The desserts use to be a nice size and now because of his greediness he cut them back. He also serves his mixed drinks in little plastic cups scared that you might get one drop of alcohol that you didn't pay for. read more

Everything was great. Food, service, and prices we really good. I really enjoy their pizza too!

Good food! Service was good, wait time was acceptible, beer prices are unbeatable, and pizza, fish, burger, sides, all are great!

It is a nice little place off of a highway. The food is real good. I would go again. They say it's bbq but they seem to have just about everything. They make their own desserts. I got the cinnamon roll cheesecake and we fought over who got to eat more of it. read more

Li'l Jo's BBQ - Sour grape schnapps is gone! PBR is next. - Barbeque Near Me - Maynardville, Tennessee

You will not be disappointed in the food or the service. There are many foods to choose from. The pizza is so yummy. The servers are very polite and friendly. The ambiance of Lil Jo's makes you feel like you belong. Go when they have a band playing and the music makes your feet want to dance. Lil Jo's is a wonderful place to eat and where you can relax after a long day of work. read more

Great food! Owners are super nice! Servers are Great, very friendly. A local place if you are in Maynardville TN you need to try.

We ordered take out from here. Little pricy. BBQ where I'm from is a little cheaper. The food was good. Looks like there some locals that eat here for lunch so that was encouraging for me. read more

Food was very good, we got pulled pork and chicken. Side dishes of potato salad, carrots, fried okra and mashed potatoes are also yummy. Great service. read more

This is the best BBQ restaurant around here! I went for dinner while camping at a nearby state park. There are not many restaurants around here, and this looked the best out of the 4 options. Best sweet tea I've ever had! I am very glad I picked Li'l Jo's! The waitress was very friendly and made drinks very quickly. The food took a reasonable amount of time for 3 people. One of my friends side items was wrong, but the waitress remade it so quickly, it was as if it never happened! Everything tasted so amazing! The kids meal is a great deal, and comes with an ice cream cone. Overall, I highly recommend Li'l Joes. read more

I give this disgusting place one star only because that's as low as it goes. Driving home from Knoxville and decided to stop at Li'l Jo's - eat in the bar and watch the last of the UT basketball game. This is a Wednesday evening about 7:30 pm. Some guy in the bar area sitting at table and is so disgusting drunk. Whatever but then he opens his foul mouth and out proceeded a continuous string of GD, MFers, Aholes, etc. The waitress came by and I said to her "Really"? and she pretty much ignored me. The man proceeded to curse throughout our entire meal! The waitress came by again and I said directly to her "what is wrong with your management that they can't call 911 and get this nasty drunk out of this establishment. He is disturbing my meal and I had had enough with the use of "GD" we're they going to take care of it. The waitress went and got an older blonde lady supposed manager and she began to mix numerous shots - I said to her I would strongly encourage you to think about continuing to serve this obviously intoxicated man. Her response was - "he's my friend and he has a ride home". Well if she is the type of management the owner of this place wants - so be it! I won't be back. I am not a prude but really - I hate nasty drunks with foul mouth worse than anything. Girlfriend if this is your friend, you might want to reconsider your life choices! read more

Love the food and atmosphere. Servers work hard to make sure your taken care of. Fun Bingo and Karaoke nights.

My first visit. I thought the food was very good and the wait staff was very friendly. They were out of chicken wings and brisket (an absolute no-no for a BBQ joint) and it was only 4:30 in the afternoon. Tap beer selection wasn't great. read more

I had the pork ribs and brisket slices Ribs were well smoked and firm. Brisket slices were too dry for me. Vinegar based Coleslaw was good, home made chips were ok. Service was friendly and they quickly took my order. I had my takeout ready in 10 minutes. I will go again. read more

Great food and family ambience , great customer service and good family atmosphere while dining here.

Really enjoy this place, it was a little confusing the first time we went there because they have two different sides to the restaurant one loud and one quiet. After being here a few times I enjoy both sides with the family. They also have a very big outside seating area. The food was good and the owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. We look forward to trying more items out. read more

Positives- our server was on top of it and very attentive. The owner, I think, came over to also ask how we were doing. The food was eh. We got bbq, ribs, and a hot dog. All of these items were just fine. Not lots of flavor. Some of the sides were decent (baked beans), but the bread was more burned than toasted. I know there aren't lots of options in this area, so it is a wonderful addition, but I do feel they could do better. Their menu is EXTENSIVE, which I think may be part of the problem. If you have a menu with so many items, it is hard to do anything REALLY well. read more

The food is always amazing. Service is really good most days. You have to try there pizzas, just can't be beat.

