Perfect place to grab a frozen treat after hiking! The flavors are plentiful, with all the traditional choices plus some unique options. I got The Elvis, which is a combo of banana, peanut butter, and fudge. My wife got the Bears in the Woods, which is cinnamon, honey, and honey graham crackers. Are used to love going to Liz back when I lived on Capitol Hill but ever since I moved to the Highlands, I just don't make it over there anymore. However, they have a Conifer location, which is luckily on the way back to Denver from our cabin. I had forgotten how yummy their ice cream is. The person serving the ice cream was friendly. My wife and I visited this ice cream shop for the first time yesterday. The shop was fairly convenient off of Rt. 285 E in Conifer (though it was a pain getting 285 to go onto a small road, under the road bridge, onto another road, and then on to another road to get to the strip mall where the ice cream shop was), it was located on the first floor of the two-story strip mall, the outside of the shop was decorated fairly well, we were not welcomed upon entering, the employee was not friendly at all and didn't smile and didn't ask us how she could help us, our ice cream choices were delicious but exorbitantly expensive ($16.78 for a cup with two scoops of ice cream, and a cone with two scoops), the dining room have adequate seating and was clean, the restroom was clean, and no music was playing. read more

I used to go here more frequently, but there was a short time when they did not have vegan flavors - or so I was told - so I had not been in for a while. I went in the other day to drop something off for an employee and was stoked to see that they had the Vegan Salty Cookie ice cream again! The girl behind the counter was super sweet and made sure that I got my money's worth! Even just passing by, the smell of the fresh waffle cones being made wafts through and tantalizes your senses. When it's warm out, there is a bench and the wall along the sidewalk makes for a good seat to enjoy your ice cream. During the winter and chillier times, there are a few seats inside...Or you can get a pre-packaged pint to take home to enjoy when you are snuggled in front of your fireplace. read more

Best ice cream in the Rockies. Then why 3 stars? Well, I think I got four spoonfuls out of my scoop (very very small portions). The picture actually makes the scoop look decently sized but I will assure you, this was the largest of my family's. Workers were apparently very unhappy to be working, as frowns and "we don't do samples" was their uniform. If staff was nicer, scoops were normal (even just average sized), and samples were offered, this would be a 5 star review. Hopefully I will update this rating next time I'm in the area. read more

Liks has a great selection of ice cream, and waffle cones at a reasonable price. They have a small seating area inside and also have good hours for that late night craving. We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon after taking the scenic way home from skiing. It wasn't too busy but a constant flow of people, heaps of flavours to chose from. The man was vary nice and patient with me - it's ice cream, I'd try them all if I could! I only tried 4, pineapple upside down cake, coconut peanut brittle, caramel Irish stout and blackberry pecan. I liked the Irish stout and blackberry pecan the best, the others had great flavours but the coconut peanut brittle was more peanut than coconut. I think I should have got the Irish stout over blackberry but it was still good. My hubby got the dulce de leche in a waffle cone, the ice cream was delicious!! I am a bit picky about my ice cream flavors, and the staff let me try multiple samples to find the one I wanted. They are very generous with their toppings on their sundaes. Took home a half gallon of the Spumomi ice cream, it was excellent. They also have vegan ice cream options available. There was a rush while we were visiting and the staff remained polite, friendly, and helpful. They broke into teams to make sure everyone was served as quickly as possible. Good teamwork. It got a bit loud, so we left before finishing, but this is no fault of the business. Location is clean, plenty of seating. We will be back in the future. read more

I'm a big fan of the Cheesman Park location of Liks. We happened to be coming back from the mountains and wanted to check this out. Going towards Denver on 285 it's not the most convenient spot to get to. A Liks Ice Cream in Conifer?! I never thought I'd see the day... If this had been here when I lived in Conifer I would have been here EVERY DAY! While I'm sure this is a popular high school hangout, it was empty on our visit on a Friday afternoon. The lady who helped us was attentive and friendly. And, as expected, the ice cream was quite yummy! I tried the Cheeseman flavor (strawberry w/ graham cracker) and I'd highly recommend it if they happen to be serving it when you visit. They have a pretty diverse selection; you could come many many times and never have the same thing twice. I'm sure every flavor is great. Whether you live in Conifer, or are just passing through, a visit to Liks is time well spent. And for you all Denverites, they also have a location downtown. I haven't been to the Denver location yet, but if it's anything like this one - I can't wait to go! Nestled in a shopping area in Conifer, this is a perfect spot to fit into your road trip or to take a break from driving. The customer service is awesome. Everyone has always been super kind and helpful. Now, the ice cream is freaking great. They have unique flavors and their ice cream is packed with goodies. The last time I went I tried the Rocky Mountain, which was great - loaded with peanuts and caramel. Fantastic ice cream & great customer service. Can't get much better than that. read more

The service is here is terrible because of one worker in particular. Me and my friends went here for ice cream and both paid for two scoops. Mine was half the size of everyone else's because she scooped no ice cream into my cup. My friends had ice cream over filling the cup and mine was less than even a cup size. If i ever went here again i would request to have the other worker over the girl. He (brunette teenager) deserves a raise she (blonde teenager) deserves a demotion. Make sure you guys know your workers and have clear directions on how much ice cream they should be scooping. Everyone should be getting the same amount of ice cream for the same price. read more

I am mighty happy having Liks come up to Conifer after living next door to them in their 13th & Vine St. location in Denver! I have fond memories of the luscious vanilla cones being baked and having access to the best ice cream in the metro area right out my front door. It was great! I love supporting the local businesses and usually have a good experience here until today. I brought 5 older kids in today, we waited patiently and the employee served a couple who arrived after us. I even mentioned we were next and she continued to help them. I'm so disappointed in people and their regard for others. Had that person been alone, I would have offered to let him go first and at the minimum the employee could have asked us. Instead she treated all 6 of us with no respect. She is setting a poor example that kids are less important than adults. read more
