I trusted Lauren's with my manicure for my wedding day (big thank you to Amy for her gorgeous work). I never hesitate to recommend their exceptional services to friends (and family). I've even brought my husband here for the occasional spa pedicure, and now the nail techs frequently ask after him whenever I visit. I typically choose simple designs, but when I've chosen a more adventurous nail service the techs at Lauren's have done a beautiful job. Make sure to bring an inspiration photo (or doodle) if you've got a specific nail art request! The salon itself is spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. I also appreciate the option to make an appointment via text message, and they always endeavor to fit in an appointment for me, even at the last minute. The prices are the best I've found in the city for the quality of work. I have to admit that I was inspired to (finally) write this review after witnessing an incredibly rude customer berating the lovely staff who I have come to appreciate so much over the years. A year ago I mentioned in my review that the fills didn't work out well for me, so I stopped doing fills altogether and now just remove the Gel-X and get a fresh set each time. A few months later, my friend and I decided to come back for birthday pedicures because I really did want to see Susan again. I was asked to pick out a color and directed to a spa chair for my pedicure. I noticed a younger female employee sitting nearby, watching a male technician work on another client's pedicure. However, she ended up being the one assigned to me. She was very kind and polite, but it quickly became clear that she was inexperienced. For basic gel, would take about 90 mins versus actual design can take 2-3 hours (depending on what the design is). She does such a great job with my nails and always makes sure if I'm okay. I've been going a few times on a monthly basis (4-6 weeks) and I always look forward to it.
