I am super picky about my nails and genuinely I've never left the Nail Salon being happy until I started going to this Nail Salon. Jayda is amazing! I'm really disappointed with my experience at Radiance. I'm usually not someone who leaves bad reviews because I understand that small businesses depend on their reviews, and I don't want to negatively impact someone's livelihood. However, after giving it some time and monitoring how badly my nails have been doing, I felt like I needed to share my experience. I had a pedicure with the extended massage, but unfortunately it didn't feel like a massage at all--it was mostly just scrubbing on my legs. I also had gel polish that needed to be removed, and the nail technician was extremely rough while filing it off. At one point, the filing actually hurt. She filed my nails down so much that they are now extremely thin, and one of my nails is already breaking off. What makes this especially frustrating is that I had been taking a break from nail services. I had only gotten gel once in the previous six months, had it serviced just once, and my natural nails were otherwise very healthy and strong. They had never broken or become this thin before. Now all of my nails are noticeably thin, even with polish and top coat, and I genuinely regret going to Radiance. I really wanted to give the salon the benefit of the doubt and see if my nails would recover, but after watching them continue to break and deteriorate, I feel this experience is worth sharing. read more

Gave Ana a $5 bill and requested $1 back. She was so rude in handing me the $1, she didn't even look at me nor say thank you for the tip. The manicure was so bad but still wanted to leave her something. I didn't ask for a massage and my nails were already extremely short, all she had to do was buff them and paint them. I've had a fine experience my last few visits at this salon. Nothing fancy, I did always find that my nails had small cuts on them which was frustrating but not super uncommon for me so I continued to go back. Today I called and asked for a dip manicure, they selected a time for me to come in and I showed up on time. I was told they were running behind and it would be 20 minutes. I was then not seen for 50 minutes while other customers, one without an appointment were taken before me. This was annoying, especially considering I was not offered water and the manager was off in a corner watching football (you could hear it from across the salon). When it was finally my turn, I was offered a water (finally!!) but my nails came out slightly bulky and just not cute. After today's experience I won't be returning. read more

I don't recommend this place. It's not that the shop lacks color options -- the problem was that the lady (Sydney) made no effort to find a shade close to the photo I showed her or to communicate with me to make sure I was satisfied. Instead, she simply said my nails were too short for a gradation and that they didn't have the color, but they had "pink." That was basically all she said. There was no attempt to match the color, no suggestions, and no effort to understand what I wanted. Her attitude was very blunt, and she didn't seem interested in my preferences at all. She kept speaking in her own language to someone else instead of paying attention to me, which made her seem unprofessional. She charged me an extra $15 for an awful airbrush color that didn't look like peach at all. I still tipped her, but this experience was very disappointing, and I won't be returning here again I enjoyed talking to the guy(owner maybe..) from the reception and he assigned a lady who can do the design last time and I liked the result, but the attitude Sydney holds today is not likeable toward customer. read more

