I give this disgusting place one star only because that's as low as it goes. Driving home from Knoxville and decided to stop at Li'l Jo's - eat in the bar and watch the last of the UT basketball game. This is a Wednesday evening about 7:30 pm. Some guy in the bar area sitting at table and is so disgusting drunk. Whatever but then he opens his foul mouth and out proceeded a continuous string of GD, MFers, Aholes, etc. The waitress came by and I said to her "Really"? and she pretty much ignored me. The man proceeded to curse throughout our entire meal! The waitress came by again and I said directly to her "what is wrong with your management that they can't call 911 and get this nasty drunk out of this establishment. He is disturbing my meal and I had had enough with the use of "GD" we're they going to take care of it. The waitress went and got an older blonde lady supposed manager and she began to mix numerous shots - I said to her I would strongly encourage you to think about continuing to serve this obviously intoxicated man. Her response was - "he's my friend and he has a ride home". Well if she is the type of management the owner of this place wants - so be it! I won't be back. I am not a prude but really - I hate nasty drunks with foul mouth worse than anything. Girlfriend if this is your friend, you might want to reconsider your life choices! read more

This is the best BBQ restaurant around here! I went for dinner while camping at a nearby state park. There are not many restaurants around here, and this looked the best out of the 4 options. Best sweet tea I've ever had! I am very glad I picked Li'l Jo's! The waitress was very friendly and made drinks very quickly. The food took a reasonable amount of time for 3 people. One of my friends side items was wrong, but the waitress remade it so quickly, it was as if it never happened! Everything tasted so amazing! The kids meal is a great deal, and comes with an ice cream cone. Overall, I highly recommend Li'l Joes. read more

Long story short, we finally had the chance to come to Lil Joe's and it was amazeballs! We got the fried ravioli appetizer and it was delicious. We went with the mushroom pizza and it was perfect. The service was great, the locals were super friendly and everything was very clean. We drove an hour to visit and will for sure go back. read more

Really enjoy this place, it was a little confusing the first time we went there because they have two different sides to the restaurant one loud and one quiet. After being here a few times I enjoy both sides with the family. They also have a very big outside seating area. The food was good and the owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. I had the pork ribs and brisket slices Ribs were well smoked and firm. Brisket slices were too dry for me. Vinegar based Coleslaw was good, home made chips were ok. Service was friendly and they quickly took my order. I had my takeout ready in 10 minutes. I will go again. read more

The food is always amazing. Service is really good most days. You have to try there pizzas, just can't be beat.

Positives- our server was on top of it and very attentive. The owner, I think, came over to also ask how we were doing. The food was eh. We got bbq, ribs, and a hot dog. All of these items were just fine. Not lots of flavor. Some of the sides were decent (baked beans), but the bread was more burned than toasted. I know there aren't lots of options in this area, so it is a wonderful addition, but I do feel they could do better. Their menu is EXTENSIVE, which I think may be part of the problem. If you have a menu with so many items, it is hard to do anything REALLY well. read more

Ok, this little hidden gem is a must. They have music playing l, live karaoke on Saturdays. Huge portions of food. Our waitress was sweet. She made a couple of mistakes but never lost her smile. I bought a shirt that says " Come on in and bite my big ol' butt" written on a pink pig. She brought our check and forgot to charge or bring my shirt. She had to bring a second check. We left her tip on the first one. When she brought the shirt and check, my husband, trying to be funny, said we're not leaving a tip (for the shirt). She lowered her head and said I wasn't expecting a tip. My husband died laughing and tried to fix the misunderstanding. Amazing food, great service, great value. read more

Wife ordered the coconut shrimp with onion rings and garlic mashed taters. I ordered the 14 Oz ribeye with chips. I also got a 32 Oz beer for $4.50. The steak was perfect. The shrimp was amazing. The onion rings and chips were homemade, crispy, and awesome. The waitress was fast and attentive and had a great sense of humor. Some of the best catfish and mixed drinks I've ever tasted came from this restaurant!!! As for bbq or literally anything else..it was very lacking. Customer service is poor for the most part. I wish they would hire employees and actually keep them instead of running them off. Had the "Dude". It's a hamburger steak with a couple od sides. Have enjoyed it on a couple of occasions. Haven't found a better one yet. This place is awesome on every level! We showed up just as they were closing and they were as pleasant as could be. We had been driving from Ohio to Norris Lake for the weekend and they were the only place still open in this little town. We enjoyed the food so much that we went back three days later! The pork butt sandwich is terrific and the Mac and Cheese is to die for! I only wish the sides were a little bigger. Make sure you try all three homemade sauces!! Based on a recommendation from a friend, we decided to try it. I can only speak to our experience, but the ribs were so tough i could only shave off pieces and the flavor was nonexistent. Great little place with friendly owners and staff. We usually end up here after church almost every Sunday and also sometimes through the week. Prices are reasonable and the barbeque is great with large portions. I usually get my usual which is Chicken Leg Quarters. It comes with two sides and bread and is only $6. There Thanksgiving Sunday which is Turkey, dressing, potatoes, green beans, slaw, and cranberry sauce is available every Sunday and is awesome. My wife also loves the chili cheese fries. Its not often that I go to a barbecue place where I like all of the sides, and the meat, and the atmosphere and the service. Everything tastes "authentic" or home made. Great smoke flavor in the meat, and its perfectly cooked.(tried the pork butt, chicken and ribs) so good that you don't even need to disguise it with the bbq sauce. The restaurant itself is also very clean and the staff are genuinely friendly, it feels like you are at a family cookout. It was definitely work the trip a little bit north of knoxville. PS: In house bakery, with delicious desserts at reasonable prices and gigantic portions. I'm talking dinner plate sized slices of cake. read more
