My mother, who has Alzheimer's disease, came to Raya's Paradise in 2014, when she could no longer remain in one of the large, assisted living/memory care facilities due to her failing physical and mental health. When we found Raya's Paradise, for the first time since my mother's illness began, I felt that she was finally in a place where I no longer had to worry about her health and/or security. Thanks to the caring, attentive and professional caregivers at Raya's Paradise, my mother's physical health has stabilized. The caregivers ensure that my mother 's daily hygiene is taken care of properly and that her mediation is taken regularly and on time. And even though the Alzheimer's disease is progressing, the caregivers at Raya's Paradise continue to provide my mother, along with the other residents, with personalized care and supervised group activities which are both engaging and fun. These activities, which also help my mother with socialization, include singing with guest musicians, brain stimulation games, painting and physical exercise. Thus far, not one resident has gotten sick from the Covid virus. During the state-ordered quarantine, while the caregivers are continuing to provide the residents with kindness and care around the clock, the administrators of Raya's Paradise have now provided each of the Raya's Paradise facilities with a dedicated ipad to be used for facetime between the residents and their family members. Believe me, I feel much better now, knowing that I can still speak with and see my mother during these stressful times. The administration of Raya's Paradise is made up of respectful, sympathetic, courteous and well-educated people who continually strive to do their best to make sure that their residents have the best and most up-to-date care. In fact, of all of the facilities I've looked at, none have matched the ratio of residents to care-givers at each of the facilities (2 caregivers for every six residents). But perhaps most importantly is the fact that everyone at Raya's Paradise is dedicated to providing my mother, and all of the other residents, with the dignity and respect that they so well deserve, in a clean, safe and healthy living environment. Hugely overpriced. The caregivers are lovely and supportive but the management is detached and rarely communicates. I left multiple messages for manager Brian and he never returned my calls. For more than 10K/month I would expect more respect. The house is clean but the residents are plopped in front of a TV for the entire day with no activities or social interaction. Not worth the cost. read more

All I can say is WOW! My grandma turns 90 this October and has been living at Raya's for 1 year now. I couldn't be happier with the level of service and care she receives on a daily basis. After searching for a few months for a place to take my father. I was referred to Raya's Paradise, I called and made an appointment in order to see the facility A girl by the name of Narine was kind to get me an appointment as I went for my appointment she was there who greeted me with respect and told me all about their staff and how wonderful this place is. After careful consideration and a walk-through I realize she was right. Everyone that I talk to was very kind and courteous the place was very clean I felt like I was in my own home, so after I did some of the paperwork I decided this was it this was the best choice that I can make for my father. My husband was a resident at Raya's Paradise for nine months. He was at another facility for a year previously until we discovered this wonderful residence. We met Monica and she guided us to a very nice, immaculate house in West Hollywood. Lunch was being served. It was so inviting and heartwarming. Raya's Paradise is an incredibly wonderful residence for a loved one who cannot live independently and in need of constant care. Jasmine, the administrator, is always present and most efficient. She cares greatly for the residents and is always available. The resident staff is led by Hasmik Nazaryan. She is the most amazing, capable woman. She cares deeply for the residents and will do whatever is necessary for their care and comfort. The nursing staff is also excellent. My husband needed several medical visits daily at Rayas. Armand, the nurse, was remarkable. He was gentle, caring and always dependable. Other nurses were also excellent. The caregivers were well prepared for their sometimes difficult job. The ratio of caregiver to resident was small so they could be very attentive and helpful. They always demonstrated a very caring and professional approach to the residents. The daily activities were well planned and enjoyable. Holidays are always celebrated with great anticipation and enthusiasm. The food is always prepared with great care. Fresh fruit , vegetables are always represented in their well balanced diet. Rays's Really is a paradise for a loved one who cannot live at home. It is more than a five star residence. read more

Raya's Paradise is top-notch board and care. One of the best in LA. I've visited their different homes and was so impressed with the cleanliness and friendly staff. Raya's also does a lot to be tech-savy. They've utilized different aids in their bedrooms and showers to help patients who aren't mobile move around easily and without pain. When my grandma became frail and unable to care for herself I was lost and not sure where to begin my search. I wasn't sure what exactly she needed so o began my search at assisted living facilities. My mother needed more care than her facility could offer over 8 1/2 years ago coming out of the hospital. Michael Gamburd was the first to return my call. Once I visited the home, there was no doubt. He picked up her clothes and made my job so much easier. Now 8 1/2 years later she is still there. She improved immediately after receiving the care and family like atmosphere.
