I purchased a brown pair of Nikos and wear them only indoors. To my surprise, on both shoes, the finish has worn off where the front of the toes attach to the footbed, and in other stress points where the leather attaches to a seam. It appears that I was sold a pair of Seconds and was not notified before hand by online seller, Mephisto NW. The sell page I ordered from stated all sales are final with no exchanges or returns. I accepted this caveat and never imagined that the shoes would be defective. Prior to purchase, I navigated to the Seconds page, but did not find the Nikos on that page. I contend that Mephisto NW is knowingly selling defective shoes without warning the buyer.
