I saw the reviews and thought this is a great place to go to my Mother's Day manicure. The…read moreluminary manicure is supposed to last longer so I thought this was a great option even though it's more expensive than a traditional manicure or gel. First off the luminary manicure has very limited colors, all beige, skin color and very light pink. I was concerned my natural nails would show but Zoe said they would t (they do from my perspective) but that was ok. In reading the info it said the luminary gel was a soak off option so it didn't damage your nails, not so. I am adverse to the drill file and that was used for the cuticle and top of the nail and when I get them redone that is how they "fill" the luminary gel just to let people know so they are not thinking there is no drilling. Both those thing were not the problem though. She asked if I wanted all my nails even up to my broken nail I said no they were even up to my broken nail, she basically said they will grow out by the time I need a fill. Irregardless that's not what I wanted. That's not the real problem either, it was frustrating but not the issue. As I was walking out, I noticed the underside of my nails were filthy. I have never paid $70 for a manicure and had the underside of my nails not be cleaned. I was picking the attached that was after I picked the dirt out from under my nails. there were areas of cut cut. There were several that were not straight or filed properly. You can see the attached pictures but there's areas next to my cuticle. They don't look good for manicure. It should've looked much better than it did. I could have had this caliber of service at my local nail studio in the strip mall. This was suppose to be a high end manicure and that was not the experience I had.

From the time I walked in I didn't feel welcome. I was told "they didn't have time." Really? You're open for business and you offer the service but, at least for me, you didn't have time??? I've never heard anything like this. I've heard "we're booked so can you come back or we can be ready in about 30 minutes" but never "we don't have time." The energy was off anyway. Vibe was not the best from the time I walked in. Maybe they do good work, but at least for me, for some unknown reason, they didn't "have time" to serve me and ya know what...I have no time to try them again but I didn't have time to write this review, but I made time for something important for potential customers to know.

I had an incredible time at this lovely little spot! Not only is the actual place extremely cozy,…read morebut the owner Mylynn really allows you to feel really comfortable the immediate moment you step into the door. During my visit, I was able to get the Microdermabrasion process. With this process, the outer layer of dead skin cells are removed from your face in a very easy, soothing, and relaxing process, which helps discoloration and other forms of skin damage. She utilizes various lotions, an abrasive form of instrument, as well as an electric current in order to fulfill this process while simultaneously massaging your face and upper body. All of the ointments and lotions she used made my skin feel amazing and refreshed after each individual step. The massages that came along with the facial were only a special addition to an already great experience. It lasted about an hour overall, but once the process ends, you will definitely feel sad that the heavenliness is over! In addition to facials, she also specializes in waxing services and nail care. Her spot is in a nice area within Solana Beach and also has a private lot right in front, which is very convenient for customers. Overall though, I really want to emphasize how sweet and genuine Mylynn is as well as very knowledgeable about health and beauty. She gave me a ton of advice on how to treat my skin, but also truly cared about my physical AND my mental well-being, so thank you Mylynn! I'll definitely be coming back in the future and I recommend anyone to visit this spot!