Anna aka "Moon" is the best nail tech Ive ever had in 39 years of living. SN: Lily is amazing and does nails extremely well too! But besides them, no one has ever given me perfection of my nails quite like Anna. I have bigger nail beds in that they curve down deeper on the sides so it takes extra care to be able to do my nails and make them skinny and sharp and pretty and not look big.... I am very specific about it and I will tip very well to have a nail tech who listens and doesnt get rude and act annoyed when I ask for extra attention to that detail like almost all of them historically will do -- i dont mean at Radiance, i just mean in general. Ive had some techs come close but I still end up having to file my nails on the sides when I get home to get them as skinny as I want them to look. Anna just did a set on me that is absolutely flawless. I didn't need to file them at alllll and they are thin (not bulky) and sharp and look absolutely fire. I came in 12:50 for a full set. My artist Emily took me in and everything seemed okay until I asked for the design. It seemed like she didn't want to do any of it, telling me to only pick a few colors and no gems. I wasn't aware I was limited to that after being told by front desk that it was okay. I also said that it didn't have to be exact just something similar. I loved the colors but it looked very unfinished. After mentioning the fact that I wanted gems, Emily was very annoyed of my request. I felt unwelcomed and a burden to the point I just wanted to take off the nails and cry. I thought maybe it was because it was going to be expensive, but it was 90$ I would've paid over 100$ if it meant that I was going to be treated with better care. Extremely disappointed. I went to this salon for the first time last week and the nail lady ( I forgot who) shaved my nails down so so thin and I didn't even realize till after she did it. My nails bent really easily and I had to trim my nails afterwards because I couldn't really use my nails for anything without it hurting. One week in, two of my nails chipped in half. I'm really upset because my nail growth has been reset. Also I just think the gel colors here look like nail polish and not gel polish. Not a great selection, super small. I came in to get an acrylic set done for my birthday tomorrow and it is probably one of the best sets I've ever gotten!! My nail artist (I'm pretty sure her name is Sydney, but I could be wrong) did such an amazing job. She took so much time and care into making the set even and polished, and the artwork couldn't have been more perfect. It was a bit pricey, but in my opinion it was worth it, they are exactly what I wanted. Everyone working there were very communicative and I really appreciated their transparency, especially in their pricing. I really appreciated how I was given an exact price for my set before we started, after talking about what I wanted to get done (patterns, colors, etc.) I'm so pleased with my experience and I have not been able to stop staring at my nails since I left the salon! Jayda, this is simply not true. If I had any uplifting of any nail, it would have been minor enough to simply repair. Your technician fabricated, after ripping off a few nails "Ah, see? Bacteria!". Like I explained, what she saw was the damage done to the fragile upper layer of my nails when the artificial ones were removed. Again, I am well aware of what fungus ("bacteria" can not be seen with the naked eye) looks like--I had none nor was in danger of getting any. Let me preface this by saying that I went in excited to get acrylic nails for the first time by a technician that I had high hopes for after having read so many reviews about her work, but I left feeling sad and regretful as this was easily one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I felt unwelcomed from the moment I was seated. Since it was my first time at this nail salon, I was eager to meet the nail tech that I had requested for, and made a point to confirm with the tech who seated me, only to be ignored when I asked if she was indeed Jayda. With little to no greeting, she reached for my hand and started buffing the edges of my nails before hurriedly attaching the artificial nails. However, since it was my first time getting acrylic nails, I was under the assumption that she was simply making sure that the artificial nails were the correct fit, so I asked if she was planning on trimming my nails beforehand. Instead of a gentle explanation as to what she was doing, she asked in annoyance if I would prefer that she did. After I confirmed that I wanted to trim my nails beforehand (as to avoid visible double nails underneath), she gave me an exasperated look over her face mask before proceeding to briskly trim my nails in an annoyed manner to the point where I was scared she was going to accidentally cut me. I then asked if she could also file away the jagged edges, which I would think would be the next best course of action, but this seemed to irritate her even more. I was willing to look past the initial interaction, but her irritable response at such a simple request made me feel like I had done something wrong. Throughout the duration of my service, Jayda would take multiple phone calls from clients and would abruptly stop working on my nails to pencil in future appointments for other clients. Her distracted state led to her lack of attention to detail on my nails, which caused her to cut me in three different places [see photos attached]. And to add to all that, her frequent change in tasks also made me feel like a huge inconvenience as a client, which is not how a client should ever be left feeling. I understand that as a business owner, you are required to wear multiple hats, however, if you are currently tending to a client, your client should be your main focus. In the case that there is an overbearing amount of work, there should be a dedicated receptionist, especially if it's detracting from a customer's paid experience. There were times where she'd answer my questions in a condescending tone, which left me feeling anxious and at the edge of my seat throughout the appointment to the point where she had to tell me to relax my fingers multiple times. By the end of it all, I was instructed to wash my hands, but when I came back, I found another client seated with my phone moved to the front desk, only my bag was still at the station. I had to ask Jayda's next client if they could hand me my belongings. When I went up to pay, I was expected to pay tip. Tip is contingent on quality of service and customer satisfaction, it is not a given. I've heard of the "assembly line" issue at nail salons, but this was my first time experiencing it. tldr: Jayda made me feel like an inconvenience and left me at the edge of my seat throughout the duration of my appointment. I've never felt so unvalued as a client, and left feeling sad and regretful. I would give negative stars if I could. Needless to say, I will not be returning. read more

It is always a pleasure when businesses listen to their customers' feedback and Radiance is definitely one of those places. I had an unfortunate situation where technician denied any nail art a month ago but Jayda, the owner, was very quick to respond and rectify the issue. I was able to come back, get super cute design done (going to week three now and still no chip, *knock on the wood*) and left happy after. If you do plan on getting any nail art done make sure to specify that in your request so salon can assure you get an appropriate tech who can do it for you.