Ok, this little hidden gem is a must. They have music playing l, live karaoke on Saturdays. Huge portions of food. Our waitress was sweet. She made a couple of mistakes but never lost her smile. I bought a shirt that says " Come on in and bite my big ol' butt" written on a pink pig. She brought our check and forgot to charge or bring my shirt. She had to bring a second check. We left her tip on the first one. When she brought the shirt and check, my husband, trying to be funny, said we're not leaving a tip (for the shirt). She lowered her head and said I wasn't expecting a tip. My husband died laughing and tried to fix the misunderstanding. Amazing food, great service, great value. read more

Pretty dang good joint to get a BBQ and Mayo sandwich. You'll catch me here on most Saturday nights for Karaoke. I've got most of Bob Segar's tunes memorized, so I don't even need to use the screen. #thedukeapproves read more

Great food and lots of activities throughout the week. They have bingo on Tuesday and it's free to play! Thursday is band night and Saturday is karaoke. Wait staff is friendly and like I said the food is delicious. Service is great! read more

Wife ordered the coconut shrimp with onion rings and garlic mashed taters. I ordered the 14 Oz ribeye with chips. I also got a 32 Oz beer for $4.50. The steak was perfect. The shrimp was amazing. The onion rings and chips were homemade, crispy, and awesome. The waitress was fast and attentive and had a great sense of humor. I payed $250 dollars for a disappointing dinner at a fancy restaurant last night and I could have gotten way better food here for 1/4 the price. read more

We love Lil Jo's BBQ! Staff is very friendly and tries hard to provide fast service. Cute, homey decor and delicious food! We love the Taco salad and pizzas but it's all good! read more

Some of the best catfish and mixed drinks I've ever tasted came from this restaurant!!! As for bbq or literally anything else..it was very lacking. Customer service is poor for the most part. I wish they would hire employees and actually keep them instead of running them off. This is a local restaurant for me and I'd love to give them more business but since I always have my kids and it's not a family friendly place...makes it kinda difficult to find a reason to stop in. read more

Had Curtis cater a dinner for my son before he left for the Navy and it couldn't have been better. They did 2 prime ribs chicken quarters and ribs. Everyone commented on how great everything was and everyone at lil joes couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. read more

This is a really cool place and a good value for the money. The steak I had was excellent.

Well I sat down and immediately enjoyed the nice atmosphere. The waitress took my order of regular pork sandwich, a catfish fillet and deep fried okra. She came back to tell me they are out of okra. I changed to Joys Coke slaw. All tastes wonderful. This is a place where everyone knows everyone except me. My bill was not that bad. The new server was great. read more

Just average all the way around. Sides nothing special, so you would think the smoked pork would overcompensate for that. Nope, couldn't tell it even had smoke flavor. The owner was even talking to patron /friends about starting to make pizzas in the near future. Just try to do one thing right...please! read more

All around delicious! Braught my family here last week and we already want to go back this weekend!

Great barbecue, very friendly service. Really love the flavor, everything that I've eaten has been very good. Today had smoked pork butt and brisket along with with coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans. It was all great! I have had smoke turkey before and it was really good, too. Prices are very good as well. The portions are good at a right price. I really recommend this restaurant. read more

This place is awesome on every level! We showed up just as they were closing and they were as pleasant as could be. We had been driving from Ohio to Norris Lake for the weekend and they were the only place still open in this little town. We enjoyed the food so much that we went back three days later! The pork butt sandwich is terrific and the Mac and Cheese is to die for! I only wish the sides were a little bigger. Make sure you try all three homemade sauces!! Hard to find terrific food, and service combined at these prices with local hospitality. read more

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we decided to try it. I can only speak to our experience, but the ribs were so tough i could only shave off pieces and the flavor was nonexistent. Wife's brisket was grey and dry and basically inedible. Could have been a bad night, very hesitant to try again. read more

The food was okay. We ask for several side dishes and they were out of them. This isn't the first time we have had that issue, but we will likely not return. read more

Great little place with friendly owners and staff. We usually end up here after church almost every Sunday and also sometimes through the week. Prices are reasonable and the barbeque is great with large portions. I usually get my usual which is Chicken Leg Quarters. It comes with two sides and bread and is only $6. There Thanksgiving Sunday which is Turkey, dressing, potatoes, green beans, slaw, and cranberry sauce is available every Sunday and is awesome. My wife also loves the chili cheese fries. Desserts are plentiful and delicious. Oh, Btw, the ribs are good too. Highly recommend the drive to Maynardville to eat at this lil gem. read more
