds. I mean, that's above and beyond of what we expected how they take care of things for their patient. We are very lucky to have found this place.

My mom, a fiercely independent woman all her life was recently diagnosed with dementia. Although…read moreshe had been exhibiting quirky signs for the past year or so, my family and I chalked it up to normal aging. In the past year her utilities and cable services were being turned off, but it wasn't until I received a call from apartment management that rent had not been paid that I suspected things were not as should be. Shortly after clearing up issue with rent we discovered mom was speaking with magazine issues as if real. I was completely clueless on steps needed to get help for my mom. I started googling agency's related to elder care and placement and contacted Connections Care Home Referral. I spoke with Jason Bloom who patiently listened to me and gave me the most important piece of information that helped me through this journey. Do you have a Power of attorney for mom? Obtaining that document opened the doors I needed to doctors, social worker, and banking. Once doctors became involved, tests were done and mom was officially diagnosed with progressive dementia. The doctors declared mom as not being competent to handle personal or financial affairs and I needed to find a suitable placement for her. Jason once again gave me the great advice on what type of placement mom, needed. I admit at first I was hesitant about a board/care facility I wanted mom to have a placement as close to living independently as possible, so I was leaning more towards Assisted Living facilities. I also was in process of learning about the disease and was ignorant of how much it robs you of the person you love. Jason was on point the progression of my mom's dementia was at stage where traditional Assisted Living would not have worked for her. Jason and I had many discussions over about a 60 day period, and he sent me lots of lists of possible placements and he always checked status of any contacts I may have made. As I went through this process I began to have a better idea of the type of home that I would want for mom. Jason said give him a couple of days to look for me. Within that timeframe Nina contacted me saying Jason referred her to me. After weeks of visiting different homes and facilities I knew within 15 minutes that her place was the board/care I was looking for. I can't express my gratitude to Jason and Connections Care Referrals for helping me through this process. He was able to take into account location and price points to find what my family and I would be comfortable with for mom.

Home community excess center in Riverside, i believe is the city, referred my mom to Jason Bloom in Los Angeles. He walked us through the process of getting the help we needed from the VA. It was a heartbreaking and stressful time in our life, to see my amazing and loved father deteriorate. My mom and I needed assistance, we could no longer care for our father at home. For all of you who are in need of assistance, ask for Jason Bloom, he is our angel. Unfortunately, my father passed on Good Friday 2019. So my mom and i are reaching out to those who have helped us.
